great rooms, friendly staff
The location is near the railway station and the trains were to loud
Smoke smell in a non- smoker room
I loved the kitchen facilities. The staff was amazingly helpful. Being so close to the freeway onramp (and yet far enough away to not hear traffic) was great for our vacation.
While the rooms were very clean, the hallways in the hotel were not.
Value fir money
Trains blowing their horns 24/7. Awful location.
Not too far from the event that we came to see. The route was straight down 66 about ten miles away.
The alarm clock was broken.
Nice for the entrance to the room so you don't have to haul stuff up the stairway.
Breakfast over too soon
Worth the price.
The pillows were cheap foam. They would not compress down and the angle at which they placed my neck caused a crick. The WiFi was erratic. I had to hit reload on my browser to get web pages to load.
New everything! ALL the amenities. This is where you want to stay! Super clean and comfortable!
Staff was very accommodating.
Next door to freight train tracks. Train whistles at night woke up some of us but not others.
Train runs by there several times in the early morning.
The size of the room was outstanding.
The noise from nearby trains was often. We always like take a short walk around the property and neighborhood to stretch and relax after a long drive. We didn't feel safe and secure in the area around the complex.
I was upgraded to a suite without even asking. It had everything I needed in the room. Stove, fridge, dishes and many other things needed to cook a meal.
no view from window:)
old, noisy train, smell in the room
Location on the historic Route 66, comfortable rooms
We traveled 11 days and this was the best hotel that we stayed in. The suite was very nice and roomy. would recommend to families traveling
Poor maintenance of facilities. Thin hard towels. Lousy internet reception. Antique TV with cable box that barely worked. Noisy trains nearby.
Cost was very good. Facility clean. Breakfast availability nice to have for cost.
Too close to railroad with loud horns during night. Sketchy neighborhood. Bathroom doors did not lock. No pool. Poor quality shampoo/conditioner/soap.
Clean and neat
Its a little well worn
It was clean.
Staff was indifferent. Gentleman didn't even know how big Gallup was when asked.
Clean & comfortable. Very reasonably priced.
Staff was friendly and pleasant.
One of my pillows had a disgustingly dirty pillowcase. Parking is strange. There are only 4 spaces up front. There is no parking along the side of the building. Parking is way at the back of the lot and didn't look safe to me. Breakfast is mediocre.
This is a budget-friendly place to stay, and for a roadtrip traveler like me, you get the minimum that I look for -- a sense of cleanliness when you walk in the room & a comfortable enough bed. Gallup is a cool town, and Red Rock State Park is incredibly beautiful -- I wish I had been in town for the Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial. The hike to Pyramid Rock in Red Rock is exquisite.
It's hard to know how much of my discomfort was the product of the hotel or staying along Historic Route 66...There is a lot of lodging along Rte 66, but keep in mind that much of the Route was built along the Santa Fe line, so there are trains going all night. Also, near this hotel is a municipal airport. My recommendation is to bring earplugs or to find a place to stay that's further from the train tracks.
