Room was clean and comfortable.
The blankets were way too thin, especially for a wintertime stay!
We really were impressed with the size and amenities of the suite. It was a great value for the price paid. We would stay there again and will probably do so next year when we come through again.
Probably just the freight trains which travel through town at all hours of the day and night, but that is just part and parcel of staying in Gallup.
Mother was cold, she would have liked a comforter on the bed. We had one in the car but didn't realize her need till morning.
I liked the room we had which was good. I did like the house keeping cleaned the room well everyday we came back.
The train was hard to fall asleep to. Other than that it was a nice place wish they served more at breakfast like the Baymont Inn in Albuquerque NM.
The staff was very courteous, helpful and kind. The 2 room suite was very spacious and just what we needed for many ppl doing homework.
This is not a 3 star. Its maybe a 2. We were just passing theu for one night & just needed something affordable and safe. It was very apparent which "side" of town we were on. The staff do the very best they can with what they have to work with. The hotel is old, furniture is old w stains/smells. There is a loud train but we knew what we were getting into when we pulled through the neighborhood & reading other reviews. Around 5:00am train seemed to blow the horn every 30 minutes. It seemed to be a popular stop for truckers.
safe, accommodating, good variety in continental breakfast.
the access to I-40 wasn't as close/obvious as I would have liked.
The room and hallways were clean and did not have any objectionable odor. Continental breakfast was as advertised. The noise from the trains was less than we expected from the reviews. We only heard 2 whistles around 7 AM which were quite brief.
The facility is quite old and shows signs of wear. Although the room had a cable box, there was an old CRT TV. The Xfinity remote was not programmed to control the TV and there was no other remote. The cable box was not programmed to show only subscribed channels in the guide so it was difficult to pick a program as it would often not be available.
Very nice motel and comfortable room. No problems at all
Staff. Wifi didn't work. Room was Okay.
The price was very good (just over $50 incl taxes/fees) for the two queen bed room. Comfortable beds, clean, nicely appointed room. Old CRT type tv, but the screen was large enough, and worked well. This location either new or newly remodeled. Free breakfast was better than most motel breakfasts, with plenty of fix-it-yourself choices of cereals, toast.
The location on west Rt 66 was convenient for our stay, but the area has many older motels and other businesses that are boarded up. Not a seedy area, just in business decline, except for a newer, busy McDonalds next door. Trains across the street were a little noisy.
Breakfast, location on route 66, amenities are good.
Almost impossible to sleep as trains honk all night long next to the hotel. No crib for my son as well.
Great value for the money. We were given a free upgrade to a suite. Clean, comfortable... Highly recommend this place.
We travelled from Ottawa,Canada to Phoenix, Arizona this was simply best hotel that we used in our trip. The people were just super. Yours truly Andre
I liked that the room was clean... we got a two queen and exactly what i had reserved.. the breakfast is one of the better ones ive had at a 3 star hotel.. it had really good sweet bread, cereal with fresh milk (perfect for a toddler), atoaster for the bread with cream cheese spread. I had read previous reviews regarding the loud noise of the train that goes by all night.. tbh i slept the entire night.. didnt even notice, so did my toddler.. so meh i think our stay was one of the better ones! ;)
Staff friendly and helpful
Bed way too firm Carpets in walkways could be cleaner Parking access and signage needs improvement Some parking area has minimal security
Clean room. Great staff. Value for the dollar was excellent.
Pillows could have been better. No other complaints.
Staff. Location Security
Nice and clean
Trains blowing their horns all night !!!
large rooms, fully equipped
the staff, though friendly, was not very helpful. there was a strong sewage smell in our room, we could tell they knew because they tried to use air fresheners, but it didn't help much.
Price and location
Carpet really dirty
Nice rooms. My mother traveled with us and had a very nice handicap room. Rooms were clean. Staff went out of their way to accommodate.
Lights were out in the parking lot. Trains run through on a regular basis.
Easy access, fair price
Ice machine didn't work.
Access to room from both inside and outside. Friendliest employees, and informative. A great place to stay.
Not a thing!
