Score from 431 reviews Very good
Did have a Laundry facility which is an asset.
Attraction to younger travellers who might consider this closer to a back packers facility.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. I fell ill and needed assistance and the staff were just so great. Bed was really comfortable and my room was huge (I was in a junior suite) Really close to walk to Duke's statue and Waikiki beach If you need a taxi they're usually there really quickly just watch out for rush hour traffic - even in Honolulu there's bad rush hour traffic
Large building site at the end of the road. Its a major 2 year project and while the builders were finishing each day by 5-6pm there was a lot of noise there. Waikiki generally was a noisy place. There was a betting shop downstairs under my window - so sometimes there were a few people hanging out - I never felt unsafe there though.
Elevators, one was broken and the other was very slow but did the job
Friendly staff, good location
Construction site very noisy. Exhaust system in room? Not sure what it was also noisy.
The location is very good, only 5 minutes walking to the beach. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. For example they provide different options for parking which saves us many money.
The air conditioner is old style. The machine has big noise at night which impacts the sleep.
Size of rooms, stayed 2 bdr apartment Central location Stayed for 1 night stopover in transit, fine for this only. Wouldn't stay for holiday.
Dingy area although central View not great Bathroom adjoins one room so need to access through room
Great staff, especially Harry, close to the beach and to some shops and restaurants. very good value for money.
Location was short walk to beach and shops.
The noisy air-conditioner, but luckily did not have to have it on, as room cool enough.
handy to beach and shops
The location is great if you want to be near the beach. Its a 10 minute walk to the beach.
There is really no parking to speak of onsite. Also, because I booked on a website, they did not honor my request, so 4 of us are slept in a room the size of a closet, with one bed. The over flow parking is 3 blocks away, and you have to pay out of your pocket after you already paid the hotel. They reimburse you when you check out, but get a receipt, and its money out of your pocket up front. So 5 nights in the overflow parking would be an additional $100 upfront.
Size of the room, quality of wifi reception, friendly staff
Building is dated, limited onsite parking, though has arrangements for overflow parking at another location
Great location with easy access to beaches and attractions.
Central location in Waikiki giving you access to all the sites
Limited parking. Can be get a lot of street noise.
The hotel was super close to everything - shopping, beach, nightlife. Decor was fairly neutral which is a lot better than most of the expensive hotels in Waikiki which seem very dated. Clean, comfortable and spacious. Much more affordable than others because it doesn't offer views, which suited me fine since I only really used the room to sleep and shower.
Room key card stopped working a couple of times. 24 hour concierge was able to fix promptly.
Location is awesome in that we are in walking distance of everything.
The parking lot holds 15 cars and if it is full you have to park in a public garage. The rooms are small and remind me of a motel not hotel. The air conditioning faces the ceiling so the room is always hot.
The parking is a issues, I have to fine a parking always around midnight so I could relax in my room. Also there is always issues around the block and strip can't be safe always looking behind your back, PSD
Staff very friendly and helpful and short walk to beach/shops/restaurants. Room was very spacious and had microwave.
It's in a good location to quickly see Waikiki beach and get the heck out of there asap.
Don't like Honolulu. Don't stay there if you want to enjoy Hawaii. It's like Miami and LA combined it's wort sides and created something weird.
Room was spacious with relatively modern furnishings.
That it didn't include breakfast.
The staff was friendly and helpful. It is a quick walk to the beach. Apples, coffee and water at the check-in desk. Night security.
I booked a two bedroom suite, but was given two side by side rooms at check-in, and therefore did not have the full kitchen or as many places to sleep as we needed. There were many long black hairs on the beds, and since we are a family with fair hair, they did not belong to us.
room service very bad short of towers parking not clean
Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Location was an easy 5 minute walk to everything.
Cockroaches in the Kitchen.
Security access after hours, entrance, shower and toilet in separate room with door.
Construction view and lack of a pool area.
Within 2 block, a very short walk, to the beach. Very comfortable room and bed. Did not have a pool or a beach view, but who needs that when Waikiki beach is 5 minutes away? Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. If I'm lucky enough to return to Oahu in the future... I will definitely return to the Aqua Waikiki Pearl
Staff and willingness to assist wherever possible was first class. For the price, we found it very good value for money. Cleaning of our room was exceptionally good and was completed daily without question over our 12 day stay.
Beds were a little hard and not to our liking but we did not complain.
