The entire experience was fabulous but the crowning touch was the attentive and helpful staff! Every need was either anticipated or met with gracious charm.

Had no hot water. Staff did their best to make up for it though...
When we arrived, they gave us a room which was not the one I've booked. We were traveling with our 11 y.o kid, so I booked the big room King's loft. I was so disappointed by the fact, that they kept telling me this was the one. After they gave me a real king's loft and even didn't apologize for wasting my time trying to tell me that I don't really know , how 50 m2 looks, compare with 27m2.
I loved my stay! Room on 9th floor so quiet, wonderful view of 5th Ave and the Empire State Building. All employees treated me with the highest respect and courtesy! I've already given my rave review to several family members and friends. Thank-you, Andaz 5th Ave!
For me a tall person, the furniture was too low to the floor.
Loved the concept of the hotel. Loved the Bar, brunch in the Shop was great too. Wine time was a lovely added extra. Bathroom was phenomenal. Bedroom size great. And the bed was super comfy,
I felt like I was being an inconvenience asking for coffee as there was none available in the room and it wasn't clear if I could call and have this brought up to the room.
Great design of the room Spacy Bathroom Free soft drinks and snacks in the minibar-free coffee in the lobby Quit location in the middle of Manhattan
The room was really beautiful and always cleaned perfectly. The linens were constantly turned down for us and the housekeeping staff left nice notes everyday.
There was a very strange odor in the elevators everyday.. Almost like they were cleaned with dirty water, and the shower had a slightly strange odor after showers... But it was very easy to look over bc the hotel was really wonderful!
although we alteady spent some days at the Andaz in April, nobody recognized that circumstance
Quality and decor

Location, reception staff very helpful, housekeeping very polite & thorough.
restaurant staff- was told restaurant was full, to return in 25 minutes for a table. Returned after 20 minutes, was informed kitchen was closing! Un professional and shoddy treatment of clients, waste of time waiting for a table when could have made alternative arrangements. Staff un concerned with inconvenience caused. Avoid avoid avoid Restaurant.
Comfy beds, clean room, large shower. Stayed in a king deluxe room. Staff was helpful. Hotel was quiet at night. We walked everywhere, Central Park, Broadway and did not think it was to far of a walk.
Had breakfasts one day at hotel resturaunt was just ok, and overpriced. Venture out for your dinning.

Comfortable rooms, nice check-in staff.
Expensive this trip vs. alternatives. Will likely try somewhere different next trip just for this reason.
Price Staff was outstanding Very clean
Myself and my husband stayed at the andaz on fifth ave from 26th to the 30th of November,we found the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a nice size, great layout and very comfortable.I would recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay here on our next vist to New York.
It is very difficult to find any fault with this hotel, the only issue I had was we found the indining menu every limited and ate out because of it.
Spacious room with high ceilings, large comfortable bed, complimentary soft drinks from mini bar together with snacks, walk in shower with quality soaps. Friendly staff and relaxing reception area.
i got a free update of the room. the room was on the opposite side of the public library, which makes a perfect view. the location is very good, walkable distance to time square, and other shopping places. room is very big, and clean. very good wifi

Doormen could be a little bit more friendly
Concierge went extra miles to find a doctor for our sick son.
Door person didn't care to open door for us even she saw us coming in with lots of bags in hand.
This was our second stay at this wonderful hotel, and once again it exceeded our expectations on every level. In advance of our arrival the concierge Elaine Spezio was amazingly helpful, helping with our upgrade, booking our transportation from the airport and booking a restaurant for 8 people for Saturday evening dinner. The purpose of our trip was to visit our daughter who is a student at NYU, and on arrival at the Andaz we found that the reception staff had colluded with her to surprise us by being there to welcome us--dressed as the Queen! Some hotels might have been sniffy about this but they got into the spirit of the thing. Rooms here are nothing short of fabulous; sleek and modern and with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows so you get a lovely feeling of airy spaciousness. The shower has a myriad settings and outlets, even a footbath, which is a joy when you've been pounding the streets of Manhattan. Sumptuously comfy bed too. Great room service, everyone who works here bends over backwards to be of service; our chambermaid waylaid us to express concern that she had found a single earring in our room! Free coffee in the lounge, and free wi-fi everywhere. The location is unsurpassable, on 5th Avenue bang opposite the Library, everything easily accessible. Fab.
The lighting in the bedroom is limited, so reading can be difficult, although in the sitting room it's bright.
