I booked 2 rooms through booking.com and when I got there they said I only had 1 room. They said I would still be charged but we could share one room. I tried to get a refund so that I could go somewhere with 2 rooms. When they would not give me a refund I called booking.com. They called the hotel and magically they had another room for me.
Was near to the Toyota center
The water was to hot .cold water wasn't work
the staffs are so nice，especially James！
we leave early to catch a megabus at 7:30. When we check out, we ask one of the faculties (only one got up for us) give us a receipt. They told us the booking.com will give us. But he lies.
Big room with kitchen, very clean and fairly quiet. Staff is friendly. Bed is very comfortable.
Expensive parking $15 a day/night, wifi not working for me (but for my wife, even if it was slow). I contacted staff, but they just apologized. Kitchen was missing pan and pot.
I Never even stayed and they charged me anyway. I TRIED calling them 5 times and each time someone named 'James' would say that the owner was (busy, on the other line, on a conference call, with customers..etc). I had to make other arrangements simply because they wouldn't confirm my reservation. They sure as hell charged me though. THIS PLACE IS SHADY.
Very close to the conference centre, staff very nice.
Needs some updating such as carpets, decor. Wifi kicked out at times.
The hotel is located on a side street downtown near Toyota stadium and a short walk to public transit. Cost was excellent. Wide, straight stairway to second floor so no problem walking upstairs to room with luggage. (Not like some European B&Bs.) Staff friendly.
Just be aware you need to park in paid lot next to hotel.
My sister and I traveled to Houston for a Concert at the Toyota Center and it was about a 2 minute walk to the arena! Right down the road to the right was the house of blues (2 minutes) and a little further down was a mall(5 minutes). It is the cutest little efficiancies! VERY CLEAN!
The only down side & I mean the ONLY one, the water smelled and tasted like an aquarium. It wasn't dirty, just had an odor to it.
Convenient to all downtown Houston businesses and attractions.
Difficulty in turning on older (non flat screen) TV in room. Need assistance and, even so, TV suddenly went blank again.
Good location for needs: overnight for Houston marathon. Nice kitchen facilities and average room.
Front desk staff very impersonal. Not unfriendly as much as seemingly disinterested. Check in took approximately 45 minutes.
Actually everybody is so friendly from the Desk to the cleaner, always asking me ask where ever you need.
Beg to clean the room, Breakfast Vera, verá poor
close to great restaurants and venues at a great price
need to place an ice container and glasses, even disposable in room for bathroom and bedside use. Carpet needs to be stretched; rolls of excess in middle of room are a hazard. Need cleaning as well
a few minutes walk away from all main businesses in downtown Houston. Welcoming staff, clean bed and rooms, kitchen to prepare meals, small but functionnal gym A deux pas du centres de Houston. Personnel accueillant, chambres et lits propres, une cuisine, une salle de sport petite mais fonctionelle
Could here the cars running in the street, but there's not that mucgh traffic downtown at night and it didn't prevent me from sleeping Basic breakfast On peut entendre les voitures passer mais le trafic est minimal la nuit a Houston et ça ne m'a pas empêché de dormir
Good location. near metro train and a few good bars, free parking on street from 6pm to 7am
No wifi at best it took 30 seconds to open an email with just text.
Black hair in my sheets and in my bathtub. The TV had only one channel that worked. There was dust pretty much all over the room. The carpet is old and obviously dirty. It is not a 4star hotel, I have stayed in dorms in hostels years ago and I would compare this hotel to youth hostel! I ended up having breakfast and getting maps and directions from the Hilton nearby cause it was my first time in Houston.
The owner or manager would be sleeping while customers were trying to check in during normal business hours. The help was courteous and kind.
The stuff there is nice and location is good.
Facilities are old.
I read some bad reviews but was very pleased. Hotel is a total remodel, rooms look and smell brand new. No elevator but only two floors. Parking two blocks away but very cheap and easy. Staff very helpful and personable (greeted me by name next day). Will absolutely stay again.
Carpet in room was a little dirty and needed stretching (probably not installed correctly).
Clean and close to downtown
No sufficient staff to take care of guest needs and the kitchen amenities are very poor.
Comfortable felt at home staff was so helpful
We only stayed in Houston to go to the NASA space centre, so location wasn't an issue for us. Staff were friendly and helpful when they were there. Rooms were clean with great kitchen facilities
Reception closed early in the evening, and didn't open until approximately 9am in the morning, which made it difficult if you wanted to ask for some local advice. Breakfast was poor with very limited options available and no where to sit. But given that most rooms are equipped with kitchen facilities, this probably isn't an issue for most
