the general manager mr beckerley one of the finest people and always available.the cleanliness of rooms was superb, the food was exellent, the contenental breakfast, the very best lots of choices, front desk exellent, maid service bar none best i've seen, absolutely nothing negativ
The room was larger than expected. Good TV for watching the Pats game, although not HD. Beautiful view of the harbor and large cruise ships. Close to shops in downtown Bar Harbor. Everything was as advertised. Continental breakfast was one of the best we've experienced.
Must have been lady bug season...couldn't take advantage of the balcony overlooking the harbor.
The pool was nice location to Acadia Park wonderful as well as a few miles from downtown Bar Harbor. The breakfast was more than your typical continental breakfast with very attentive staff who went out of thier way to make sure everyone was taken care of.
Reception in restaurant Eden was not very welcoming. Male host made us feel we were intruding so we left and drove to the Chart Room which was terrific.
Great location and very nice property.
*close to downtown area *close to Acadia entrance *nice location on the water *relatively quiet
* Wi-Fi extremely slow--especially at night when the traffic was heavy.
The location and close to harbor and downtown
The only compliant we have was the there was barely any hot water both nights we stayed. We had to take a really quick shower because it wasn't pleasant. We complained and received 30 dollar credit.
The view is outstanding, the rooms large, nicely decorated and very clean. We sailed with Acadia Nature Cruises right off the hotel dock!
The carpets need to be changed, everywhere except inside the rooms.
Loved the view and the friendly staff.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good food in the restaurant and a very nice complimentary breakfast. The location was a plus. I left clothing in the room and the staff was gracious enough to have them mailed to us.
Beautiful view. Only a few minutes to the town and lots to see in the area. Arcadia National Park is only a few minutes away. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Love everything.
The rooms were great, and the view was fantastic. I loved the view, be sure to get a ocean view room.
No vent in the bathroom.
Comfort of bed. View from 4th floor.
Rooms in the main building. Great sea views. Refurbished decor in main building.Great staff. Fair continental breakfast.Shuttle bus stops in the grounds.
Shabby breakfast room felt like an old holiday camp. Plastic cutlery and paper plates. Rooms in separate buildings are really motel type rooms. Make sure you stay in the main building.
The view & value.
Our location was wonderful and the view was astounding. The staff was wonderful and we would definitely come back.
Our room, having a wonderful view, needs a bit of updating. The bathroom is a bit small but the room itself was very ample.
Location is the best. Their rooms overlook the bay and its just a mile from Acadia. Front desk staff is very helpful and courteous. View is the best.
Wifi - Its almost not existent. Even if you are connected, none of the pages open up. They need to add more conections, preferably one per building, givent hat there are 7 individual properties in the hotel. Bathrom exhaust - There is no exhaust in the bathroom, which makes the room smell after anyone uses the toilet. Complementary breakfast is decent, but all hot items are extra.
Good parking and location. Right on the water. Great view. Breakfast was good with great fruit, but the same thing each morning. Would've liked better tasting boiled eggs and more options for protein. Would recommend driving to town. Staff was very nice. Our king bed was very comfortable.
Our room, while it had a good view, seemed to be connected to the room next door. We could clearly hear them talk and their television. Our bathroom had a wierd ceiling and the towel rack broke. Some of the other buildings looked nicer.
Breakfast a disater Other dining facilities limited
Great location, great front desk staff and check in check out procedures, excellent breakfast program, superb views and overall ambiance. Food very good.
Beds uncomfortable and bedding makes loud noises when turning or getting out of bed. Restaurant understaffed at night. General everyday maintenance was poor ( rotten wood near ground, external doors don't fit. Toilet not adjusted to cut off ( I fixed myself ). Paint needed in many places and winter is now upon them. Small costs with big returns!
Everything about this hotel was great! Our room had a deck that overlooks the ocean. It was wonderful to enjoy my cup of coffee on the deck and watch the morning come to light over the ocean.
Great place, good location and very clean,
The breakfast room did not hold the number of people staying there
We had room with ocean view balcony which was lovely. We ate at the bistro restaurant one night which was good value and had fantastic views. Breakfast had a lot of choice but room locked ambience. It was rather like a cafeteria.
