It was the first B&B we have ever stayed at in our last 15 years of visiting the USA and on this experience I would certainly try it again.

Nothing to mention
Excellent location and very helpful owner. She had great breakfasts, beds and lovely atmosphere.there is a small garden with a kumquat tree in season you can enjoy the fruits on it.Me and my son traveled from Istanbul and stayed four days. For Turkish travelers to NOLA I recommend highly to this place. It is somewhat hard to find space, so do your reservation in an early date.

All the staff is so friendly, helpful and funny, specially Nancy, the inn manager. Very nice people

That we could not stay longer.
We could not imagine finding a better place. Takes the guess work out of our next trip to NOLA.

Lovely house, safe walking distance to the French quarter, local cafes and restaurants. Nancy gunn was a lovely host and very thoughtful even supplied beer and wine in the fridge for you to help yourself with a pot to put your dollars in! Would definitely stay there again

From our room we could hear every move and sound from the room next to us.
Nancy is a great host and a great cook. Very personal atmosphere. Walking distance to the center.

Though it wasn't a problem for us, at times we wished it was located closer to the French Quarter. It was about a 25 minute walk to Jackson Square. At the end of a long day of walking, it would have been great to be within about 10 minutes. Definitely not a deal breaker for us. The water temp in our shower fluctuated wildly. Totally understandable since it's a very old home. Again, not a deal breaker in the least!
Nancy, the owner, is really attentive, answered all our questions is just a super nice person. The breakfasts were great, served from 7-10:00 buffet style (with one warm dish each morning) so you don't have to wake up at a particular time. We enjoyed meeting the other people at the B&B as well, and that really added to our experience. It also doesn't hurt that when the restaurants and bars in the area charge $8-$12/drink, Nancy offers self-serve wine for only $2!

We spent a lovely few days at this b&b for our honeymoon. We would definitely recommend it to anyone. Nancy was incredibly helpful and patient with all our questions about New Orleans. The b&b is situated in a safe and pretty neighborhood in walking distance of the fab Frenchmen Street. The breakfast was very tasty, the bed extremely comfortable. Great air conditioning and very lovely decoration. We would love to come back soon!!

Synthetic sheets on bed made sleeping difficult.
Excellent location within a 10/15 minute to downtown and all the restaurants/markets. Very easy access to hop on hop off bus.Owner Nancy was very helpful.

The airport shuttle doesn't run there. You'd have to get a cab (which turns out to be worth it) or you can be dropped off at French Quarter Suites and grab a city bus or walk 9 blocks.
The decor and the proprietor. Everything about the place was inviting. Nice how you have to be personally greeted upon arrival like you are going into someone's home.

The neighbourhood looks residential but in fact there are stores, cafes and restaurants close by. We had the courtyard suite. Nice bathroom, good bed, simple kitchen. Very friendly and kind host.

The location was excellent. It was not in the French Quarter, but close enough to walk. The Sweet Olive was very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent! Nancy our host and owner was friendly, accommodating, very informative and interesting lady. Breakfast was available each day at 7:00 am. On our departure day, Nancy our host knew that we were leaving early. She had the breakfast ready for us to eat at 6:30 am. Wonderful place! Great coffee!

Nancy was a fantastic host Room and house was clean, gorgeous and peaceful Breakfast was delightful and catered for gluten free Great location in Marigny neighbourhood short walk to famous Frenchman Street

The welcome was excellent. The place is good, close to French Quarter but not to close. The suite is very nice with all the comfort but with the charm of a house. As french travellers we definitely recommend it.

Excellent neighborhood and near to French Quarter. Clean and nice room. Good breakfast. Thank you Nancy!

Lovely B&B; very nice rooms in a beautiful house; very close to Frenchmen street & Decatur street (tons of great restaurants, bars with a more authentic feel than Bourbon st.) Breakfast was very delicious, with a nice array of homemade baked goods. Nancy was very sweet and extremely accommodating. All in all, staying at this B&B really enriched our travel experience in New Orleans, and I would highly recommend it to anyone -- I only wished we'd have booked some additional days!

The air conditioning was a little noisy in the room.
We loved our host, Nancy. So helpful with any enquiry we had and happy to please clients. We also liked the ambience of the Auld Sweet Olive, relaxing and quiet to just "hang out" if you chose to do so, wonderful fresh breakfasts every day and very welcoming. We would recommend a stay there to our friends.

This is the perfect B&B in a quiet yet very convenient New Orleans neighborhood. Whether you're in town for the food, fun, music, shopping, or business, the Auld Sweet Olive is the perfect place to stay to get the most out of your trip. Nancy and her team are lovely and couldn't be more accommodating. The property is perfectly charming and offers ample opportunity to hang out and relax or serves as a comfortable, close stop-over if you're busy enjoying everything else New Orleans has to offer. I highly recommend Auld Sweet Olive and know that you will too! We didn't want to leave and will certainly be back!

Great Location within walking distance of French Quarter. Historical safe neighborhood Large room Great Food and service

The bed was a little smaller that I had expected but it was fine. You can walk to the French Quarter but it was so hot and humid that week that walking in the hot sun was almost unbearable. Note that buses and most street cars stop running at midnight so you will have to rely on taxis if you stay out late.
This is a really cool house with beautiful artwork on the walls. My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights during the Essence festival. The owner, Nancy, was really nice and accommodating. Breakfast usually consisted of one hot dish that changed each day as well as muffins, cereal, pastries, orange juice, milk, tea and coffee. Close to Frenchmen Street which is a really cool part of town with lots of places to hear live music and great restaurants.

Nancy is a true blue human being who loves what she does. It shows in every way with this B and B. Thanks for being a wonderful home away from home for us for a week, we will be back someday!

This is the place to visit! No sense to search any longer! The biggest attraction of the place is owner: Nancy. She cares about every single customer, she gives advice. Thanks her talent beautiful place has been created: with nice decoration, comfortable rooms and very special atmosphere. B&B is located very close to all attractions of French Quarter. The breakfast – cooked by Nancy! – together with all other guests seating at the same large table is THE EXPERIENCE! But be careful you can spend seating and talking like this 3 hours!

Amazing place to stay, not far from the french quarter for a great price. Far enough for some peace and quiet but close enough to walk. Nancy (the innkeeper) will help you with anything and will always have a helpful suggestion ready when you don't know what to do or what to eat! Breakfast is amazing and all homemade by Nancy herself. Something different every day!
