- House gets very cold if you don't have all heaters & fireplace on full - Shower is hard to get to a perfect temperature - Decor is very dated - Front room gets very cold - you have to have the heater on all night which can be noisy
- If you're staying for a while there is large washing machine & dryer - There is a dishwasher - Fireplace is nice in Winter (but needed because house gets cold)
Great location: few steps to Washington mall, in the middle of historic Victorian homes, close to grocery store and church.
Parking is limited to 3 cars for the 5 apartments . There is parking across the street (not metered).
The location is great, 2 blocks from the Washington St. Mall and 4 blocks to the beach. Deanna (Antoinettes granddaughter) is a perfect hostess. She has everything you need in the apartments: washer/dryer, beach chairs, fully equipped kitchen, TV and dvd players in every bedroom, a claw foot bathtub, airconditioning, outdoor space for the smokers and rocking chairs on the Victorian porch to watch the world go by. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. We love it there and will return.
Finding parking was challenging. Only a few public parking spaces across the street that was not metered. We had to move our car several times.
Very close to beach, shopping, and resturants.
No parking space...
Supplied beach chairs and carts...access to a grill....close to shops.
Antionettes is an older house so there was sometimes a smell of damp/mustiness. I'd still go back though.
The suite had a large living room with 2 bedrooms. 1 bedroom had a queen bed, the other room had 1 queen and 2 twins. 1.5 baths and an outside shower. Well stocked kitchen. Patio area. Off road parking. Beach passes provided. Loads of bicycles and beach carts for guests to use.
We had only one shower. But two toilets, but that was ok.
We were very close to everything. The owner had everything you needed for the beach. Beach cart, umbrellas and chairs. Even bicycles. She even had the beach membership, so we didn't need to pay for the day we stayed at her place. The owner was very nice and helpful.
very clean, had everything we needed; bedding, towels, everything you need to cook with, tv in every room ,even had videos and lots of board games to play.I definitely would recommend it.
It was a little too hot for our liking. We We weren't able to control the thermostat ourselves.
The location was ideal. It was very clean and comfortable. Deanna was ver friendly.
Deanna was a great host. Great location. Having a little kitchen was nice.
bathrooms and kitchen could be modernised
it was very cosy
The only thing I didn't like about our weekend was the weather. It rained a good portion of the weekend and we weren't able to go bike riding which was disappointing.
We had a great time at Antoinette's. Everything in walking distance which was very nice.
The innkeeper Deanna was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was large and comfortable. We loved the front porch with the rockers. We would definitely stay there again.
We really liked all of the space we had and the gas fireplace.
So much! (1) The place smelled of mildew; we had to run fans the whole time to keep it tolerable. (2) It hadn't been dusted in who knows how long. (3) We were told there was a queen sized bed; there were 4 beds, two singles, two doubles, no queen. (4) Three of the beds were in the front room, and they were creaky and squishy. The only decent bed for adult weight was in a tiny side room, so narrow you had to walk sideways to get to the head of the bed... and watch out for the radiator near the foot. (5) The door to the side bedroom wouldn't shut. (6) The bathroom was under stairs and to get in you had to duck to avoid hitting your head (which I did in a middle of the night trip to use it). (7) The whole place was dark like a cave; no natural light came in. (8) You could hear anyone else coming and going upstairs. (9) The refrigerator was falling apart, and the kitchen table was covered in a plastic sheet. (10) The water barely came out of the bathroom taps... that's enough.
It was close to downtown and fairly close to a lovely beach. The staff also offered us use of bikes, scooters, helmets, and other toys.
We like eveything. We like the location. The place was very clean. We liked that she had eveything there for us. Beach chairs unbrellas bikes grills. Love the porch with the rockers
I wish it was pet-friendly.
