This lodge is located on an authentic old west working cattle ranch. Cottages, furnished with a western flair, feature a kitchenette. Yellowstone National Park is 25 miles away.
Score from 111 reviews Superb
Locaton and dining facility. Friendly staff.
Probabably a bit expensive for those who don't avail of the fishing.
Furnishings were rustic, which I liked but refrigerator either didn't 't work or wasn't turned on. Didn't realize it until the next morning when everything we had in it was warm.
Wish the restaurant did pizza! We had to drive 5 miles up the road to get takeout pizza. Breakfast at the lodge was very nice, but a little pricey!
the view, nice room
hard to find staff
The location was great...my grandson loved the river and the pelicans outside the door.
It seemed a little bit understaffed.
The room was clean and had amazing views of the Henry's Fork River. Staff was friendly - this is a mom-and--pop kind of place. Has a beautiful lobby.
Facility was way overpriced. Wifi service very poor. Bed was very soft.
After a long day in Yellowstone this was a quiet reprieve. Great trout and salmon dinner.
The staff is the benefit of staying here along with the having the river out the front door. The staff was great both at the front desk and the restaurant.......excellent food!!!
Being on the Henry's Fork river was great. The food and ambiance was good at their restaurant. They installed fire alarms (I think) and last year we suffered through a fire in the laundry room on our last night.
If you want to fish while on the road and spend a fortune on the lodging, it is the place for you. For about 250 usd a night the breakfast had to be paid separately. However, the cooked breakfast was great and we also appreciated that they made us wonderful bison and angus burgers even at the time of closing the restaurant.
The Lodge was about one hour drive away from Yellowstone west entrance. The furniture was quite odd, but ok for a fishing lodge. Matresses need to be changed. Highly overpriced compared to its location (road-side, distance from Yellowstone np, creek-side motel with plenty of mosquitos) and quality. This is definitely not the "you get what you pay for" case. But you have to pay the price of a city hotel in a road- side motel if you do not make reservations in time :)
The view of the water and mountains and the convenience of having a restaurant on site since there is no other food within 20 minutes.
The beds are old and miserably uncomfortable, we woke up feeling crippled. The decor is old and dingy which made it feel dirty, not to mention the old and dirty smell. The room was mostly clean but they need to do a deep cleaning more frequently because the doors, ceiling, corners, and closet area were covered in cobwebs. Also it appears there may have been a water leak at some time under the sink because there is mold on the wall around the pipe. We had an amazing vacation and stayed at three different locations but needless to say we cut our vacation short because we couldn't stay here another night. The room was $249 which they can charge because there is not much competition but it is very overpriced and not to mention we had to pay more to check out early but it was better than waking up crippled again in a stinky room.
They went out of their way to make sure that we were cared for -- including an amazing upgrade. We recommend them very highly!!
The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Restaurant was excellent. Scenery and outdoor decking was incredible.
Low water pressure, the bed was about 5 feet off the ground, which was awkward. There was a jacuzzi tub in the room, right next to the bed, which was odd, and too loud to use.
besides the lake beautiful view
a bit far from Yellow stone. No good restaurant nearby
Great view of river, good restaurant attached, very quiet, staff offered to help at every turn - very attentive
Minimal cable selection
Good dining in the restaurant 30 min from Yellowstone West Entrance. Beautiful view from the room to the river.
Location is great and common areas top notch
Dirty window, cracked sink, ran down hot tub, and expensive for off season and no meals on premises.
