Very Clean, friendly helpful staff at desk. Fireplace in lobby. Two minuye walk to all downtown restaurants and places to visit.
Only one thing, electrical outlets in room, quite a shortage!
Very relaxing atmosphere.
I enjoyed everything but one tiny thing.
The pillows made my neck hurt.
Great location. Downtown Asheville within walking distance. Super friendly staff at front desk and restaurant.
Heating unit was kind of loud.
The location to downtown Asheville was great, our room was very comfortable and clean, and it did not appear that any pets had been kept in our room, which we had requested because of my allergies.
My only complaints would be our room's adjacency to a mechanical room, which was very loud in the hallway and still noticeable in the room. Also, the entry to the parking lot is tricky - you can very easily turn onto the highway ramp instead of into the parking lot (they could use some better signage for the entry). And the parking spaces are narrow.
Really didn't like the amenities in the bathroom. Instead of individual soap, shampoo, etc, they had containers in the shower. Shower gel wouldn't lather and I didn't feel that it was any good getting one clean! Also only vending machines were on the lobby floor down a hall--very inconvenient
Location, you can walk anywhere. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. The staff was friendly and informative.
Bulky pillows, noise, bathtub needs refinishing. Not sure what to think of shower dispensers. Could use more towels.
The room was super hot and stuffy the whole time
Everything about the hotel was great, but not having that little complimentary breakfast was a drag.
Exceptionally helpful staff, very good location off highway AND with walking distance to downtown. Really liked the on the wall shower gel/shampoo/conditioner dispenser, reducing waste from the little bottles.
Really bright bathroom lights, shower head sprayed really close to the wall and couldn't be adjusted
Downtown Asheville is triving with trendy shops and restaurants. This hotel is 200 yards from Broadway Rd (which turns into Biltmore Rd), the main street through town, so walking access is excellent. The hotel was nicely updated, comfortable and very clean and the staff was very accommodating. We will stay there again.
Internet was not the fastest but it was adequate. It worked well and there was no trouble connecting.
Right on the edge of the vibrant downtown scene. Easy walking distance to shopping and the great food scene that is Asheville.
Local area, the bed, decor
Charge for wifi
The staff was very friendly & helpful, & it was nice to have a good restaurant/bar right in the hotel
would have liked small two chair table and a safe
Staff very friendly
No hot water two days in a row. Clearly trying to cut costs and others complaining as well. A hot shower is a must for any hotel.
Loved the variety of pillows.
It was a little noisy.
Location Clean Friendly staff Recently updated
Slow elevator Little rust on bathroom fixture
Clean, nice staff, nice room
Location not as good as other downtown hotels. Price doesn't quite match up with ambience
The location was excellent. We walked to shopping and restaurants for every meal!
The towels were like cardboard. The air-conditioner was so loud, we couldn't run it. The ice machine was right outside our room and someone was always getting some. The pillows were flat as pancakes - even after asking for firmer ones. The bed was terrible, as well. The coffee was horrible, the lighting was cave-like. We paid $200 a night and felt like a $49 a night hotel. We would have changed hotels, but none had openings. I wish I would have read more on this hotel before booking it. I would have stayed outside of downtown and taken uber everywhere. It would have been better and cheaper. My back and neck still hurt a week later. Shall I go on???
The hot water did not work well. The warmth was barely there. So it was a cold shower. The bed skirt was dirty with many shoe markings from people rubbing up against it. Which makes me wonder how dirty the comforters could have really been. Lastly, I was surprised that there was no fridge or microwave.
Staff, Cleanliness, Complimentary water in room, Comfort of pillows and bed, Size of room, Complimentary Coffee, Proximity to downtown, Ability to email receipt, Value.
No complimentary breakfast.
The hotel is close to the downtown life of Asheville (bars, food, arts, etc.). The drive to Biltmore is very easy. I recommend staying here over the Biltmore side of town to be closer to the downtown activities.
The breakfast in the hotel is kind of pricey for the items served when the buffet is not available. A better option would be the numerous cafes a few blocks away.
