It is the second time I stay at this hotel, the location is perfect, it is really good! The staff are the best!
It could be more acessible for disabled people.
Friendly staff Great location Cute decor
Everything. Would definitely come back.
Clean, good location, price for location
Expensive wifi, no breakfast,small bath
Location is excellent as is comfort and cleanliness.
No tea or coffee making facilities in roomNo free wifi which is normally available in much lower priced hotels!Exorbitant prices in mini bar and trays of gifts and chocolate etc in room.
Location Beds Friendly Staff Nice, cozy bar
The location was perfect, so close to time square, but far enough away from the noise. Very clean and a good size room
No free wifi, I feel this should be included in the room. I had a problem with a card payment that I wanted changed and I felt some staff couldn't be bothered to deal with it so brushed it off and told me it was done when it hadn't. Luckily I checked at the end otherwise I would've been charged £60 by my bank!!!!
The only thing I was dissapointed about was not having tea/coffee in the room
Hotel is amazing so close walking distance to most places. I will use this hotel again and recommend it to others.
location between Timesquare and Central Park, nice design of the room
expensive (especially taxes), no free wifi, staff not really friendly and no light in the room.
Super comfy bed, friendly staff, great location
Having to pay for wifi
Quiet room, comfortable bed, great location.
Being my first time in NYC, I don't know if the hotel is a value for the money so I gave it a fair rating. The room was very clean and comfortable. Both my daughter and I slept well. The hotel was very modern, contemporary decorated. And clean. The staff was wonderful. Helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is located close to Central Park, numerous subway stations, 10 blocks from Times Square and the Theater District and numerous restaurants. Everything within walking distance.
The facilities also received a fair rating because we were in NYC 3 days and the first 1.5 days the elevators worked intermittently. The room was very small. The only walking area at the end of the bed. I would have preferred a larger room for the money but as I said, I don't know the values of NYC. I did read in my research that hotel rooms are small in NYC. But I've stayed in smaller.
Location was great, staff was very pleasant and helpful. Very accommodating.
Location and friendly staff.
No coffee in room and only available first thing in the morning downstairs.
Friendly, professional, helpful staff. Funky reception decor. Comfy beds. Super location. Close by restaurants and bars :)
Astronomical mini-bar prices! :(
Location- it's in the heart of midtown next door to the cbs studio where letterman is filmed, the nearest subway is a block away and within a three block radius is Times Square, Theatre District, Hells Kitchen, Central Park, Columbus Circle, MoMA and more The Bellman were exceptionally helpful, courteous and professional. I think 'Jeff' was the doorman who helped us with our departure and he was incredibly attentive, thoughtful and polite
rooms are small but comfortable however there is no storage or surface area - not even a cot for your suitcase to keep it off the floor We lost power in our room twice over a five night stay with only the television two lights and an iron plugged in - and when we called to alert the front desk the response was you can't have too many things on at once... perhaps they should rethink our response to include something like an i'm sorry for the inconvenience... and really, if the hotel is too cheap to update the electrical perhaps they should not have oversized plasma tvs in the room that can easily overload a circuit when an iron or blow dryer are added to the mix the cleaning staff is polite but ineffective. The sheets were not changed once. We had to ask for towels everyday- either too few or none were left, but most often only bath and hand towels were left- not face towels? fortunately the housekeeping closet was also unlocked and easily accessible so some days we just had to help ourselves to the clean towels. Although I saw an archaic looking vacuum, I never once heard one run and it did not appear that they vacuumed our room once during our stay. beds are mushy soft and low to the ground one of the untouched shower nozzles fell off but fortunately did not hit her, while my mom was showering and we notified the front desk who never repaired it Clearly it's in the midst of a reno but it seems like a very cosmetic and somewhat rushed facelift the electrical closet was unlocked and often left open exposing what appeared to be used as a trash storage space the stairwell looked like a construction storage space the floors are uneven and seem a bit unsteady in some areas continental breakfast is $11.99 per person but should be free- it includes coffees tea water boiled eggs cereal oatmeal yogurt danish bagels toast some fruit... nothing hot or freshly prepared
Our first trip as a couple, we were looking for something affordable, yet nice. The ameritania offered both. This was the best deal we could find that offered location, cleanliness, and relaxation. The ladies at the front desk were friendly, and very helpful when we would ask directions. The bellman was extraordinary. He did not let us touch our bags once entering the hotel. He made sure that we had a ride back to the airport, and even loaded our (very heavy) luggage inside. We had a great New York experience, and we will be sure to recommend this place to anyone travelling to the Big Apple.
Toilet made noise that sounded line air in pipes. Was disruptive to sleep. We were only there for 2 nights so we just dealt with it.
Friendly and very helpful staff great location Large and clean rooms comfortable beds
wifi charge per device
Loved the staff - had an issue with the booking (booked a double, confirmation was for a single),but my email was answered and resolved immediately. Check in was a breeze, they arranged for car service and bag storage for the day of our departure. Location was fabulous - 5 min. walk to Central Park and Times Square. Clean, modern, beds were amazing
