Location, reception staff very helpful, housekeeping very polite & thorough.
restaurant staff- was told restaurant was full, to return in 25 minutes for a table. Returned after 20 minutes, was informed kitchen was closing! Un professional and shoddy treatment of clients, waste of time waiting for a table when could have made alternative arrangements. Staff un concerned with inconvenience caused. Avoid avoid avoid Restaurant.
Comfy beds, clean room, large shower. Stayed in a king deluxe room. Staff was helpful. Hotel was quiet at night. We walked everywhere, Central Park, Broadway and did not think it was to far of a walk.
Had breakfasts one day at hotel resturaunt was just ok, and overpriced. Venture out for your dinning.

Comfortable rooms, nice check-in staff.
Expensive this trip vs. alternatives. Will likely try somewhere different next trip just for this reason.
Price Staff was outstanding Very clean
Myself and my husband stayed at the andaz on fifth ave from 26th to the 30th of November,we found the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a nice size, great layout and very comfortable.I would recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay here on our next vist to New York.
It is very difficult to find any fault with this hotel, the only issue I had was we found the indining menu every limited and ate out because of it.
Spacious room with high ceilings, large comfortable bed, complimentary soft drinks from mini bar together with snacks, walk in shower with quality soaps. Friendly staff and relaxing reception area.
i got a free update of the room. the room was on the opposite side of the public library, which makes a perfect view. the location is very good, walkable distance to time square, and other shopping places. room is very big, and clean. very good wifi

Doormen could be a little bit more friendly
Concierge went extra miles to find a doctor for our sick son.
Door person didn't care to open door for us even she saw us coming in with lots of bags in hand.
This was our second stay at this wonderful hotel, and once again it exceeded our expectations on every level. In advance of our arrival the concierge Elaine Spezio was amazingly helpful, helping with our upgrade, booking our transportation from the airport and booking a restaurant for 8 people for Saturday evening dinner. The purpose of our trip was to visit our daughter who is a student at NYU, and on arrival at the Andaz we found that the reception staff had colluded with her to surprise us by being there to welcome us--dressed as the Queen! Some hotels might have been sniffy about this but they got into the spirit of the thing. Rooms here are nothing short of fabulous; sleek and modern and with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows so you get a lovely feeling of airy spaciousness. The shower has a myriad settings and outlets, even a footbath, which is a joy when you've been pounding the streets of Manhattan. Sumptuously comfy bed too. Great room service, everyone who works here bends over backwards to be of service; our chambermaid waylaid us to express concern that she had found a single earring in our room! Free coffee in the lounge, and free wi-fi everywhere. The location is unsurpassable, on 5th Avenue bang opposite the Library, everything easily accessible. Fab.
The lighting in the bedroom is limited, so reading can be difficult, although in the sitting room it's bright.
Friendly front desk staff, easy checkin, comfortable rooms, nice gym, free WiFi, upgraded on arrival. Definitely a great, independent-like experience for a Hyatt hotel.
A bit expensive when I stayed vs. value but a great hotel.
Friendliness of the staff Location Room
Would be great to have a kettle in the room. In hind site could have used the microwave! Tea bags!
Great Location, comfort room, simple lobby reception and services, good price.
Wonderful hotel with a very big room and a lot of complementary services. One of the best views of NYC, right on the public library!
The staff is amazing, the location is perfect, the room is spacious and comfortable
Great location, nice design.
For a high-end hotel, the staff service is not so good compared to other hotels of the same class.
Location, high ceiling room, excellent staff, complimentary mini bar n wine hour, comfort bedding, and foot bathtub
Complimentary wines at night, soft drinks. Staff helped on everything from dinner reservations to hailing taxi
fantastic location, beautiful and spacious room; ultra-mega-friendly staff; minibar with free nonalcoholic beverages; free drinks and wine-hour at lounge are also a very nice touch
quite expensive - however worth its price; also some window drapes would be nice as NY by night is just too bright
The staff. The terrace.
Location was perfect. Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and modern. Especially loved the rain shower! So nice to have free snacks and beverages in the room. And complimentary coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. Paid a little more for the library view, totally worth it. Will absolutely stay here again.
The price is a bit steep but it is NYC...
I have stayed in many hotels around the world. My experience with hotels in Manhattan was somewhat disappointing - until my last visit. Andaz was excellent, in every aspects. I'll certainly be back.
