In a unique partnership with the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, the Argonaut Hotel makes its home in the historic Haslett Warehouse at The Cannery. Our boutique hotel overlooks San Francisco Bay and this national park, including its fleet of historic ships.

While the Argonaut Hotel's original 1907 style architecture still embodies elements of the nautical history of San Francisco in its heyday, its plush, stylish décor nestles guests in an accommodating, stimulating environment that is both modern and comforting.

Food & beverage

Located adjacent to the Argonaut Hotel on Fisherman's Wharf, the Blue Mermaid Chowder House & Bar is a classic San Francisco seafood restaurant serving casual fare and a large helping of Gold Rush Era ambiance. Our Fisherman's Wharf restaurant offers a menu priced for the whole family, featuring classic preparation of fresh seafood and homemade chowders in a casual ambiance.

Our full bar specializing in California wines, Irish Coffee and ocean-themed cocktails along with outside patio seating are guaranteed to promote mermaid sightings. Come in to our Fisherman's Wharf restaurant and listen for the siren songs of the legendary Blue Mermaid.

Offering some of the most picturesque accommodations in San Francisco, our rooms celebrate this Kimpton Hotel's waterfront location. Many of our 252 guestrooms and 13 suites offer stunning views of San Francisco landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay, Coit Tower and the Transamerica Pyramid.

Housed in the historic Haslett Warehouse by Fisherman's Wharf, some of the guestrooms include original exposed brick walls, large timbers or warehouse steel doors - all original to this historic 1907 San Francisco building. Rich design details celebrate the nautical history of the city's waterfront. Whitewashed furniture and captain's style desk chairs mix with golden yellows, deep dark blues and red accents throughout to create sophisticated, luxurious San Francisco accommodations.

In addition to our spacious guestrooms, the Argonaut Hotel features expansive 900 square foot suites. These suites include a separate parlor and bedroom, spa tubs and brass telescopes, offering grace and style worthy of the captain's quarters.

Excellent service.

Too much emphasis on theme of hotel (adventure) in decoration, uniforms of staff etcetera. A bit too much Disneyland for my taste. And the room was a bit small with view on wall.

Location to Fisherman's Wharf

Walls were a little thin. Could hear the people below us. I was really excited about the rate I got for this hotel compared to other websites so I told my sister about it. She booked a room at this hotel for the following week and got a rate $110.00 cheaper than mine, higher floor and better view, so I was a little bummed about that.

We appreciate their great service and friendly staff. Our room was very clean and comfortable -- great pillows! We and many others enjoyed the wine that was served every evening in the lobby between 5:00 - 6:00 PM. It is a beautiful historic holel with a museum and a great restaurant.

The hotel is very clean the rooms were ample in size and the staff was very hepful and courteous. The location was great and was within walking distance of everything and the cable cars were right next door which was very convienent for trips to other areas such as Chinatown or Financial district.

Fantastic location, close to all attractions. Lovely rooms. Extremely friendly and helpful staff who cannot do enough for you. The Blue Mermaid restaurant is excellent. We will definately be returning to the Argonaut soon!
