Anchorage Grand Hotel  

Location great, large, comfortable rooms, breakfast appreciated. Excellent value. We have also stayed at the Hilton in Anchorage- we recommend you stay at the Grand instead!

Trains are noisy, but we live near trains at home so it didn't really bother us- we found their honking funny!

Staffs are very helpful, friendly and the place is very homely and comfortable. Apple and cookies are always available at the counter for your enjoyment. My stay at Anchorage is more enjoyable and memorable because of Anchorage Grand Hotel. Thank you to George, Pearl, Georgia and all the housekeepers for the wonderful experience at your hotel.

Wonderful value - very spacious, updated rooms with nice bedding, great amenities, and friendly hospitality. We were very pleased with our stay and would recommend the hotel highly.

Lovely place, stayed twice :-) Very convenient location for city centre and train.

Convenience: wife can walk to mall and stores while I am at work. We can walk to company events downtown. The apartments are roomy and the views can be great from the corner rooms.

Getting luggage to & from room can be a hassle, since you cannot go directly from the front door to the elevator and there are no rooms on the same level as the front door.

Not actually a hotel,more a one bedroom apartment. Very comfortable & well set out. About 100mts. from the Alaskan railway station.

We enjoyed the spaciousness of the apartment and proximity to the Railway Station as we were using rail transport. Also within walking distance of the city centre. The freshly baked biscuits and apples that the reception staff produced was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The noise of the trains till all hours of the night . You have to accept the noise if you want to be close to the rail but the 'hooting' seemed a bit excessive.

Clean, great delivered continental breakfast, wonderful location.

We liked the spaciousness of the suite and the well-equipped kitchen but best of all was its location--very close to the downtown core and also to the coastal trail.

The many stairs made hauling a suitcase a bit of a challenge.

The bedroom is separate from the large living area and has a well equipped kitchen. The bed is comfortable and good bathroom. The windows can open to let in fresh air. Very good free WiFi. Also has laundry facilities available at very reasonable price.

It is right next to railway station so it is a bit noisy. Continental breakfast is complimentary but extremely basic. We went out for breakfast after seeing what was on offer!

Dirty carpets and furniture and inadequate room service.

We greeted by your friendly staff and given very informative information and lots of advice where to go for meals and shopping. Everything was perfect, top marks to you all.

The price

The hotel is too hot and you can't sleep with the windows open because the hotel overlooks the train station and the engine drivers blow their whistles at all hours!!!
