Apartment near subway entrance and Central Park.
Apartment suitable for 4 people, not x 5. The sofa bed, how old it is, it would have to be replaced, and mattress almost non-existent.. Cleaning lacking. Apartment on the 3rd floor and no elevator, not mentioned above.
Maybe just location, which was just okay, but comparing to all other factor, it seems so nice now
1) They do not tell you where exactly your apt is until a week before your check in, leave you no time to plan your trip accordingly, especially we are travel internationally 2) when check in, they have probably 2 hour check in time window, after that, you're getting charged for "late check in fee", never ever heard of 3) upon check in, they ONLY ACCEPT CASH, which is ridiculous already but okay. But, what's beyond you can imagine, is that they DO NOT HAVE CHANGE! They still owe me $28 dollar, never return back to me. 4) when we see the room, it was not as described as the website (for example, the website posted 2 bedroom with queen bed in each bedroom, we have 1 queen bed and 1 full bed). 5) Poorly functioned kitchen. Kitchen stove and coffee maker doesn't work at all after checking plugs and power. Tried to contact mgmt office, TERRIBLE ATTITUDE and NO HELP AT ALL. We are being directed to a "super" who doesn't live in our building, has no phone access, and only work 1 hour on weekday. Basically, good luck to us 6) MOST IMPORTANT, as many apt building in NYC, they are old and tiny, but this one has cause a FIRE during our stay!! We were outside one day, and when we come back, there are police officers in apt, totally almost gave me heart attack! And we found out, the old wire behind the wall has cause the microwave to catch the sparkle, which led to FIRE in apt. Thank god nobody was hurt, but it deeply threaten our safety staying here!! If it wasn't because we are leaving next morning, I'd ask for change of apt 7) After the fire, we try to compliance to the mgmt office, again, NO HELP AT ALL. They even tried to accuse WE are the one caused the fire! Of course, we REMOTELY set your apt on fire! I'm fully regret I didn't insist on the policy report being hand over to me, instead of the mgmt, when the police was here.
