Ilike the location, comfort, value for the money
I did not like that the hotel had no restaurant at the hotel.
Location, awesome beachfront
A/C was barely adequate and the room was in need of renovation.
Pool and price...there was a mistake with the number of night stays and management corrected without my having to be inconvenienced...
Staff were not very accommodating (exception was management)...error for night stay should have been addressed at check-in; however, this gentleman simply ignored the problem...
The courtesy of the front desk and the quickness of the check in.
Elevator was kind of scary if you were going to get stuck in it.
no access to restaurants if you don;'t have a car and buses are quite rare along there.
Staff was not so welcoming, with one single receptionist, slow and busy with many phone calls.we did not receive the invitation to the welcome briefing that the hotel offers on the 1st day of staying.Room old and dirty(windows, bathtube stairs)minimal toiletteriesprovided.no hairdrier
I enjoyed the Workers. Their friendliness the clean room. And the pool. BBQ area and much more...
The oceanfront view was amazing. However, being on the ground floor we couldn't sleep with doors open. Still you could hear to the waves which is sth fantastic. On the contrary, due to the ground floor, the view to the ocean was amazing even from your bed. It depends on what you like most. Overall, never ending unbelievable view!! The room is clean. However the building is old so you can't say it is as clean as it actually is. Only curtains are not that clean.
You need to walk for maybe 1,5 km for the closest store to get sth to eat or so. You do need a car to make your life easy. You do pay 15 dollars for amenities which you don't actually use ; such as dvd's , daily newspaper. Wifi is included in that price. However, it could be free at least in public areas as in other hotels.
Rather funky - little run down, takes a bit of getting used to but much more interesting that concrete block hotels. Very nice large relaxing pool. Spacious room and grounds. Just cross the road to pleasant walking beach. Convenient location. Knowledgable and helpful tour advisor.
No breakfast place, though microwave and coffee etc available for self catering.
The front desk person was very friendly and helpful. Room were clean and quite. The swimming pool is old school, but large and deep.
Miskitos at the poach and inside the hotel
Charming Place w lovely grounds Staff was very friendly and helpful
Dated ... could use a face lift
I upgraded to a beachside room and the location and view was very good. I did not use the main hotel, facilities.
The rooms, although clean need to be decorated and renovated. The air conditioning worked only spasmodically was noisey and is in need of replacement.
Very close to beach.
Long way to walk to reception (from ocean side). Long walk to closest shops. Very old place, in serious need of renovations.
The standard of facilities was very poor. No eating or restaurant, no bar, very old and run down rooms. We were very disappointed with the place.
the reservation lady was very nice to us and swimming pool was very comfort and relaxing and also the lanai of our room is big and relaxing including our bed was big n comfort.
we didnt like da laundry room was very dirty n lots of mosquito's in da room when we first checked in we had kill all da mosquito in room before we took our stuff in the room other then that everything else was okay.
It was close to Kihei. It was 'livable' but only if you use the room only to sleep in. Staff are friendly, but please read the negative comment area for the real story about this resort.
$15 per night resort fee for regular items like movie rental and pool use. Not advertised openly on booking.com site. Also, the pictures are NOT what you get - this resort is ONLY oceanside if you pay an upgrade fee. The real resort backs an open field across from a lower-income housing area. This is a basic bait-and-switch and unmentioned extra-fee location.
The property grounds and location are great. We had an ocean front room.....amazing view!
The room was dated and you could tell it was old. There was a musty smell.
The morningview out the bed
The loud noisy street
Didn't see any of the buildings/rooms except for the oceanfront building 400. 1st floor room was 15 yards from the water and you can hear the waves from the room. Very nice. Two "private" beach areas on either side of building were all but empty, so it was nice to relax without fighting a crowd. It's not fancy and could definitely use a renovation...but you get what you pay for. $120/night for a true oceanfront room in Maui? Great value.
Nothing about the place itself, just some of the other tenants. There were two guys a few rooms down that looked local, never ventured more than 15 feet from their room, but were always lurking around outside - something very bizarre about them that made us uneasy.
Forget about breakfast, lunch or dinner!!!They do not have a restaurant!!!If you want to eat, you have to take a CAR.At arrival, you will loose 2 HOURS listenning to the staff who wants to sell tours. Poor location, the beautiful beaches are far away from that zone. Consider to go either at the north or even better
Loved everyone that worked there! Loved my expansive room and big bathtub! I really enjoyed all the open spaces outdoors and grounds in general, especially the big trees surrounding the Maui shaped Pool! I loved all the quiet and being far from any traffic.
I was not sure how safe I was with the Patios so connected? I did not care for the extra daily fees on top of pretty high rate. There did not seem to be more than one place to eat that was walking distance... A cocktail or happy hour with healthy options would have been perfect! I loved this place and plan to stay there again, especially if I could get a competitive weekly rate!
Great staff. They really took care of us
Not enough handicap spaces for the building we were in
I loved that my room was on the beach. I also loved that it was in good proximity to the town and shopping.
Not much parking and it was very tight. Would have loved a kitchenette. The room could have been brought up to date but wasn't bad for the price.
The staff were very welcoming and the location was good. Nice beach across the street. Informative morning session about the island and what it has to offer was very helpful for newcomers.
Noisy A/C unit made sleeping tricky. Carpet on the lanai needs to go. Popcorn ceilings need to go. Bathroom had broken tile and should have a fan or A/C to make getting ready pleasant. New locks on the doors would be more comforting.
