There was no real breakfast, only some assorted muffins in a cardboard box with no plates at all. The breakfast tables were too few and dirty. The room could have been cleaner: there was lots of dirt behind the refrigerator and office table.

the comfort-money balance. the tidiness of the room was also a suprise, especially considering the reviews I've read about the hotel. I cannot call 2 boxes with muffins and a coffe machine a breakfast. As for the rest - everything was ok, espeacially taking into account the price of the room.

Basic facilities but clean and simple. Area was not too noisy in the evenings and there were good value restaurants nearby as well as a mini-market on the corner. Staff were very helpful. Both Marvin and Santos were very good at reception and for 55 pounds a night I do not expect there to be better value for a hotel only 3 blocks away from the Moscone Convention Centre. The place is a bit tired but to be honest it made little difference as everything worked fine.

My stay at ABVI&S was short and sweet. My hotel room was clean, the staff was friendly and the price was extremely reasonable. Overall, it's a great little Economy hotel. The neighborhood isn't the greatest, but having lived in San Francisco before, I realize that it's fairly safe in spite of looking seedy. My room was clean but it needed some touch up paint on the trim. The hallways and outside doors were scuffed and need to be scrubbed. The elevator floor needs to be refinished as well.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. All my questions were answered. And the location and price were all really good. No real complaint other than the room I reserved was a little smaller than I originally thought. But it still worked out fine.

Easy walking distance from conference center. Fire alarm went on at 4 in the morning. False alarm but the staff didn't react, the alarm was left on for 20 minutes. Breakfast is the lousiest ever: muffins and muffins. No fruits, no cereals.

We got a great deal for 6 nights. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel is just a minute or two walk from an awesome coffee shop and breakfast place called the Brainwash. There are also other great places to eat nearby. Also it is just a few blocks from the Bart station so getting to and from the airport was easy. The city bus stop is right there too and is great for getting around the city on. I thought it was a nice place to stay for the price. The room doesn't have much character and it is small, which wasn't a big deal for us, but it would be cramped for a family.

If you are looking for location this is the hotel for you. Our king size bedroom was adequate in size but our bathroom was very small. The floors squeaked. The walls between rooms are not insulated to where you can easily hear people talking, tv on, or other moderate sounds you don't expect to hear especially when resting for the night. We decided not to come back to this hotel. It may fit your needs if you are willing to tolerate as described.

Quiet, staff was very friendly, willing to accommodate our late Check out so we could see a bit more of the city before we left. Bar below was hopping, but the hotel was quite quiet and secluded, which was great after a long day of working a trade show. We were rested and very pleased with the hotel for the exceptional price we got on booking.com. It was easy and a great stay for the value. Lots of great food and coffee options just a short walk, and easy access to Bart. Would definitely stay again if offered for such a good discount on future trips. For a business trip and no frills place to stay, this is perfect. If you are looking for pampering or some kind of memorable place to stay, this is not for you.

It was close to our venue, and the price was actually pretty good for a large group traveling together. The hotel was clean and relatively comfortable, and I greatly appreciated the fact that the hotel uses dispensers for things like lotion, soap, and shampoo--it is both cost- efficient and environmentally responsible. The rooms were much smaller than they looked on the website. The clerks are polite but not exactly friendly. The heat in the rooms is very powerful; while it was good for a cold weekend in San Francisco, the fact that it never seemed to turn off made things a little too warm. The off-site valet parking makes retrieving your car a little time- consuming.

The front desk staff was pleasant.. The location was not very inviting for a female traveling alone. The hotel is down an alley and not very comforting. The room could use updated bedding, it was not very clean. It had a bad odor to it. There are no curtains in the room, did not feel very private. I don't feel that the web site was very accurate in representing what the hotel really looked like or where it was located.

It's a toss up between the sounds of the brothel being run in the room next door or the bar down below. Sheets were dirty, room was unclean...but hey, at least the bugs were friendly.

I loved the room, it was so cute. It had a big comfy bed and the tub was large enough for a nice hot bath after a long day. My only complaint was the noise from the bar below the Inn. The music and people were easily heard late into the night. I'm sure if I had a room that wasn't facing the street it would have been much quieter. That being said, it wasn't so bad that I wouldn't stay there again. The cost was very reasonable and it was just a short walk from Market St where there was plenty to see and plenty to do.

Great value for the money. Nice room in a neighborhood with good restaurants and coffeeshops that was within walking distance (1 mile) of downtown. Bit of late night racket by an intoxicated passerby, then early garbage pickup. It was unseasonably warm, so the windows were open (but the fact that the windows do open is one of the things I liked).
