Hard bed Lack of facilities in the room No wifi in room only in common room The pricing does not reflect on the facilities that you have
Location was excellen
Very poor cleanliness, there was at least 1 1/2 inches of dust under our bed. Very Basic
The only thing going for them is the location (even then, opinions may differ)
Attitude of the hotel's front desk staff were so bad it defies belief! No urgency in dealing with guest's complains of portable fan not in good working condition in the room and the reply was, get this - "I can't do anything for you as I am alone at the front desk" instead of asking what my room number is and telling me that he will try to get someone to have a look at the problem and fix it as soon as he can. Guests sitting in the lobby had to put up with front desk staff chatting loudly in their own language as if they were no one around! To be avoided at all cost in future. Booking. com, you've made a mistake with this hotel on your list.
This hotel provides a bed for the night at a reasonable price, and the rooms are clean with good ensuite bathrooms.
"Free Wifi" means "access to wifi in one specific room of the hotel". No sound-dampening, so all street noises are audible in the bedroom. No frills - this hotel gives you a bed and a shower, but not much else.
Close to Chinatown Walking distance to Fishermans Wharf Close to bus & tram Laundromatte closeby
No airconditioner & fan did not work Old TV with no remote and minimal stations Very small bathroom
cheap location, at the heart of SanFo very clean
pillow was very thin riding the elevator felt like experiencing an earthquake my credit card and I had to be physically present to extend my stay. I decided to stay one more night so I called the front desk to inform them about my plans. I was asked to go back to the hotel before the end of check in time so they they can swipe my card again. You know, they could have just used my credit card info on file and get my signature later when I came back.
No water to drink at night when water tank refill ran out of water. Staff said that they had to call for new water tanks to be delivered. Condition of hotel was quite bad and old. Room has a stale smell. Heater has burnt smell. Toilet is as big as aircraft toilet. Cupboard smelled bad. Staining onto clothes. Beds quite hard.
Nearby you can take the bus to the main sightseeing points, such as the fisherman Wharf, Lombark St. and Gammon Bridge. Easy to get different kind of food around.
No Breakfast. Very old style TV, small room and poor bedding.
Convenient for Chinatown and a 10 minute walk from BART station and Embarcadero and Piers. Good value for money.
Dated hotel. Dingy room with view of walls and windows.
Closeness to union sq
Cleaning staff arguing at full volume outside my room at 800 am. Place smells. Ignored for 5 mins when checking out while staff finished conversation amongst themselves.
Hotel centrally positioned, excellent for sightseeing. Basic facilities. No frills!
Rude and abrupt woman on the reception desk.
Just the location - excellent
When we arrived, the woman was very unpleasant and told us that the elevator was broken. We were on the 5th floor... During all our trip the elevator was not fixed. The room was full of mold and the safe was broken - we didn't have a place to put our money and passports. I will never return!
Location was excellent. Hotel isn't amazing but for £40 a night you get what you pay for. Shower was brilliant too.
Quality of room, dirty feel to it. Super noisy, hardly slept.
location decent price
very old facilities no wifi in room, need to sit in a common room on Level 2
Location and price
Dirty, unhygienic, smelly hotel. Would not recommend or stay again.
Great location. Front lobby staff friendly.
No screens on the windows. Mosquitos kept fliying in. No plug for the bathtub. Had to ask every day for towels for the children. Don't expect a quiet night of sleeping.
The hotel is in an excellent location if you don't mind a little bit of walking. The price is a fair price, we payed less for more elsewhere but obviously the cities weren't as popular. Staff were all very helpful.
The rooms were clean but they didn't feel clean because of how dated the hotel was. If you want a hotel you're going to spend a lot of time in then this isn't it but if you want a base to sleep in for good value here is fine- we spent 5 nights no problem
The room had a bad smell, couldn't sleep because of the sounds from toilets and showers from other rooms in the morning. The woman in the reception was not friendly at all. Wifi didn't work in the room.
The room is hot! No AC, window cannot open, noisy doors, room too small, bad are hard and small.
Fair price. Excellent location. Rom was a bit small.
Breakfast was limited and had a nominal charge
location and price.
facilities are old, bedding and furniture in the room are cheap and poor. No wifi in hotel room
Worth it for the $$$ and the location! Walking distance from city center and union square, right next door to Chinatown. Staff are easy going. You do get what you paid for when it comes to the room, but it's all good - definitely good enough for sleeping :)
Only drama was our toilet wouldn't work sometimes, we were told to stop flushing it so often, but we hadn't even touched it for a whole day when this tended to happen.
The ubication is great, just a couple of blocks of the downtown, union square and all the stores, near to take tours, great place!!
It has a funny smell, all the things are too old, the bed is a mess, the courtains too old. If you want a good ubication but no confortable is ok
