Location, friendly staff, clean hallways, and rooms, quiet. Great stay!
Liked the handy location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Free shuttle to Ala Moana and issue of beach towels were a bonus.
Rebuild of International Marketplace underway next door meant it was very noisy at times. "City view" apartment had view straight into next door parking station. Property has been renovated but still obvious in bathroom that it is ageing and needs further updating. TV in rooms very small and old and free wi-fi was very intermittent. Beds were very poor quality and uncomfortable.
Walking Distance to Waikiki Beach
Old person may have some difficulty accessing stairs to the reception with heavy luggage.
The location was great, the staff were friendly, and the the room was fine. It was a more affordable option in the Waikiki area, and worked out well. It's a short walk to access the waterfront and the restaurants etc.
It's a minor thing - we were a bit suprised that there were two double beds in the room instead of a queen or king size. So my wife and I took separate beds since we are used to sharing a queensize.
Staff was really helpful and friendly. Dee was really great! Bed was comfortable. Ample space. Fridge and microwave were nice to have. Location was great, just a block from beaches and restaurants. Right across from Marukame Udon and ABC Store (but then again, everything is next door to an ABC Store haha).
Not enough parking for everyone but I got lucky and didn't have to park in the nearby overflow parking lot. NOISE. We were on the fourth floor and construction on the lot next to the hotel started at 6am on Saturday. Luckily we were there only for the weekend and only had to deal with one day of noise. We had earplugs but also the nightlife noise could keep light sleepers awake. CLEANLINESS. The bed and room itself were clean. But the bathroom must have been rushed because there was hair on the shower walls and by the sink when I went to take my first shower. Additionally, one hand towel wasn't folded on the rack so I wasn't sure if it was clean or not. :(
Location is excellent; rooms were spacious (we had a complimentary upgrade to the top floor/ suite) staff was friendly, especially housekeeping personnel; cocktails served were delicious
No valet parking on site; elevators cannot accommodate large numbers of people so there is a wait time to get up to your room; no stroller/wheelchair ramp at hotel entrance (we had to carry our stroller up a flight of stairs to get to the lobby)
Location just a block from Royal Hawaiian and its great beach. Very pleasant/ helpful evening woman clerk.
Dated building and amenities. No swim pool. International marketplace next door construction noisy during day.
The staff was amazing! Very helpful. Room was great. Very close to beach and still located downtown.
Wish they had a shuttle bus to and from the airport to the hotel.
Good hotel for the price! Very comfortable
The location was good next to everything. Our room was large.
We stayed in 805 The noise from the street (nightclub across the road) also the balcony doors don't close 100% so u can hear the wind all night (they supply earplugs) The bathroom was old 70s style for a high rated hotel. The shower tap dripped all night (what a waste of water)!!!
I like the staffs patient and how clean and spacious the rooms are
Close to Waikiki Beach but in a less busy part of the area. Coffee in the lobby every morning was nice. Very helpful staff. Glad we got the room on te 12th floor - this was cool, we didn't expect it.
Not-so-amazing view from the window, a little loud because of the construction work nearby. Very dissapointed about the resort fee - didn't expect it, the room was already not that cheap...
The staff were very helpful. Note you are a block off the Waikiki strip so its not all family oriented if you get what I mean.
Very limited parking and no direct access from basement to rooms (although there is a reason for this).
Aqua Waikiki Wave is an awesome Hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I loved Housekeeping Lady, The Lady (Kalei) who books tours, and The Guys who greets people in the front....They all were so friendly and helpful we felt so welcomed and at home. I would 100% recommend Aqua Waikiki Wave to all my friends and would return back for sure.
Excellent location, just one block back from the beach. Value for money it is surrounded by much dearer hotels. The hotel public areas and rooms are very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Free WiFi throughout the hotel and also free beach towels and chairs. Quiet location overnight, not like a lot of US cities.
Next to the hotel is currently a construction site but it is only active from about 8 till 4 and not really a problem.
poor lighting in the room
Location was close to restaurants and tourist attractions.
The parking was full so had to park off site. Wifi didn't work for the entire week I was there.
Need to keep the room cleaner. Bathroom is in need of facelift.
This hotel charged my cc supplementary 15 USD + vat for mysterious "Hospitality Fee" without notice. Any such fee was not mentioned in the reservation from booking.com. Noisy location.
Close to the beach and shopping however the construction next door was very noisy.
Did not know there was major construction going on when we booked the room. No bell man on duty when we arrived and we had to carry our suitcases/golf club up the stairs. The vent in the bathroom was caked with dust bunnies.
Friendly helpful staff Clean comfortable room Nice amenities
Our room fronted a construction site that was lit most of the night. Parking was very limited.
The hotel is not far from the beach, Waikiki.
limited parking space even though you booked for it. Small room. Crowded lobby.
Great Location rooms were of a good size, has free video and WIFI. Has a free shuttle bus system linking the hotel to other sites. Beds comfortable but are just double. reasonable value for money. New Iron and ironing board has microwave and coffee.
The bath looked like it had not been cleaned for a couple of years their appeared scum around the tap area. May be as the tap leaked. Carpet could have been a little cleaner. Also like most USA and Canada hotels they forget that people drink Tea The TV was a cheap one and sound was poor turn up volume and it became distorted. The shuttle but was a great idea but no one in the hotel knew were it stopped and had no maps of the stops so was quite useless.
Close to everything we needed
Congested bathroom , uncomfortable mattresses and insufficient lighting. Front desk attempted to assess extra fees (facility fee and others?) not quoted when booking.
