Wonderful Character of the place Extras like Happy Hour - free wine and beer Class treatment and service Beautiful accommodation
The rooms were quite pleasant we did like the brick work
Not value for money and a very dark hotel .... Dark passages and squeaky beds
This hotel has a strong design sense without feeling impersonal. The location is brilliant for tourists and there is lots to see within walking distance.
Overnight Parking is expensive
Central location. Extremely comfortable room
Over-priced. My second stay there were several electrical faults with the room but the hotel was quick to reimburse me, when prompted. There was a lot of noise from next bedroom. The hotel is poorly sound-proofed for a new conversion
The rooms were lovely and very clean. The staff, from housekeeping to front desk to bellmen, were excellent and very willing to assist with with everything! Even though the hotel was busy, it was quiet and in a calm area of Fisherman's Wharf. Right across the street from the Hyde-Powell cable car turn around.
The cost for Wi-Fi extremely expensive.
Excellent location, stylish rooms, great beds. Good restaurant/bar on the premises.
No pool. That is the only negative.
A good hotel with an excellent location that definetly drove the price up. If the location of the hotel was any where else but at the wharf , the cost would have been at least half what we paid
Location of the hotel is great. Check in was a breeze. Size of the room was poor. Cost was high
Repeated tech support issues didn't allow our iPads to connect. Quick to blame our iPads but when all 4 didn't work they didn't have an answer.
location. large room, confortable beds, clean.
Location Staff Decor Atmosphere Blue Mermaid Restaurant/Bar
Room quite small No view Bed creaky and uncomfortable.
Staff, Cleanliness, Location, wifi, just genrally a fabulous hotel
Cost of Car Parking & price of Breakfast
Location, Rooms, friendly staff.
No free Wi-Fi should be a given at this price range.
The staff were awesome, all of them. The hotel was great. In balance 1 criticism and 99 good points mean I am 99% certain to use the Hotel or Group again.
Just 1 small criticism; the bathroom was not great and the bath/ shower was poor.
Nautical theme Crab chowder Fireplace in lobby Cold drinking water available in the lobby
Position (convenient and beautiful!) and care of peculiar design.
Receptionists at the check in/out desk are very icy. Not a good presentation for a hotel. A bit too pricey for value.
The position in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf is perfect for visiting SF. The stop of the cable car driving you to other turistic spots in the town is right out of the hotel. The room is high level, clean, furnished with taste with soft lights and very quiet. Nice working fireplace in the lobby (August in San Francisco is definitely a cold month, the fireplace was a very enjoyable feature). Plenty of restaurants nearby. Good value for the price.
No breakfast, but this is typical for city hotels. Plenty of diners nearby. Valet parking is nonsense, cause there are at least two public indoor parkings nearby. I saved about 50 dollars over three days by not using valet, and had the car ready at hand.
Blue Mermaid restaurant food; concierge personality and service provided
Zero personality at front desk; musty smell throughout hotel and room; dogs in lobby chairs; children at happy hour; children playing Wii in lobby; below par for $
The staff were fantastic The rocking lift music Wine o'clock The great décor Did I mention how great the staff were?
Staff had excellent customer service skills Hotel was particularly clean and location was superb for us to explore what san Fransisco had to offer. Our daughter left her beloved cuddly toy behind by accident and all staff, especially from housekeeping were simply excellent at ensuring it was returned to us as soon as possible . just superb attention to detail and customer service above and beyond any other we have experinced. Thank you and welldone.
As our room was at the front of the hotelwe didexperience some noise from the street below.
Proximity to waterfront Crab chowder at Blue Mermaid Complimentary wine Unexpected birthday gift
Seating area in room would have been a bonus Couldn't make tea, as only a coffee maker available
Excellent location...close to the bay, could see the Golden Gate Bridge (if we opened our blind)...please see below, near the cable car line, walking distance to Pier 49, and on Fisherman's Wharf.
Too pricey for the room we stayed in. Our room window faced Hyde St and due to the deep slopes of the streets in San Francisco; if our window blinds were open we would be looking at feet and people would be able to see right into our room. I think we were paying too much to have a room that we could not open our blinds for the 4 day stay.
Great location, characterful old building, free drinks during Happy Hour in the lobby each evening. Right next door to the trolley car turning circle
Cost: you pay for that location. This was the first of 6 hotels we stayed at on our California trip and probably represented the worst value for money
Great facilities, The Blue Mermaid bar on site is great. Staff very friendly.
Not good value for money, you're paying for the location which is fine, but still didn't represent value for moment. Very slow valet.
Free bikes were great, but we were lucky to get them since they only have 8 available for the whole hotel.
No coffee in the lobby. Internet should be free without having to sign up for the Kimpton "Karma Club"
