Location to Disneyland (walking distance), separate room for kids to sleep
There weren't enough parking spots for the number of people staying at the hotel. Once we got a spot, we then didn't want to go out in the car and loose it.
It was! Quiet
Location and comfort.
we booked two rooms, one family suite and one with two queens. i recommend getting a family suite, comes with a mini fridge BUT no freezer. the staff members will be happy to put it in the housekeeping freezer if you bring your ice packs to them (they'll give you a claim ticket). location was perfect for us, in the middle of everything walking distance.
family suite tub wasn't the typical bath tub for the kiddies and the water ran slow so i couldn't even fill the tub a little bit. with a 16 month old it's hard to get them to shower!
in the middle of just about everything (walking distance)
shower/tub water ran a little slow, there is NO free public parking as stated in this listing
For our length of stay I would of liked to of had a mini fridge. The rooms were nice and comfortable the balcony was a great addition.
Lack of mini fridge. Construction going on nearby, which was out of their control. Entry doors to hotel are not automatic.
Excellent location as it is less than 10 minutes (walking distance) from Disneyland; We arrived on a Saturday and there was complimentary valet parking which was great bc the parking garage was small; checking in was a breeze- it took less than 10 minutes to get from our car into our hotel room which was perfect; there is also a laudry area (coin operated) which is always a plus bc I have an unpredictable 2yr old.
Rooms were spacious but felt a little musty/stuffy. The A/C give off a weird smell whenever we turned it on (almost sewer smelling) so we left it off and just left our balcony door opened through the night. We didn't complain about it bc after a long day at the parks, we were too exhausted to address the issue.
The staff is really friendly; they answered questions, helped when we needed it, and had their maintenance staff fix a problem quickly and correctly. There weren't any spots left in their super tiny lot, but they have free valet parking, so it wasn't really an issue. It's also right next to CVS and a tiny market, so we could pick up what we needed. IHOP is across the street if you don't want to eat in your room. It's also on the same side of the street as the parks, so it's just a straight shot down the road.
I wish there was breakfast. It was annoying that the air blew directly onto the bed; I was really cold, but we couldn't turn up the heat because the room itself would get too hot. Also, the person who cleaned our room left tons of washcloths but never any hand towels; we had to actually ask for them. It's also not the quietest place; I could hear the ice machine down the hall and the alarm clock in the neighbor's room.
It was one of the few hotels that offer a double connected room for the kids so we were able to put them to bed and have SOME pricacy . staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Location is excellent. About a 10-15 min walk to the park with a CVS and 7-11 on the way (shop there and save a ton on food /drinks :-) )
The walls are VERY THIN. The curtain on the French doors is completely sheer so there is only privacy from the other room if all the lights are out. Most importantly for me is the bed was VERY uncomfortable. To be fair, I have a temperpedic at home but these beds do not compare to Marriott or Sheridan beds. Overall a good value and location.
It was walking distance to Disneyland
That our camera went missing and now we felt uncomfortable leaving our belongings there
Size of room, coming back every day to a very clean room. I work in a hotel so I know the standard of my hotels cleanliness and I was happy w the standard at Portofino.
Front end staff was not friendly. Stayed 5 nights and almost every interaction I walked away unsatisfied, feeling like a burden and a bother to the staff. Not getting knowledgeable answers.
When I checked in staff was good and room pretty clean and quiet.
Last time I stayed here there was a refrigerator but this time there wasn't and front desk said there is a $10/day charge. This was disappointing because this was the reason we picked this hotel because my son needed a refrigerator for his medicine.
The rooms were very clean. The walk to Disney parks were only 10 mins
There were no restaurants in the hotel itself but plenty within walking distance
The location and price are good.
The hotel is currently power washing and repainting the exterior which makes for loud cherry pickers and power washing equipment. They are also doing construction on the back parking lot so there is not enough parking, you will be sent to park your car at the hotel next door. The construction makes for a very loud stay. I wouldn't stay at this hotel until the work is done.
The bed is the only thing
Construction! Asked for a microwave got a fridge instead! The air didnt work properly and it was freezing. Staff was rude most of the time. Random workers on our balcony painting at 9am. Because of the construction and loud mexicans on my balcony I got no sleep. I would've like to have been informed at least when I checked in that there was construction and random people on my balcony like come on my curtains weren't all the way shut and Mexicans were probably staring at me! I want my money back. All 4 nights sucked. And I already put all my money into this overpriced hotel.
fridge, microwave, separate sleeping area for the kids, easy walk to Disneyland, Didn't charge extra for parking
coffee and maker in the room wasn't great
Close to convention center and Disney
Not all staf was willing to help No breakfast at hotel No free shuttle
Room was spacious and close to Disneyland.
It needed to be a lot cleaner. There were splatter marks all over all the doors which I ended up wiping up myself with some clorox wipes. The carpets could use a shampoo, and the shower curtain needed to be washed.
Located close to Disneyland. Many restaurants close by.
Bed was soft. Parking spaces were not easy to find if coming in late in the day.
Location is great -- convention center is steps away and Disney parks are an easy 10 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants in area to choose from as well as public transportation.
Opened drapes and saw trash and newspaper thrown on hedges of patio -- not at all inviting to step outside. Housekeeping should take a look to see patio is clean.
Place was very clean. No complaints
Loved the bunk beds for the kids. The sliding doors dividing the suite were also very nice.
There's not a lot of guest parking available. BUT valet was great.
The location to walk to places or taking the buses.
The hotel was in poor condition. The wheel chair access was very poor in door ways and rooms we had to switch rooms because all of the door ways were poor. Wall plugs did not hold anything, I had a sister with oxygen and it kept coming out. I did not have time to talk with management on this matter. I will not return to your hotel.
I loved the family suite and that there were two sinks, which made getting ready in the morning nice. There was a sink in the bathroom and one right outside the bathroom. There was free valet when there weren't any parking spots available one night. It was very helpful that we were provided a little area map so we knew how close to the theme parks we were as well as the restaurants nearby.
The room was dark when we came in and the refrigerator wasn't cold. For the price of the room there wasn't a continental breakfast and there wasn't a restaurant on location, but there was an IHOP right across the street.
I liked the very friendly and helpful staff and the housekeeping staff did a great job on our room despite the fact we had stuff everywhere they still managed to get the room cleaned .
The smell !! It had the funkiest smell as soon as you walked in. And the ac kinda sucked in our room it was leaking water.
