full kitchen in room with all necessities; comfortable beds; nice shower; nice courtyard and pool area; good location
small bathroom and entry; noise around elevator at all hours; very small pool; entry desk and valet staff typically not friendly or helpful; we asked night staff to recommend a local place for pizza delivery and she told us to 'Google it.'
Staff was helpful and friendly; hotel has great facilities like fitness & pool area. Rooms are more like apartments. Hotel is a nice alternative from French Quarter experience.
Not Wyndham's fault but the street car line repairs are a drag and taking forever.
Conveint and comfortable, great view of the city from the sun deck. In walking distance from several great places to eat. Loved the rooms. The shower was very spacious with great water pressure. Valet was the best service, they were on top of their game for sure. Very much enjoyed our stay.
Our phone was out the whole time so couldn't call valet to have car ready but they were haveing a new system installed in their defense. Parking is very expensive in N.O. Any where but the resort charged $24 a day for parking which was kind of high in my opinion but they keep your vehicle locked up inside a fenced in area so it does stay safe. Over all no real complaints. Had a great experience. Will definently go back.
The door man Herb was excellent. our stay was great!!!
Pool and hot tub were in a nice patio setting away from the street. Roof deck and balcony on St. Charles Street were great places to gather and entertain.
No bathtub. Pool and roofdeck both close at 10pm, which seems a little early for the New Orleans life! Streetcar currently being repaired, so it doesn't run in front of the hotel. There is bus service, however.
We checked in during a monsoon that caused flash floods in the French Quarter. There were at least six bellman on duty standing around. My husband made five trips back and forth to unload the car without assistance. On the other hand, these same people bent over backwards for us when the weather cleared. The room and facilities were great, although on the pricey side.
Parking charges of $22/day are way too high.
The extra room with the kitchen was a wonderful place for the family to gather! There were places to eat within walking distance, like The Trolley Stop for breakfast. Having the trolley so close was a super time and money saver!
Restaurant wasn't open on Sunday or Monday. Construction out front was a detractor and a bit of an annoyance. Elevators were always so full!!
The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool area was nice to have, after a long day sight seeing.
The rooms-bedrooms and bath in the single bedroom suite-were a little small, and closet and drawer space was limited.
The customer service was excellent.
everthing except the front desk staff and the very very pushy staff trying to sell time sharesw!!they even called our room several times and came by and knocked on the door. how very rude!!!
Was not warned that the hotel was under construction and therefore were fire alarms, maintenance rapairs, etc. Also, I booked a smoking room, only to be told the hotel is entirely smoke-free.
Construction on front of hotel. Wee were not warned of this and didn't expect it, so we showed up to a bit of a noisy mess.
The valet parking was very nice and they were quick and courteous.
They did not provide coffee daily and they did not clean the room while we were there. They said we were responsible for that. It was not really a hotel but a time share.
Location is good, street car stop right outside main entrance. Fully kitted out kitchen area in the room.
This is a time share hotel so reception staff try to sell packages. Hard to get valet parking as the entrance is right on a main road. No housekeeping. Slow elevators. TINY bathrooms. Limited power sockets in room.
No breakfast available, ever! No room cleaning apart from fresh towels No laundry
Wonderful large rooms with every amenity. Great location (I've stayed here many times before b/c of location). Clean. Staff was very nice & helpful.
1. There were consistently very long waits for the elevators - one time we waited 15 minutes. 2. 4:00pm check-in is too late, later than any other hotel I've stayed at.
Very nice and friendly staff. Very helpful.
great location with tram just across the street spacious room with well equiped kitchen
tiny bathroom in a room for 4 loud heating system
Room was very nice. Two queen beds, with kitchen. Looked just like photos.
Bath was very small.
The room had separation of the bedroom and the living area. It havd a pretty complete kitchen and was fully stocked with pots and pans, as well as eating utensils, plates and glasses, etc.
The bathroom was too small. There wasn't even space for a trash can. And, getting your car seemed to be a hassle everytime.
Room was great! Loved having a mini kitchen, it made the trip so much better to have breakfast in the room Our valet Jerome was wounderful , he took really good care of us and was so helpful with our luggage in storage.
The staff didn't have a clue when we tried to check in. They said they didn"t have a room with two queens and would a king do. I called the night before we arrived to confirm this.I Also requested the two queens when I made and paid for my reservations on june 18 th. Finally found a room for us after an hour but said we'd have to be out of it by 9:00 A.M. because of renovations to it. We got up and packed and vacated the room, they told us they'd have a room by 4:00p.M. we had not planned to be out of the hotel for the whole day with our luggage in storage!! We had planned on having a very lazy restful day,but had no room to do that in !!!!! Finally they put us.......RIGHT Back in the room we had vacated!!!! What the heck is going on with these people? I feel they should refund at least one days monies for our inconveince. They didn't even say "sorry for problems"
loved it, great location, excellent friendly, helpful staff. well appointed suite, very clean, and very new Orleans, cant say enough good about this place. I have recommended it to several of our friends
Tram right across the street Neighbouring restaurants and bars
The location in the Garden District was within walking distance of the lovely antebellum mansions and great restaurants. The streetcar was right outside our door. It was a 20 minute ride to the French Quarter. The neighbourhood was quiet after the noisy hustle and bustle of all the sights of downtown New Orleans.and safe for an morning stroll. The hotel grounds were beautifully landscaped with 2 pools to relax in at the end of the day. We would highly recommend this hotel and would return in a heartbeat.
Nice, clean and comfortable. Loved the roof top deck, pool and spa area. Also used the guest room for computer and to print our boarding passes. Right on trolley line too!
The "very friendly" young lady and young man really just want you to agree to a time share pitch.... Should be more upfront about their motives. Then the desk called us twice that morning to be sure we would be downstairs in time for transport to your new facility for presentation. So we are downstairs ten minutes early and no one ever acknowledged us, said a word to us or said "boo" so we waited another 15 min past the time we were told to be there and then decided to leave! That evening the young man actually had the nerve to call us and ask where we were that morning!! I told him we were there and after being totally ignored for 25 minutes we left. You snooze you lose! Btw... We recently retired and were actually interested in learning about your properties.... Oh well.... Maybe someone else will want our money. Ps.... We had just arrived back in the us after being away in Spain and taking a transatlantic cruise for 22 days....:-)
