The bed, the layout and the breakfast
1/2 the staff was friendly. The other half, especially behind the counter or on the phone, were abrasive, dismissive or not very knowledgeable about the surroundings.
It's was very nice felt like home
The only issue I had was at check-in with receptionist Jake ....he needs to be fired if it wasn't for Judy the other receptionist helping me after 1 hour and half I finally checked in it was horrible waiting with my bags in the lobby because he was being very lazy and racist
Received a free upgrade upon arriving, the facilities were very clean and comfortable
It was a bit outdated but who cares with a room so nice!
Liked everything about the place, especially the happy hour. Nicest staff I have every had wait on us. Pleasant and eager to please!!!
Can't think of anything I didn't like!!!
The proximity to the train into Austin meant that I didn't have to drive there - fantastic! The green features were also a big plus. I recommend this place and will be returning.
front desk girls and they wouldn't let me take breakfast to my room even when there was no sitting room for me
My suite had the comfort and feel of an apartment. I felt right at home.
There wasnt anything that i didn't like. Everything was clean and cozy.
no Internet, no credit for no internet. They booked school tour which overwhelmed facilities. No food at breakfast. Hard to check out. Late for meetings
This hotel had obviously been a Marriott Residence Inn. They usually do a good job with the facility layout--it's cozy without seeming crowded. Breakfast and happy hour were very good.
I suspect Marriott sold the facility because the adjacent mall and office buildings have been taken over by public sector uses. The neighborhood was uninteresting.
Most every thing
Unthoughtful comment from one staff member
Breakfast was really good.
The breakfast was great and better then any other places we had stayed before. Close to a lot of things.
Wifi was overused and hard to stay on. Easier not to use at all.
Location was not picturesque, but conveniently close to downtown and major highways.
One morning I could take breakfast to my room, the next day this was suddenly not allowed. Even though I brought back the plates and silverware.
They offered some gluten free bread for toast in the morning breakfast buffet.
More gluten free selections for breakfast would be nice
I loved that you get an entire sweet for less than the price than that of an average hotel. Fireplace was amazing and plenty of room for activities.
The breakfast was mediocre. But like I stated, for the deal you're getting well worth it.
The staff was great- very flexible with anything we needed. Nice place- full with trees and flowers. The room itself was spacious and equipped.
The shower can be redone.
A great place next to a shopping center and a convention center but totally secluded, surrounded by trees and gardens. The suites are large and comfortable, the kitchen could be stocked better and the decor is a bit outdated. The staff is very friendly, especially during the free breakfast and Happy Hour. If it wasn't for the weak internet service it would be a no-brainer to stay here every time we are in Austin.
The WIFI service is almost none existing. If by chance you get online it's only for a few minutes or even seconds. It's almost as bad in the office area as it is in the suites.
My room was clean and fresh.
I was surprised to see the older kitchen appliances. I only used the fridge, but had I needed to actually cook, may have found it to be a bit challenging.
Great breakfast and staff. Wooded property that gives it a homey feel versus a standard hotel location.
property is excellent
location of property is not that good.
Wish they had a heated pool.
What's not to like? It was enchanting.
My log for the fire set off the smoke alarm...LOL.
Very much like having an apartment like place with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. So for the price, we were pleased. Breakfast was excellent and very much liked the chef and the staff. The front desk staff was excellent and very helpful as well. Fresh apples, coffee and tea all day in the lobby. Although the neighborhood wasn't great, it was centrally located and easy to get around. Good coffee shop right around the corner. Bed and pillows were comfortable.
The neighborhood was as others have said not great. Really did not like the 2 nights that there was VERY LOUD music coming from somewhere and ending at 2:00 AM. Thought that the maid staff was not well trained. We had asked for extra blankets because there were none on the beds and we froze the first night. They forgot to bring them so had to go get them. Think they either took or threw away my daughter in law's medicine that was in a paper bag sitting on the counter. Had some issues like no hot water upstairs and the front door not closing all the way. After asking for maintenance, all was repaired and really good. Just feel like they were things that the maid staff should have made them aware of.
