Score from 510 reviews Very good
window coverings were poor at best. Inexpensive cheap plastic horizontal blinds that were partially cracked I would not close tightly.easy to see in the room from the outside, and did nothing to block the Sun in the morning. Hung a blanket over the window and all was well.
When trying to print boarding passes for trip home I was told I would have to go elsewhere as customers had no access to a computer. That was the first time in over 10 year I was told I would have to "go elsewhere". Continental breakfast was extremely limited on certain days.
We liked having the separate rooms but still in the same living area. The location was very convenient for us on this trip. Very friendly and helpful staff.
7:30 was a bit late to start breakfast. Caused a crowd in a small area. Need to have diabetic choices for breakfast as well as fruit to take care of all guests.
Pleasant & well informed desk staff. A very comfortable room, including the bed. GREAT views from the balcony. Close to down town & attractions. It was wonderful seeing the elk in town. There were plenty of breads/rolls & drinks to choose from in the breakfast area.
It would have been nice to have some hot eggs & bacon &/or sausage.
fireplace, dining area, full-size kitchen appliances, large bathroom
Very clean and comfortable. Really liked the double doors that opened to a mountain view. Great fire place too!
Very helpful and pleasant staff. Very clean and modern room
The room is so spacious and comfortable. I love being able to open the windows and have a cross breeze. Restaurant was wonderful, the wine pairing suggested by the Manager was EXCELLENT
We felt we had everything we needed in our small, compact and comfortable room. ALL was very clean, especially the bedding and many bed pillows. Would definitely make another reservation when we go back for another getaway.
Breakfast bar did not have enough healthy options (bananas) and too much of sugars and starches.
Close to down town Estes Park. Manager was very understanding and tried her best to get us another room, but ended up leaving Estes Park day earlier than planned and found a really nice place in Golden to stay. We had a great time in Golden, stayed at the Table Mountain Inn and it was excellent.
Nice people, but requested mountain view from deck when booking and ended up with a view of busy highway next to deck and bedroom window. Breakfast was nothing at all, basically in a room the size of a small hotel room.
I thought it looked cute and liked the extras like the fire pit picnic area and snacks. The pool was nice and the room was very clean
Love everything about the hotel. Really nice staff, clean room and perfect location!!
Wish wifi was little faster.. =(
Beautiful grounds, room was very clean, comfortable and accommodating. Recommend it to anyone for a nice place to stay at Estes park!
Great staff, great location, very clean and super comfy bed and pillows! Everything was awesome!
This hotel is very clean and gives the relaxed feeling of being a resort. The view is beautiful, the kitchen very well planned for size and the bed is comfy and cozy. Wish I could return soon.
We thought the breakfast was not inspiring.
location was good and the resturant was very good. Bed was comfortable but noisy A/C.
needs updating. kitchenette is marginal at best. noisy A/C. breakfast is pretty bad. I know it is a new ownership so maybe those will be improved.
start breakfast earlier
If you're looking for a switch from the typical hotel accommodations, I'd highly recommend the Appenzell Inn. - Cozy, intimate King suite - Fireplace - Large jacuzzi - Great value for $$ - Overall feel. We could tell right away we were not staying at your typical accommodations.
- Location: right along Hotel Alley in Estes - The complimentary breakfast left something to be desired (no hot breakfast options - not even waffles)
The room (king suite) was cozy and had a wonderful two person tub. The fireplace was great, and the views of the mountains were fantastic.
The bed was not very comfortable, and the breakfast was mediocre at best.
The hotel was quaint, clean, and quiet.
Watching tv and being comfortable while sitting on the couch was nearly impossible. Both people who sat on the loveseat ended up in the middle - the cushions were in the unnatural shape of a "V" - very uncomfortable. The on-site restaurant was only open for dinner...a major inconvenience.
comfortable bed with nice linens updated bathroom staff was wonderful convenient location
air conditioning and or fan was noisy we ate at the restaurant, my salad and dessert were very good, my husbands brat was served cold instead of hot.
- Clean room. Room has a classical Alpine lodge appearance, but all renovated and very well maintained. - Table in the terrace is very nice, enjoyed BBQ in front of our room. - Restaurant in the annex is very good.
- Wish for a stove top in the kitchen. - We stayed in 2nd floor, we heard someone (children) stomping on the upper floor, especially at bathroom area. - We did not appreciate the continental breakfast. Breads were not good. Pastries too sugary. Coffee was not good.
Great place to stay! Very affordable.. whirlpool tub and fireplace in room. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable of the area. We will definitely be coming back.
The location was quiet but close enough to downtown to be very convenient. The room and surroundings were so very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the outdoor patio and used it several times. A quiet spot to have coffee and enjoy the views. We would definetly come back again.
The only thing was that our room was down in the back without a mountain view. But we took full advantage of the quietness there and did use the outside patio a lot.
