The sunny outdoor porch connected to room was great!
No parking facilities, had to park in dodgy area around corner. Old building but it is being renovated and has much potential.
Proximity to Garden District Good value Nice choice of breakfast items
Room was not clean when we checked in at 7PM . However, went to dinner and came back and it was taken care of.
The location was great. The Garden District is very laid back compared to the French Quarter. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Did not get the room I booked. Less than average breakfast. Bathroom needs a real make over. A piece of cloth hanging from the ceiling with no possibility of opening or closing.
No problem with wifi and good mattresses. Good proximity from French quarter.
The breakfast was tacky! All Those pre-pared junk foods Were disgraceful for such a cute Hotel Why not have really just good coffee, and French bread only with good jelly or jam. Coffee was bad.
Beautiful 150 year+ home right on St. Charles trolley line. Perfect location for anyone who wants to do both the garden district and Fremch Quarters And not use thier car. (Street parking was easy to find).
New carpet and mattresses would be a major improvement to the facility
The location is excellent
The bathroom was dirty with broken floor tiles. The room was not serviced during our stay. Got badly bitten by bed lice.
The Location and price.
room never made up. Smell.
The staff was very nice. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, a lot of variety. We caught the trolley right out front and took it all over New Orleans for $3.Had a great time. I would definitely recommend it and would go back.
Glad that I brought my own pillow and blank otherwise I didn't know how I was going to sleep in the bed with sheets that somebody else used and not changed. Breakfast? Don't even think about it! Office was still closed and nobody was working by the time I left which was 7:30am. I just couldn't wait to get out of there!
I was surprised at the noise in the hallway as folks moved in /came back in the evening. The hallway sounds travel easily into the room.
I appreciated the warm welcome when we arrived and the comraderie with the staff.
Dirty tiny room, historic charm didn't make up for the almost not flushing toilet and uncomfortable bed. lots of dust
Staff was very friendly. The streetcar stop was directly in front of the inn, which made it extremely convenient to explore the area!
The excuse for dirty rooms (and filthy bathrooms), no heat, and a broken shower head was repeatedly, "well, it's Mardi Gras". Well...I grew up in New Orleans and this excuse doesn't pass muster. When you are in the hospitality industry and your busiest time of the year is Mardi Gras, it's your business to ensure your guests are provided clean rooms - preferably with working bathroom facilities. Given the lack of parking and the very poor quality of the facility, next time I will pay slightly more for a hotel with parking and maid service.
The location of the hotel is convenient to many attractions in New Orleans.
Our room was on the 3rd floor. No elevator. No offer from staff to help getting suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. Room wasn't very clean.
Location was good. Streetcar stopped right across the street. Several good places to eat only a short distance from this property.
Parking is a bit of a challenge !
The classic old school New Orleans flavor !
I found one bug but it can happen in an old building on the ground floor.
The french quarter is on walking distance (30-40 min), st Charles avenue ask you to be discovered... is beatiful! Very good breakfast. Streetcar just in front of the hotel.
No phone line. We had to leave early each day, so we would have liked to have breakfast available sooner.
Small and quiet.
Room was slightly dirty and the bathroom was very small
Short taxi ride away to downtown New Orleans and lots of restaurants nearby.
It is friendly, beautiful, comfortable, on the parade routes. Close to restaurants. Nice neighborhood. Clean!
The rooms heat wasn't enough and the room wasn't clean as it should have been.
The staff was awesome! Location was good.
very friendly staff , breakfast, coffee all day
Bugs in the bed
There was some confusion with the booking.
Great value. The staff was friendly, the room was nice, the location was fantastic, the buildings are cool.
It was very old, mattresses were terrible. Overall cleanliness was a major problem. The first night we had a room with nasty carpet, couldn't even walk barefoot. We asked to switch rooms and it took two nights to make that happen.
Loved the location and proximity to the street cars and Garden District.
