Great location-- right on beautiful stretch of beach, short walk to town for restaurants and shops, beds incredibly comfortable, very clean, beautifuly landscaped with fall natural decorations, nice pool/hot tub area, helpful staff.
These are just small things that would have made our stay even better--would have appreciated luggage stands so that we weren't juggling our clothing from the floor.Would have liked a few extra towels in the room and better attention by housekeeping to refresh soap and toiletries, and would have liked a full length mirror in the room.
There was not a restaurant on site. Eating breakfast in a cold tent with a coat on is not a positive. Not have coffee in the room but having to dress and cross two parking lots for coffee in am
I wanted to show Maine off to my California friend, and the Anchorage didn't disappoint. Beautifully located on the shore of the Atlantic and the stunning Marginal Way. Close to beaches, shopping and food! We' ll return when we can spend more time.
The only thing I would have loved was an in-room coffee maker. Other than that, couldn't have asked for more.
Hot Tubs, pool, balcony with partial ocean view, Maggie the manager, Richard H checkin and the greatest walk in the country at Marginal Way out the back of the hotel.
no breakfast, no coffee in room, 2.00 for USA newspaper
Excellent location and great amenities. The restaurant was a hidden gem. Great and tasty dinner and breakfast. Rooms were fresh and clean.
Stayed in the Towers. Walls were thin. You could hear everything from above and next to you.
Everything was excellent
Hot tubs are great perfect location
We stayed at Anchorage by the Sea for one night. The next time we travel to Maine we will plan to stay at your place for a few days and take advantage of everything that you offer.
great location, views, restaurant & food, pools, adirondack chairs on lawn, staff, cleanliness, cost, landscaping
I didn't realize I'd booked at the "Towers" which is across the street. There was a smell in the elevator and in the room - after keeping the balcony door open for a while the room was ok.
Marginal Way edges the property. Pool area is gorgeous and has multiple options. Nice that there are hot tubs for adults only. Lots of options for types of rooms. Staff friendly and helpful.
Everything! The grounds onto the Marginal Way overlooking Ogunquit Beach. The Surf Point restaurant with great food, great service, and live dinner music- appealing background guitar, vocals. The gas fireplace in our room. The amazingly gorgeous grounds/ landscaping. The staff, that was all very professional and helpful.
My few suggestions are adding clothing hooks in the closet and bathroom; and perhaps a sturdier shelf or small cabinet in the bathroom for toiletries (so the counter doesn't become cluttered). Also consider adding a shelf or small cabinet near the small refrigerator for snacks, and a microwave or toaster oven for reheating leftover meals.
I made my reservation via Booking.com and my bill was $ 547.56 I dont understand I was charge $610. and I did not take any service. Please can you tell me wy ?
Location location location right on marginal way a beautiful walkway with magnificent views The restaurant was very good at the hotel and for breakfast cafe amore served the best breakfast I ever had we split an everything bagel with cream cheese lox onion tomatoe and capers I also had homemade corn beef hash and an omelet with home made arisen toast can't wait to go back
Small refrigerator in room on table not built in a little tacky and they charged for newspapers couldn't find any other faults wish we stayed longer
Love the location and amenities.
Meal for lunch, please vegetables instead of french fries in your menu.
The view is stunning
Location was excellent - walking distance from the town and Perkins Cove. Bed was comfortable. Room was large and very clean. Staff was friendly.
We were in a building across the street from the main building, which we weren't aware of when we booked. The staff directed us to the "Flagship Building" and we were told to park int he back. Once parked, we weren't able to find the sign for the building, so it was a bit confusing trying to find where to go. Also, being in a different building, we didn't have the amenities of the main building, such as free coffee and tea all day, unless you wanted to walk across the street. That being the case, it would have been nice to have coffee somewhere in our building. There is only one vending machine with drinks on the 1st floor and we were located on the second. Bath towels were small. There was no hook on the bathroom door to hang robes, PJ's etc. Also, had to pay for the newspaper, which other facilities provide for free. All small things, I realize, but things that I would expect from a hotel with such good ratings and for the price.
location was perfect, the rooms were comfortable and clean and the amenities were excellent.
Sketchy internet conneciton
Outside pool and front lawn is all beautiful. Very nicy landscaped as we'll. Would return. Oh. Coffee pot in room would be great although appreciated that coffee was available 24/7 in main office. Thanks for a nice stay!
Restaurant was excellent , very pleased and surprised . Best we've been to in area
room was clean and comfortable
restaurant service was terrible, no ice in machines, hot water in office broken, one desk staff person did his best to help us, the rest were useless. Overall poor service for the five star price we paid.
