Room was really nice.
Internet is pretty slow compared to the latest technology out there.
I love the staff at Appezell, from the receptionist to housekeepers. All of the staff at Appenzell's were kind, considerate and helpful and the view from my room was amazing-can't get that in Chicago. I can't wait to visit Colorado again and you can be sure I will stay at the Appenzell Inn. Thank you for making my first visit so wonderful. Jo Anna
What's not to like?
The room was spacious and the kitchen was well stocked. The King bed was very comfortable. The veranda would have been great if the wind had ever died down.
The breakfast area was far too small for the capacity of this hotel. The breakfast was pretty good once we found there was lots more to choose from in the refrigerator. The restaurant and pub were closed - with the Elk festival going on it would have been so nice to be able to just eat at the Pub and not have to shuffle through the crowds downtown. No notification that the pub is only open in the summer!
Quite with covered parking.
That the restaurant was closed for the season.
Very cozy. Staff was great. Breakfast was very good, they even had take along things. Fruit, granola bars etc. Great for hikers. Liked the mountain décor. Helpful suggestions for dinner. Had a great dinner at Mama Rose's.
It snowed 3 feet in the mountains & the pass was closed. Don't suppose they had any control over that.
Nice property with great staff!!
The location is close to Estes Park downtown activities. The room was furnished fine with a comfortable bed. All plumbing, electrical and appliances worked fine. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We were in a downstairs room and the upstairs noise radiated through the ceiling causing our sleep to be disturbed till early morning hours. You can hear every step taken in upper level.
window coverings were poor at best. Inexpensive cheap plastic horizontal blinds that were partially cracked I would not close tightly.easy to see in the room from the outside, and did nothing to block the Sun in the morning. Hung a blanket over the window and all was well.
When trying to print boarding passes for trip home I was told I would have to go elsewhere as customers had no access to a computer. That was the first time in over 10 year I was told I would have to "go elsewhere". Continental breakfast was extremely limited on certain days.
Room spacious and clean. Staff extra friendly and helpful. Kitchen barely used, but seemed to have everything a visitor could want. Gas fireplace unexpected touch. First time to find a laminated chart of tv channels. Nice.
Fresh fruit always gone by the time we ate breakfast (9:00-9:30) Maybe one banana left, but I don't like bananas. Otherwise, breakfast had more choices than I usually find..
We liked having the separate rooms but still in the same living area. The location was very convenient for us on this trip. Very friendly and helpful staff.
7:30 was a bit late to start breakfast. Caused a crowd in a small area. Need to have diabetic choices for breakfast as well as fruit to take care of all guests.
Pleasant & well informed desk staff. A very comfortable room, including the bed. GREAT views from the balcony. Close to down town & attractions. It was wonderful seeing the elk in town. There were plenty of breads/rolls & drinks to choose from in the breakfast area.
It would have been nice to have some hot eggs & bacon &/or sausage.
fireplace, dining area, full-size kitchen appliances, large bathroom
Great Mountain views on the upper level facing west.
Parking was a little tight but we were okay. Prices in the restaurant were high so we went elsewhere.
Comfy bed, nice fireplace. The Inn is well maintained. Good location but close to the highway so it was a bit noisy.
The window only had mini blinds which do virtually nothing to block out the light. Fortunately we found a blanket in the closet and hung it over the window. The downside of that though was that it also blocked out the air from the open windows. Also the jacuzzi bathtub sounded like it was on it's last legs. The motor was so loud we were afraid to use it. The included continental breakfast was lacking. In a nice "Swiss" style inn, I would have expected higher quality pastries or breads, perhaps some cheese in the manner of European true continental breakfast- not the heel of packaged raisin bread, Pop Tarts and store bought, mass produced pastries. There was no fruit and the kiddie juice boxes of apple juice and fruit punch...well you get the idea.
Very clean and comfortable. Really liked the double doors that opened to a mountain view. Great fire place too!
Room was clean, nice location.
Room was tiny and noisy, restauraunt and pub was closed.
The property was clean and well kept with flowers everywhere. We enjoyed the Elk stolling by us only a few feet away. We booked a room to small for us, but they were very happy to up grade us in a nice room with beautiful views of the mountains. We enjoyed it.
The bed was a little too hard for our taste, but other than that we enjoyed the stay.
Very helpful and pleasant staff. Very clean and modern room
The room is so spacious and comfortable. I love being able to open the windows and have a cross breeze. Restaurant was wonderful, the wine pairing suggested by the Manager was EXCELLENT
We felt we had everything we needed in our small, compact and comfortable room. ALL was very clean, especially the bedding and many bed pillows. Would definitely make another reservation when we go back for another getaway.
Breakfast bar did not have enough healthy options (bananas) and too much of sugars and starches.
The room was big with a nice bed, fireplace and a tub. The little kitchen was good, although we didn't really make use of it. The large balcony with a view of the mountains was an added bonus.
The location was a little far from town and we would rather have been closer to Rocky Mountain NatIonal Park. The restaurant was ok, unfortunately the chef quit right before we got there so the service was a little slow. The food was good and our waiter was very kind.
Close to down town Estes Park. Manager was very understanding and tried her best to get us another room, but ended up leaving Estes Park day earlier than planned and found a really nice place in Golden to stay. We had a great time in Golden, stayed at the Table Mountain Inn and it was excellent.
Nice people, but requested mountain view from deck when booking and ended up with a view of busy highway next to deck and bedroom window. Breakfast was nothing at all, basically in a room the size of a small hotel room.
I thought it looked cute and liked the extras like the fire pit picnic area and snacks. The pool was nice and the room was very clean
Love everything about the hotel. Really nice staff, clean room and perfect location!!
Wish wifi was little faster.. =(
