The location is perfect to access the business center of San Francisco. The staff is very kind and all the facilities are clean.
The quality of the wifi might be improved, at least in my bedroom. My connection was frequently disconnected. However, it could be enough to consult a web page or check the e-mail.
location is awesome. staff is super-friendly. very comfortable bed. There is nothing really we didn't like about this place. Definitely will be staying here next time.
helpful staff, airport shuttle, close to union square
small room, cramped old elevator.
clean location price breakfast
There was no safe locker in the room for valuables.
the bed was awesome, the proximity to where we were going and what we wanted to see was perfect, the staff was so friendly and accommodating, the decor was very charming, and we really enjoyed ourselves
The continental breakfast was a little lacking, the parking was $44 a day, the room was a tad warm, but it was warm outside for February.
Kind staff. Best Location.
Noisy radiator. Little bit cold in January.
The staff is excellent and always ready to help
The mattress is a bit soft for me
Helpfull staff, Breakfast just outside the room, good value for money
Loved experiencing San Francisco from a centralized historical hotel. Even with my bad foot we didn't miss out on anything with the close accessibility of the public transit.
Smallest bathroom ever, but it's simply the way the old hotels were made so we're really not complaining, but it really was the smallest bathroom ever--even in our room on the train!
Great location. Staff very helpful
Rooms a little small but that was not really an issue
Great staff, great location, clean and restaurant food was outstanding
The bathroom was tiny.
Courtesy of the staff particularly Ms Mary.
Complimentary wine and proximity to Union Square.
The sink and size of TV.
Hotel staff was great, close to shopping and walking distance to the waterfront. Good value compared with other Hotels nearby.
Room noise from cars going down the street was loud. Other than that nice place.
Super friendly and helpful staff
Room wifi was terrible so I had to leave to work.
everthing, location, stuff, breakfast and cleaning
the room really small and it has tiny bath I mean really tiny one 3feet by 3feet.
Front Desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well-located to Union Square and transportation. Queen room was totally satisfactory, didn't expect it to be large. Previously I had stayed in a larger room on the front of the hotel which was very nice. Chose queen based on price this time. Fino, off the hotel lobby, is an excellent Italian restaurant and the happy hour wine is very good.
Friendly staff and good location
This hotel is in an excellent location and is certainly great value for money. The complimentary glass of wine provided to guests each evening is a lovely touch and having breakfast included in the room rate was much appreciated. The staff were all very friendly and helpful making our stay all the more enjoyable.
The bathroom was very small but it is an old building so you do expect this.
the room and the hotel were really cute and very clean; great position, in a safe street very close to Union Square
The breakfast was poor; the bathroom was tiny; the had not very good windows and we were annoyed by a little noise from the street
Nice Staff, always there to help! Wine hour Nice enviroment Good location
The bedroom is sooooo small... The bethroom is soooo small is hard to take a shower or do whatever we have to do inside this small bethroom.
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It was clean, breakfast was good and every morning made ready by the room door. Staff caring and helpful. Overall highly recommended!
They welcomed us with champagne in the room for our honeymoon, plus there is a wine happy hour every day in the lobby. Continental breakfast is served on every floor every morning, and I've never had better free coffee - actually I liked it better than Starbucks. The morning muffin was equally addictive, I missed it at every other hotel I visited on this trip! The location is superb. We walked 5-10 miles every day in SF to and from the hotel, and it was smack in the middle of everything we might want to see. Close to public transportation, too, in addition to a $15/person airport share ride every half hour. It was an excellent stay, we will return.
Have been using and recommending the Andrews for 7 years as good value, great location, quaint, pleasant facility. No more. Staff no longer proactively concerned if issue arises; as if management has given up in providing good experience
No hot water; 7 hrs after reporting it there had been no action. Had to move to another room. No apparent concern for inconvenience. Staff seems unconcerned about making things right.
-Located near Union Square and also close to muni and bart stations. -Nice and very helpful staff -for one person there was sufficient space in the room -I stayed there 10 days and had no problems, considering SF prices it was probably the best hotel option available
-Poor "grab and go" Breakfast (just some fruits and pastries, coffee and juice), but I think it is common in the USA -Dark room: even when the sun was shining outside and the curtains off, I had to turn on the lights, because there was another building right in front of my window that blocked all the sunlight. -Notwithstanding the good location, it is also close to Tenderloin and therefore unaware people might walk through this more dangerous area. -Bathroom is awkwardly designed
