needs to be remodeled smell of chlorine from pool in hallway
Clean room Pleasant decore
Strong overwhelming chlorine smell in halls
The pool and hot pool. The location was convenient.
The staff wasn't at fault, BUT whoever was in the room above ours stomped around like giants, dropping things loudly for several hours on end. That plus the air conditioner didn't have a lot of fan power to even help cover the racket above.
Location clean comfortable room
Hot in halls, distance to bathroom from breakfast area, crowded bteakfast area
You couldn't have made a smaller bathroom - It was VERY small
previous guest socks and tshirts left over in the room. cleanliness obviously sucks.
Hot tub with waterfall was pleasant, desk staff was friendly, protein (hard cooked eggs) at breakfast was awesome, bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows once I remade it and smoothed and put the fitted sheet and mattress cover on the mattress, the "cottagey" bathroom was cute, no charge for parking but too far to walk downtown where there is very little parking at all and none free, AC cooled the room very well, but the low setting was broken, having a refrigerator saved on eating out, there was plenty of food at breakfast but not enough chairs so we ate standing since our room was three floors up and at the other end, booking an expensive room in a new place from online is always a risk, but we were generally pleased with this one, especially considering the high prices in the area.
Other hot tubbers turned on very vigorous jets without asking, room/entrance key had to be reactivated each time we used it, the eggs were cooked really hard, we lost an item and in carefully looking for it discover a quarterand a pair of socks under the bed skirt before deciding to stop exploring under there for fear of what else would be there, close to the interstate, but quiet enough with the windows shut and AC on, a microwave safe mug or bowl would have been useful so we could have used the microwave, we felt glad to get a nice room at all since many places were full, but the overall feel didn't justify a rate at the top of our budget.
It was a good to sleep on our way, just outside Boston
When we checked in, we received a free up grade from a double queen to a suite. Very happy with the accommodations enjoyed the hot tub and indoor pool
What's not to like, our room was so beautiful, it felt so comfortable, Strawberry Banke, absolutely gorgeous!
Location to the highway, restaurants and shopping. Wonderful, courteous, staff. Jumped thru hoops to make sure we had the accommodations we needed for our limited mobility. We arrived early and the staff did all they could to place us in a room that was suitable to our limited mobility. Continental breakfast was also a hit with us.
The location only
Our room was smelly and damp. Everything felt wet and dirty. There was hair in the shower and a toilet paper roll behind the toilet from prior visitors. Friends stayed in another room and when they went to use the toilet, discovered it was clogged. They notified the front desk, who then delivered a plunger for the guest to resolve the issue themselves. Great location, but certainly not worth the money. We won't be back!
BED'S WERE GOOD BREAKFAST WAS GOOD STAYED FOR 4 NIGHTS ROOM WAS CLEAN ON TIME
AC DID NOT BLOW HARD ENOUGH ON COLD BATH ROOM WAS SMALL BUT OK
pool and spa was nice
breakfast small and not enough food available. only one waffle machine for whole hotel and food ran out an no one replaced quick enough
the pool the breakfast and the hot tub
the price and the fact room service never changed our sheets and we were their for a week . and the fact that I found a bug in my bed in room 119 the bed next to the bathroom.
Everything was pretty standard for a hotel. Breakfast ok, pool ok, etc. The only thing that really stood out as above average were the staff, who were extremely friendly and helpful.
If you want to take a dip in the Jacuzzi in the morning, it may not be hot yet.
I appreciated the very friendly, helpful staff. They were great about letting us have our dog there. Nice (free) breakfast - didn't expect the waffle maker! Location was great - right in between I-95 and Rte 1.
Rooms could be updated, and a little cleaner (stains in the bathtub) but I've seen worse. Not too many amenities, but we always bring our own soaps and shampoos... and you cant beat the price (especially when it incudes breakfast!)
Had clean rooms and great inside pool area
Well complimentary food was missing hot eggs and sausages. Mostly all other places have it.
Ac didn't work very well
Rooms not very clean. Carpet was not vacuumed one day. Outside of tub had same spots on it from the day we checked in. Looked like coffee. When we left to go somewhere there woul be another guest sitting outside the exit door smoking.
The hotel was close to the highway, but the room was very quiet. The location was accessible and made it easy to get out to explore, north and south. Because it was off the main tourist track, there was very little traffic or congestion.
Breakfast area was crowded, but the coffee was good.
Good location from which to explore seacoast and Portsmouth, withou paying downtown prices. Free breakfast is standard, but a good start to the day.
Four years ago we stayed in one of their lovely suites. This time we booked a regular room and it was sub-par in comparison. Older carpetsm dim lighting, tiny bathroom and musty smell. We will not return here unless we can afford a suite.
Easy access on and off highway Lovely morning meal
Location, beds, available breakfast, reasonable rates.
It smelled like wet dog in the lobby and there was actually someone in the pool area allowing the small dog to swim in the pool.
