The room rates are really good considering the prices in other hotels in the area. The staff is super-friendly. The rooms are clean. It's a good value for money! I would definitely stay there again. Also, later during my stay I realized that the bars and restaurants in that part of Folsom st are very popular, but I have not visited any.
This area in SoMa gets its share of homeless people. If you are a tourist, this homeless issue may cause you to feel unsafe. However, while I stayed in this area, I had absolutely no problems walking around during the day. I did take a taxi back after dark every day, although that may not have been necessary, as there are lots of bars/restaurants nearby, which means lots of people.
Clean, staff friendly, nice restaurants and bares on our street (close the window and no noise), the room is not new but internet works well, have a fridge, big flat screen with loads of channels. So the area around is not so nice but is the same in several areas of SF of poor people on the street. Breakfast orange juice, coffee, tea and same cakes...nothing special but for the total price is a great deal. If your budget is not enormous is a good place to stay.

REMOTE CONTROL DID NOT WORK...even after given a replacement from the front desk ants ants ants everywhere crawling the walls as we watched the world series room 231
Convenient location Clean & Comfortable Staff friendly & helpful
Close to venue we went to
Price difference from booking.com to actual price paid not same. $50 extra hidden fees
The hotel was small and comfortable. The room was clean and spacious.
The staff was very polite and helpful. The bathroom was updated and clean.
There was no air conditioner; but we really didn't need one.
I love san francisco and if I come back I would stay at this hotel again. The place was clean and looking nice with a flat screen tv and good wifi connection. For breakfast they offered some filter coffee and a small selection of pastries. The location was quite ok as well close to the civic center.
My family did not feel safe at this hotel.
Manager and staff were very helpful. The hotel was is in an older area of San Francisco but this made eating out cheaper and convenient.
This suited our needs as we were near our family . It was comfortable sbs clean. Good value for money
The internet didn't work in the room. The breakfast was poor
excellent localisation, near market street and public transports. the area was good and friendly. the staff was friendly.
the breakfast was very poor, only coffee and muffins. the room was very hot, no air conditioner.
Front desk staff corteous and helpful.
The room was small. The bathroom was tiny and had a ventilation system that went on whenever the light was on and the fan was so strong that I froze everytime I had a shower. The breakfast was awful and there was no coffee maker in the room.
Room is for 4 people, but rates are based on 2 people, we need to top-up 20 dollars, because we have 3 people. Parking costs 30 dollars/day. That's too expensive.
We arrived to this hotel in San Francisco late at night , we met Mr Patel . As not many people know, Hotels in the USA hold deposit into your account untill you leave and release them only 4 days later. Mr Patel, was an excellent personn to deal with , He had a sens of flexibility none had during our stay in other hotel. He did not request the payment straight away... We could wait untill other hotel relased our founds!! His personne is amoung the best we met in the US. The group of 30 felt at home in his hotel. Mr Patel and his friends are Chaming, flexible, patient, knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend this hotel as not only it is a quit and clean place but also very well located the center.
The location and the noise from the pub/club on the corner.
Quiet room 201. I like that area of the building. I was at the room next door the time before.
I stayed here a couple of times and enjoyed my stay. About 5 days after one stay I returned only to find out that do not accept debit Bank cards, so I was refused a room. My bank card, from a major bank, also had the VISA/Mastercard logo, but that was not good enough. Was not a happy camper after staying there a few times!!!
I felt very much at home in this hotel having spent a week there, the owner is very hospitible and ready to help out with questions, it was good location, about 15/20 mins walking to union Sq, the cleaning was ok...they don't change your sheets just make the bed.. but def worth it the money you pay being so close to downtown
Cleaning could have been more thorough and better choice for breakfast
The bed was very comfortable and it was very well located. The staff was friendly and helpful.
It is a little noisy during the night
We had to pay an extra 90 dollars because we were four people, even though we did book the room for four people.
The hotel was within walking distance from AT&T ballpark.
There is a bar on the corner and it was loud until 3 in the morning. There was no parking available unless you paid for valet parking. The shower head sprayed water every where but on you. The bedspread was stained. You could hear the couple next door having sex half the night.
For the cost of the room, the quality was exceptional. The family who runs the hotel was kind and welcoming, the room was clean, and the muffins and coffee in the morning were a nice touch. They were renovating the lobby when we arrived, so it should be looking even better soon! Our room was cleaned each day, and although the bathroom was small, it was more than acceptable for the price of the room. My friend and I love the SoMa neighborhood. It was about a 1.5 mile walk to the ferry building marketplace from our hotel, which was great for us! Lots of cute things around the neighborhood to explore if you are a morning jogger, and a nearby food truck park if you are into amazing cheap eats! Overall my friend and I were extremely pleased with our stay.
Room was a little warm when we arrived, but with the windows open everything was fine for us!
