100% occupied ,the customer will be overcharged. Cure your depression with noisy room and only "NO"ANSWER and poker faces.
Great front desk . wonderful room 400, try it.
Staff very friendly, wonderful accomodations, fantastic location.
We stayed at this expensive hotel for 3 nights, out of which one was spent in Kauai. The hotel is fairly close to the airport. Transportation: No need to take any airport shuttle to get to the hotel. The cost for a taxi from the airport to the hotel is around $50 - not including luggage. The SpeediShuttle costs $60 while being shared with other passengers. Although renting a car is always an option, I would strongly recommend against doing so - the daily parking is around $25, plus car rental tends to be rather high (unless you have some kind of corporate discount - in which case the rate goes down rather steeply and makes renting worth your while, even in Hawaii). Include costs of gas, additional parking whenever you go to some other place and soon you are looking are real money. Taxis are plentiful and tend to be available at all the touristy spots. Dining: There are plenty of dining areas and watering holes near the hotel. Take your pick from Italian, Mexican, and local fare. Shopping: Although we never went shopping, we were led to believe that there is plenty of shopping also nearby. Attractions: The three attractions we visited were Pearl Harbor (separate review), Waikiki beach (beautiful beyond words to those who don't have beaches in their backyard - coming from New Jersey, the beach was ... meh ... compared to Miami and Myrtle beach and Cape May) and Diamond Head (separate review). Accommodations: Although the pictures accompanying this review are dark, rest assured that their so-called studio is actually a one-bedroom hotel. Coming from NJ, my definition of a studio is much more restrictive - a single room. Our unit had a sitting room with a queen-sized sofa-bed, a small glass top dining table with two chairs and another table with a couple of chairs. The balcony (or Lanai as Hawaiians tend to refer to them) was spacious with two chairs and a table and was accessible from the bedroom as well as the sitting room.
expensive parking, fair staff, not so great housekeeping
The room was a nice size with a queen size bed, a sofa, small dining table, kitchenette and bathroom with shower. We had a beautiful city/partial ocean view. I strongly recommend Aqua Pacific Monarch!
the kitchen was great ! easy for families that need flexibility in preparing meals for the kids.
the hdmi cable that connects DVD to the TV was broken but the maintenance didn't have any replacement when we needed.
Location in center of the city close to all facilities Very roomy with convenient balcony and view
Climate control is noisy and located only in the living room
The location was great, the roof top pool was excellent.
Parking was a bit expensive. The bed was small as we are both 6ft tall.
We were upgraded to a one bedroom from a studio. Very helpful during check . Comfortable bed .
Hurricane Ana was closing in on Hawaii so they closed the pool area for the whole weekend even though it was passing by. I could understand closing it at first but by Saturday there was no threat yet they did not open it.
Property is only 2 blocks from the beach, but charges premium beachfront prices. We had a partial ocean view on the top floor, which met expectations.
A major lack of air conditioning and ventilation in the room. A small window A/C unit blocked by the desk, and a pathetic ceiling fan in the "master" bedroom led to very hot and sticky nights. Parking garage extremely unpractical. One way up & down. Elevators were locked which did provide some security, but for check-in we had to walk 4 floors down - Not fun after a six hour flight and landing at 22:30. We ended up checking out early and changing to a different hotel.
Air conditioning not good enough for room size. Bedroom not cool enough.
Spacious rooms Close to beach Close to shops Nice rooftop pools Professional staff Free Baggage storage
300 yards from Waikiki beach. 31 floors available ...We stayed on the 19th in a 1 bedroom studio with Kitchen.definateky recommend higher floors ...tremendous view. The kitchen looked almost brand new ...With a pool on the roof ....no need to even leave the building. There is a nice Mexican pub 75 yards away ....and make sure you call into Sam Square Thai restaurant ....best in Oahu ...8 blocks or so away above an abc store
Nothing ....The weather ....It was too hot !!
Checked us into room early. Clean & comfortable. Hospitality room great for later flights.
Beautiful views from pool, but pool area needs a little sprucing up & at least a vending machine.
The layout of the room and the furniture.
Pool area was small but it's rooftop so no other buildings blocking the sun. Also, the room balcony was very narrow which kind of defeats the purpose of having a balcony.
Noise! We stayed at 32 floor, but the street noise kept me up all night. The small window next to the bed is not sound proofed, you just feel like sleep right at the street. The AC vent is also directly next to the bed, very load. We had to turn it off. Luckly, it was not a hot night. The location is good, but if one can not sleep, that would not be a good option. Sorry.
As per the ads, thought Ocean View meant full view facing the ocean. The room allocated appeared to be a room with partial view.
The set up in the rooms and the location to the beach is great.
It was very noisy at night. I had to sleep with air plugs.
Location to beach, transport & supermarket was excellent. Great security in building needing room key to access lifts, excellent for families. 24hr reception. In-room safe. 3 elevators. Comfortable rooms & furnishings. Upgraded at no cost & had baby crib complimentary. Would definitely stay again!!!!
Room a little noisy with road traffic & wind (11th floor) but nothing you can do about that! Stronger fan in bedroom would be great too.
Great place to stay location, service and clearness wise. Would stay again thanks.
Needs a bar only thing its missing.
lovely friendly staff nothing was too much trouble Good location older style apartment
Friendly staff, good sized rooms, great location, friendly and efficient housekeeping service, rooftop swimming pool, beach towels card system was handy
Nowhere to store items safely on the rooftop when wind gusts picked up
Location was good - close to beach & central to Waikiki. Use amenities room at end of stay before departing on an evening flight was really useful, including shower. Kitchen in room well provided for.
Air conditioner was REALLY noisy - so loud that we couldn't hold a conversation over it. It did drown out the street noise which the mountain view rooms are prone to.
Excellent stay! Will def be back!
1 elevator was out of action, so sometimes we had to wait a long time for it. Can't be helped though, these things happen!
I like the location of this hotel. I like the swimming pool on top of the building, so we can have a full view of the ocean.
I booked the studio with ocean view; but when we got there, we found the room actually with partial ocean view. This should be a different price. So I talked to the front desk, and they told me that's the right room in the category; and asked me through which website I booked it. I told them it was booking.com. She didn't seem recognize the website, and saying something such as because I didn't book it through their hotel website. After a few minutes' argument, she finally offered me a room five-floors up. The view from the room at higher level was still not full ocean view; but better than the one we first got. The bathroom at the lower level was outdated - felt like we lived in the 70s. Well, I still feel we got ripped off by paying the ocean view price, but stayed in the room with only partial ocean view.
