Lawrence was an excellent host and makes a mean breakfast!
Lawrence, the Innkeeper is an expert at making you feel welcome. He genuinely does his best to make guests comfortable. The breakfast menu is made to order and offers plenty of options. I would recommend Holidae House to any type of traveler.
Our room was a bit cool at first, then Lawrence adjusted the heat to meet our needs.
Host was excellent. Breakfast was wonderful. Cleanliness was excellent.
The only downfall was the cool breakfast room.
Laurence was the ultimate host-delightful, welcoming and hospitable. The room was fantastic and the service was excellent. We especially loved the home made granola and farm fresh eggs for breakfast. Would recommend the Holidae B&B to anyone.
Excellent breakfast, great hospitality, good conversations. Afternoon/evening tea, cookies, and drinks is a nice touch. Nice accommodations at a reasonable price
Wifi was very spotty. Could be easily fixed by adding a repeater.
The house was absolutely charming as was our host. The room was very comfortable and quaint. The home cooked breakfast was outstanding with beautiful organic eggs and delicious English seville orange marmalade. This was a real treat for us.
Laurence was a wonderful host - welcoming, charming and couldn't do enough to help! Breakfast was amazing. Centrally located in Bethel.
Decor was dated - but that's part of the charm.
The obvious concern of the owners to make our stay enjoyable.
Breakfast was great, drinks and cookies in the lounge a nice touch. Furnishings and decor good.
Well prepared breakfast. Friendly and helpful proprietor.
Store bought sliced bread was an out of key note amongst the other fresh breakfast items.
Truly nice place! The owner is extremely welcoming, feels just like a little home away from home. Everything is kept in florals, the place feels like a bit of old Britain right in the middle of new England. Great breakfast, anytime again!
The place is somewhat unique and stylish.what I enjoyed most is the humor of Lawrence - the owner! In second place comes the excellent breakfast - and in third place his restaurant recommendation. Stay there!!!!
Friendly hosts. Good breakfast and tea, coffee, cookies available all the time. Drinks such as sherry and port available in the evening. Very convenient position to walk to shops and restaurants in Bethel.
It was a bit tired. Wifi was intermittent.
Laurence and Marcia are warm, witty, charming hosts. Breakfast was made to order and delicious (try the French toast or Laurence's homemade granola -- or both). Passed an enjoyable evening chatting with some of the other guests.
There is wi-fi, but its range is extremely limited.
Warm, friendly, helpful welcome. Great food. Lots of extra touches - after dinner drinks, choice of breakfast, good advice and conversation.
Cozy comfortable feeling Amenities Breakfast
Wifi was a little weak but needed to detach so not a major issue
We enjoyed everything about our stay! Breakfast was wonderful and Lawrence and Marsha were very gracious!
Lawrence and Marcia were so nice! They were very welcoming and made a personalized breakfast ( which was amazing!). There was always tea, wine, and water bottles available for guests.
The beds are a bit uncomfortable.
We liked the friendliness of the host and the old fashioned antique style of the furnishings. Our *Lonely Planet* New England guidebook recommended this place and said that "the English host serves up a mean breakfast" which was true. We had a great time there.
Everything was just as a bed and breakfast should be. Room was comfy and breakfast was delicious. Host was gracious and has a great sense of humour. Loved it!
Delightful B&B, great hospitality, charming landlord Laurence who provides a delicious (cooked to order) breakfast. You might have a distinguished conversation with Laurence and other guestst in the cosy living room over the complimentary liquors. Supermarket across the street, several restaurants in walking distance
Clean, Charming, warm welcome, awesome breakfast
Wi-fi did not work for me!! but was working for my girlfriend!!
Lawrence and Marcia were very helpful host and very sweet. Breakfast was amazing and I would recommend this b&b to anyone
The kindness of the hosts ,the wonderful breakfast.
The whole place needs up dating, it felt like an english home back in the 70's, far too many(( dusty)drapes and carpets, windows are propped open with a piece of wood, and are in great need of a lick of paint.
