Location, quirky design that works, friendly staff. Everything was perfect.
Great staff, best location, central for walking T right there,
Rooms are spacious, clean, modern and very comfortable. Excellent location. Overall good experience.
The staff was fantastic! All of the concierge's recommendations were spot on! Very professional and a top notch establishment!
Lots of street noise, sirens mainly.
I loved the convenience of this hotel. located so close to Fanuel Hall and across the street from the subway. This history and restoration/preservation of this hotel were also big factors in our decision to stay there. When we had any questions or needs, the staff was very quick to help satisfy them.
I arrived mid-afternoon, after travelling since 5am, without stopping for breakfast or lunch. I didn't realize that room service was offered only after 5pm. There was not a coffee pot, or coffee service available, either. However, the staff did offer to send a Keurig with all provisions needed to make lovely coffee in our room, and continued to keep it stocked with coffee, cream and sugar during the remainder of our week.
Pretty fixtures and decor, central location and nice amenities, good breakfast
LOUD! Street noise, sirens, the windows are not double paned, LOUD inside the hotel, very thin walls and you can hear everything, I mean everything, going on in the adjacent rooms. The staff is too cool to help you with the doors or your luggage.
Location was great
Impossible to sleep with all the noise outside
Well maintained, respectable building in Heart of Boston....... Big rooms, clean rooms
Empty Restaurant space on mezz/first floor, with unobstructive views of Historical Boston...........Why is this not being used
Location, felt safe, I would definitely come back....The young man in charge of breakfast, I think his name was Xavier? and the hostess were so extremely nice and helpful to us. The housekeeping staff met every need and very friendly as well. The hotel truly was central to most anything worth seeing. I recommend Fannuiel Hall Marketplace, Au Bon Pain (great pastries, soups etc.) afternoon tea at the Taj, and definitely a stroll through Boston Common Park.
the floors in our room seemed dirty, but that was fixable!
Within walking distance to many attractions like the aquarium and Quincy Market.
Bathroom and shower
Breakfast was pitiful
No pool or hot tub
Location, staff, overall room, ease to Fanueil Hall, views. Overall beautiful hotel.
Mini fridge was broken and needed to be replaced, shade was broken so didn't sleep full night first night, wand in shower was broken. It was annoying for the money spent to have those things happen. However the staff was attentive and saw to it the items were fixed as quickly as possible.
Very central location, we had superior king room omg bed was huge and so comfy. On our trip we stayed at 4 hotels easily the biggest and most luxurious bed.
Location, location, location
Shower was dangerous, very slippery and shower wand in a weird place. Breakfast was okay. No real staff to greet you to explain that you are on your own. Nice hotel but I've slept in nicer hotels that were cheaper but you pay for the location.
The location was in the heart of our favorite places to hang out while in Boston. We loved the modern decore of this historic building.
Everyone was very polite and helpful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The elevators were always quick. I was on the 7th floor and never waited more than a few seconds for the elevator. The location was quite good for me for a first trip to Boston solo. For any other visitors interested in seeing USS Constitution, a quick way is to walk down State Street to the Long Wharf and take the water taxi to the Charlestown Navy Yard where the ship will be on view until sometime in 2015. The water taxi is reasonably priced, quick, and a 2 block walk from the museum and ship. That was my purpose for going to Boston - History. Also, the old north Boston was a friendly place to traverse when observing other history. Little Italy being there is a plus. If after 2018 you should be in Boston for the ship's turn around, the Washington foot Bridge offers a good viewing spot for seeing her coming in and out of her berth.
I was prewarned by other reviewers that there were not tea or coffee making appliances so I took one of my own - one of those in the cup water heaters. It worked well. Just remember you will need 2 mugs if you are doing auto drip coffee. A USS Constitution mug came in handy for me as I did not think of that till after I was there. I enjoy coffee and tea, so I took care of my needs myself. A hot cup of tea is nice in the evening.
The location was perfect.
Very helpful staff even when there was a mistake in the reservation
Restaurant, bar... but lots of them around
Great location right in the middle of Boston.
I loved the location, you could walk to all the main attractions (Commons, Freedom Trail, waterfront, shopping district) w/in 5-10 mins. Parking was close to the hotel, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, huge room, beautiful bathroom.
The room was nice but overpriced, will probably stay near the Beacon st. area next time, due to the price. The room was not as clean as I had hoped, dusty, some black spots on the wall, the floor had not been cleaned in a while, and I had to clean some food remains off the headboard. Working the shower was an adventure, I think there was something wrong w/ the shower levers.
Good location, clean and comfy. A big room, with great arched windows. Nice to sit on the inside window ledge and stare out at the city. Free wifi was a nice touch.
Too expensive, not worth $300+/night. The fridge was warm and couldn't be adjusted to colder. No room service.
Location (close to historic sights, park, subway)
Excellent location for sightseeing, restaurants, shopping. Very friendly staff. Clean room and hotel.
The height and width of the bathtub ledge made it very difficult to step in/out. Staff were prompt in providing a step stool, but it was still quite hazardous.
- good location, easy to go shopping around; - hotel room design very fashion
- very noisy in the night from street and from nearby Music Gound, loud music and people cheers... - No continental breakfast
