It´s a simple hotel, perfect to have a shower and sleep. It's clean, comfortable and offers a small breakfast (coffee, juice and muffins), which was fairly enough for us. The price is a good advantage if you are just looking for a place to rest comfortably at night. Other positive detail is the price of the valet, which was cheaper than others The one thing we didn't like that much was the location. During the day it was good, it's really near Market street and bus stops so there's no problem to access it. However, at night we were a bit cautious walking around, but nothing too dangerous. You just have to be alert.

Reception staff attentive. A good budget hotel with no frills. Free Wi fi internet at reception. Bed comfortable , and bathroom facilities were good. Location good to get the whole feel of the city not just the tourist bits.

Older building with a few creeking sounds. Remodeled very nicely. Clean with friendly staff that is very accomadating. Great value when you look at the other places to stay in that area.

Basic facilities but clean and simple. Area was not too noisy in the evenings and there were good value restaurants nearby as well as a mini-market on the corner. Staff were very helpful. Both Marvin and Santos were very good at reception and for 55 pounds a night I do not expect there to be better value for a hotel only 3 blocks away from the Moscone Convention Centre. The place is a bit tired but to be honest it made little difference as everything worked fine.

My stay at ABVI&S was short and sweet. My hotel room was clean, the staff was friendly and the price was extremely reasonable. Overall, it's a great little Economy hotel. The neighborhood isn't the greatest, but having lived in San Francisco before, I realize that it's fairly safe in spite of looking seedy. My room was clean but it needed some touch up paint on the trim. The hallways and outside doors were scuffed and need to be scrubbed. The elevator floor needs to be refinished as well.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. All my questions were answered. And the location and price were all really good. No real complaint other than the room I reserved was a little smaller than I originally thought. But it still worked out fine.

Easy walking distance from conference center. Fire alarm went on at 4 in the morning. False alarm but the staff didn't react, the alarm was left on for 20 minutes. Breakfast is the lousiest ever: muffins and muffins. No fruits, no cereals.

We got a great deal for 6 nights. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel is just a minute or two walk from an awesome coffee shop and breakfast place called the Brainwash. There are also other great places to eat nearby. Also it is just a few blocks from the Bart station so getting to and from the airport was easy. The city bus stop is right there too and is great for getting around the city on. I thought it was a nice place to stay for the price. The room doesn't have much character and it is small, which wasn't a big deal for us, but it would be cramped for a family.

If you are looking for location this is the hotel for you. Our king size bedroom was adequate in size but our bathroom was very small. The floors squeaked. The walls between rooms are not insulated to where you can easily hear people talking, tv on, or other moderate sounds you don't expect to hear especially when resting for the night. We decided not to come back to this hotel. It may fit your needs if you are willing to tolerate as described.

It was close to our venue, and the price was actually pretty good for a large group traveling together. The hotel was clean and relatively comfortable, and I greatly appreciated the fact that the hotel uses dispensers for things like lotion, soap, and shampoo--it is both cost- efficient and environmentally responsible. The rooms were much smaller than they looked on the website. The clerks are polite but not exactly friendly. The heat in the rooms is very powerful; while it was good for a cold weekend in San Francisco, the fact that it never seemed to turn off made things a little too warm. The off-site valet parking makes retrieving your car a little time- consuming.

We wanted a place close to Folsom Fair. We could not get much better than this hotel for that reason. The counter staff were always helpful and obliging. The sheets were never changes. Sometimes there was black hair in the made up beds. The toilet was not always clean. The breakfast was terrible.
