It was near the theater I was taking my wife to as a birthday gift. The staff was pleasant; the pool looked nice (although we didn't have time to try it out). The hotel is a bit moth-eaten; it could use some paint and minor repairs throughout. The door of our room (258, I think) did not close properly. Initially we were sent to the wrong room, one that had not been made up. (This was corrected promptly if not very professionally.) The hotel is not in a particularly classy area of town. There were loud, drinking people from the bar crowding the path we had to use to get to the stairs, which are narrow and uneven. Our first impression was one of disappointment; but overall the stay was pleasant enough. You ask if I'd recommend the hotel to other travelers. My answer is: with reservations, so to speak. If they don't mind rather rudimentary surroundings at a good price, I'd tell them to consider it.

Bed and pool was very nice. Had an ihop attached. The blanket and sheets were clean and warm. The woman who checked us in was concerned about our privacy since it was our Anniversary and moved us away from the bar. Locks were good. Carpet good. Had shampoo. Tv good. Dresser drawers were deep. Ac blew cold. Asked for extra towels and one of the employees brought it to my room even before I got there. Many things..bathroom could be cleaner with a good wipe down with comet,including walls and ceiling,it did not have a fan. Cracked tile. Shower was not working correctly. There was road construction they did not tell us about that kept us up all night with a big day the next day. Opened ac panel and the whole door came off. Worn curtains. Some of the towels and hand-cloths need replaced.One of the lights I could not turn off unless I got down and unplugged it. Had to unplug something anyway so I could plug up my laptop by the table/desk. There was alot of things we thought were included but we would have to pay extra they said. Examples microwave and refrigerator. Did not have hair conditioner even at the desk. One of my pillows had sharp feathers pointing out of the pillowcase like a porcupine. Coffee brewer in room only made instant in a Styrofoam cup.

I liked the reasonable price and ability to book online fast. The desk receptionist sucked. The shower squeaked and there was no fridge in the room. The towels were cheap and extremely dingy. The sheets felt itchy and dirty. The room smelled like a smoker had a party in it. Id only recommend it for the cheap. There was no water just sink water and coffee that I dont drink. I recommended to one family and two others booked. Convenient but the floor could have been swept and the toilet seat should be replaced it was raggedy.
