Didn't like the fact that there's no discount for military, not even a small one. And parking should be free.
Mostly, we enjoyed the proximity to the very historic monument of George Washington at the site of his oath of office as the first president. Also, the beautiful architecture in the area, the New York Stock Exchange building, snapping a quick photo by the bull, and the hotel's location to the Staten Island ferry, and ferry to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Good facilities, room snacks and nice radio for iPod. Awesome shower too.
Very pricey on an international level. But new-york is known for its steep prices. the room service meanls were heavy pricey and all together disappointing.
Staff was helpful. Room was specious and quiet. the hotel motto seems to be keeping the guest happy...free coffee/tea and cookies. Happy hour in the early eve.
The bath is not completely full length
For the financial district this is a great location. Consider the area as well for Tribeca, the Village etc. Predominantly a business hotel, but that means good facilities, excellent service and nice touches such as free coffee/tea in the lounge area and free minibar. The room we had was very spacious for NY and the bath and separate shower were brand new. Recommended
I was disappointed that they did not honor my guarnteed king bed room, and I had to purchase an upgraded room--even though because they wouldn't honor booking.com's room guarantee or upgrade me to another room complimentary. The room had a coffee maker, but no cups or spoons; a dishwasher but no dishes or utensils; snacks, but no napkins.....
Great location, fun lobby, easy check in and out.
poor quality pillows one glass in room
all included, location and staff
My boyfriend and I like to get away for the weekend and we've stayed at plenty if hotels in nyc. This hotel blew us away with the amazing amenities and modern style. This is our favorite and we will definitely be returning.
facilities only fair
Bed was a little tough. I'm a side sleeper and the bed was too firm for my shoulder. Other than that, everything was great!
Great staff, love the complimentary mini bar, the lobby had little drinks and snacks in case you're in a rush. Very happy with the level of thought and detail they put into it! Beautiful and functional rooms!
We had ordered a King room, but were instead given a double room with two double beds. The comforters were pretty small, so any time my partner moved I would be exposed to the air and vice versa.
The rooms were very nice, very clean and elegant. Staff was excellent and provided us a late check-out when requested.
No 24 hour room service; the next morning the lobby was covered with checked luggage, sitting in front of the elevators and reception desk - all unsecured areas!
There was a slight delay checking in, however I received a nice upgrade to a corner suite. The room was fantastic, spacious, and the bathroom was beautiful.
Would like a better bar/lounge. Felt kind of sterile.
Loose handle on inside of bathroom sliding door. One vanity light and scales did not work. We could have had this fixed, but it should have been picked up before room was occupied.
Breakfast. Food was superb and staff excellent. They were very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to see us. Reception staff friendly and helpful too.
Everything about the hotel and rooms are in line with all my preferences and living style. Its a home away from home.
My only complaint is that the room was too hot at night, eventhough I adjusted the thermostat into the 60's, I couldn't get it cool enough for comfortable sleeping.
The location, the attractive design of the room, the spaciousness of the room, and the treats!
The menu displayed on TV wasn't updated, the radio channels weren't working, we ordered a fresh orange juice in our room and we got a normal packed fruit juice poured in 2 glasses.
Comfortable bed, very spacious room
I found the laminate floor surface a little cheap for the level of hotel. Parking is next door through a separate company (not atypical for New York City). Parking company can be congested at times.
Sizable room with modern, minimalistic design. Overall very comfortable. Would not hesitate to return if I needed to be near the southern tip of Manhattan. Service was impeccable - knowledgable and very eager to please. Discounted overnight parking at $34/night is quite reasonable for the area.
The only thing I did not like was the dim, "moody" lighting in the room--especially in the bathroom. I like the ability to have bright light in a room, and since the hotel is in the Wall Street canyon with little natural light due to the surrounding buildings, the room was gloomy and it was not possible to get the light bright enough to , for example, read the room service menu without walking over to the bedside table light and putting the menu directly under it.
The friendliness of the staff, especially Alba, who checked me in. The free mini bar and Nespresso in the lobby--very welcoming touches. The spaciousness of the room
the staff didn't come to clean or refil the mini bar the restaurant was horrible it was "B" rated also by the food inspector No doorman no one to hail taxis
the room was amazing bathroom was great nice and spacious interior of the building was nice and modern free wine!
That they messed up my reservation and I didn't get the room I wanted
I was supposed to get a suite but they messed up my reservation and gave me a large king room. They also charged my card $493 when my orginal room was only $343. They gave a free breakfast to make up for their mess up, the light in my bathroom kept flickering the entire time I did my makeup and the movie selection sucked. This hotel is good for saving money but that's it
Mattress can be firmer.
Check-in experience exceeds other elite hotels around the world. Arived early to store our bags, manager Maria & Adam took the trouble for early check-in so we freshen up from dreadful hotel previous nite. Excellent customer service!
restaurant not open on sunday during the day.
Upgrade, good service, modern style rooms with great look.
i had a issue with the heating system in the room that maintenance, had to be called twice back to the room before they replaced a bad motor in the air vent.
the room was just like it was on line, a beautiful place to stay the whole set up was gorgeous two thumbs up!
Great luxury room! Awesome bath tub and loved the black out curtains!
House keeping did not really clean. Left empty shampoo bottles and tub still felt soapy. Room service menu did not have many veg options.
Hospitality Room space Mini-bar Chef was flexible enough to make me a custom veg sandwich.
