Very cold in bathroom.
Staff are service oriented and very helpful Location is perfect for downtown/waterfront venues Spacious modern rooms
The don't have a proper restaurant but they have a full bar with live music (not really a problem as there are so many food options in the area)
We had an issue with a noisy guest and not only was it taken care of immediately (even at 3am), but we were given a discount for the inconvenience. Very friendly staff, good sized rooms, clean and modern and in an excellent location. I highly recommend this hotel.
Really helpful staff, especially on reception desk Very comfortable room with excellent bed Brilliant location
No coffee machine in rooms, Table not clean Bed not good
Good location Friendly staff who are happy to help
The room no natural light No windows in room. Room required artificial light at all times Room expensive for what you get not good value for money.
The location is perfect
No electric kettle, microwave, snakes are for sale.
Really helpful and welcoming staff. Thank you.
Breakfast was a little poor. Would have appreciated fresh bagels. Fruit and juice good.
Very central to sightseeing. Reasonably priced (for Boston).Good deal on nearby parking.
Charles was fantastic organised dinner where to go hotel is superb and a great location
In the centre
Noice from outside...
-Very clean and modern - friendly staff - good location
- there is only a curtain between the glass bathroom and the rest of the room which is fairly see through when the lights are on...would be better with a solid wall or a thicker curtain for times when staying with friends etc.
The location was directly in the heart of Boston. The rooms had enough space and I liked the style of it.
Altough I did mention what I have used from the minibar (without letting them ask) the front desk wanted to double check it and was not ready to go and check it while I was there. Being treatened like this is the last thing what a "client" wants to have. The overall staff was very negative as well. Would not recommend to go.
Location and very comfortable room and facilities
Great location in the centre of Boston. Had great view of the Old State House from my room.
Wifi connection was poor
Location was great. The rooms were clean and spacious.
Sub-way goes under building. We were on the third floor and the room vibrated and was noisy when the sub-way went by. That happen several time during the night. We bought some ear plug and that helped. No coffee in the rooms or lobby. When you pay top dollar for a room I feel it should include a cup of coffee in the morning.
Location is brilliant for everything. Design of the hotel is great Doormen were also very friendly and helpful Valet parking service is good - competitively priced with city centre car parks but much more convenient.
We had one room with our kids (aged 6 and 8) and double double doesn't really work for 4 person occupancy at this hotel as the beds are very small and there is virtually no storage space other than two very small drawers and a small wardrobe. Breakfast in a pub setting didn't work for us either. There is no other restaurant there.
The hotel and room were incredible. And the shower, oh my god the shower. Totally made the stay
Staff wasn't terribly friendly and bed was a little harder than I'd like
did not expect a band playing at the downstairs bar...very nice surprise
shower control nozzle - no H or C lettering
Our room was spacious, the view fantastic and the bathroom was great. Loved the breakfasts in the bar - they were just what we needed. Bar food at night was good too.
A kettle in the room would have been great. Getting laundry done was hideously expensive.
Fantastic room with plenty of space. Derek at front door was exceptional and always on hand to offer advice. Great location and we loved the shower room. Would highly recommend this hotel
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Ames. The location was ideal for a tourist in Boston. Close to everything. The room was very nice, bed comfortable and entire facility was spotless.
Hotel really doen't have much of a restaurant. This was not a big issue for us since we ate out every meal.
Perfect location and the staff, as well as 99% of Bostonians, were as freindly and helpful as could be.
I booked a special room trype, as it showed on the website, and even called several times upon arriving to make sure....and when we arrived that room type was SOLD OUT. I could not believe it. It totally changed the dynamics of our stay and bummed us out the whole time. We were onm the 15th floor....very top...with little tiny windows that start about 5 feet up the wall so we could not see a dang thing but sky and MAYBE one or two roof tips. Extremely disappointing to say the least.
Love the location and the staff is amazing!
Rooms looked good online but once in the room you notice the furniture isn't the best quality (IKEA-ish). The bed wasn't the most comfortable either; wasn't worth the price we paid. We would consider staying there again at a lower price because of location, cleanliness and the staff! :-)
