This is a really cool house with beautiful artwork on the walls. My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights during the Essence festival. The owner, Nancy, was really nice and accommodating. Breakfast usually consisted of one hot dish that changed each day as well as muffins, cereal, pastries, orange juice, milk, tea and coffee. Close to Frenchmen Street which is a really cool part of town with lots of places to hear live music and great restaurants.

The bed was a little smaller that I had expected but it was fine. You can walk to the French Quarter but it was so hot and humid that week that walking in the hot sun was almost unbearable. Note that buses and most street cars stop running at midnight so you will have to rely on taxis if you stay out late.

Nancy is a true blue human being who loves what she does. It shows in every way with this B and B. Thanks for being a wonderful home away from home for us for a week, we will be back someday!

This is the place to visit! No sense to search any longer! The biggest attraction of the place is owner: Nancy. She cares about every single customer, she gives advice. Thanks her talent beautiful place has been created: with nice decoration, comfortable rooms and very special atmosphere. B&B is located very close to all attractions of French Quarter. The breakfast – cooked by Nancy! – together with all other guests seating at the same large table is THE EXPERIENCE! But be careful you can spend seating and talking like this 3 hours!

Amazing place to stay, not far from the french quarter for a great price. Far enough for some peace and quiet but close enough to walk. Nancy (the innkeeper) will help you with anything and will always have a helpful suggestion ready when you don't know what to do or what to eat! Breakfast is amazing and all homemade by Nancy herself. Something different every day!

The house was beautiful! Nancy was a great hostess and she really cared about answering any questions you might have. Breakfast was made every morning and was delicious. It was walking distance to the French Quarter so a cab was only necessary at night. If I ever go to nola again I will sure to be booking at the Auld Sweet Olive again. Thank you so much Nancy!

The hostess very helpful, gave us great local information. Home made breakfast pretty special. The B and B very comfortable, room decor brilliant, use of outdoor seating areas and lounge appreciated. Such a different place to stay, Nancy has thought of everything to make the stay special

Consider personal safe in each room.

This is a cute little b&b in the historic French Marigny section located conveniently right next to the French Quarter. The site itself was a charming old Victorian with a lot of interesting history, painted by a semi-famous set designer. High ceilings and charming fixtures in the bathrooms. We stayed in the Palmetto room which had a hand shower/bath combo, which was a little bizarre as it was too short to really bath in and not tall enough to shower but the toiletries smelled amazing. Nancy the host was amazing, very friendly and warm and knowledgeable about the city. It far enough from the French quarter that the walk is not a pleasure jaunt, but its worth it for the easy free parking and quiet environment.

Fiancé was not happy there was no tv in the room, made down time a little boring.

Nancy, the innkeeper, was fabulous. Always made time to assist in any way possible. Every day asked how our day went and would sit down with us and go over maps and give suggestions at the drop of a hat. She's an incredible cook and puts out quite a display of breakfast items every morning. The B & B is about a 10 minute walk from the French Quarter in a very quiet and safe neighborhood.

    There's nothing not to like.

This was the ultimate B&B with the ultimate owner/host, Nancy, She provided us with a list of all the are restaurants, without which we could not have located most. She pointed us to the great music spots in quaint Marigny. Her self service bar with soda, beer and wine for a very modest price was just superb. She had a garden sitting area where you could enjoy the drinks or read. This was truly the ultimate B&B with a home-cooked breakfast each morning to boot!

    Nothing...just superb.

Great historic location in walking distance of French Quarter and other New Orléans highlights. Delicious breakfast and hospitality.

In advance payment (via booking.com) was somewhat surprising

Nancy, the owner is an amazing woman. Very, very nice, skilled and service mindet. We stayed 12 days and it soon felt like home to us. The breakfast was superb with new baked every morning, like bread pudding, craw fish pies, muffins and so on. The whole place is great, beautyful rooms and a nice garden in the back where you can sit and rest with a glass of wine, after a long days strolling in beautyful New Orleans.

    Can't think of anything.
