Atmosphere, great scenery, friendly staff, view of the water, proximity to the Keys and specifically Key West. Parking was great, easy to unload bags to our room.
The fact that we had to leave.
The location - ideal, the sunset and the chance to take a boat trip around the local area organised by the hotel. Very spacious rooms, comfortable bed and excellent showering area. Very friendly, helpful receptionist.
Kitchen facilities for cooking is poor. Definitely not suitable for longer stayers who like to cook as they go.
Immaculate, comfortable and clean room and grounds. The deck and small beach were nice places to relax. Hammocks at the front of the property were very nice. Kaelynn at the front desk was a very welcoming person.
Television access needs an upgrade.
The suites are large and comfortably furnished. We especially liked the grounds, with lots of charming places to sit and enjoy the view, from the dock or the lawn. Although close to the highway, the setting is peaceful and relaxing. Staff members were friendly and helpful.
Caribe Suite has no windows or view to the outside whatsoever (except via the glass doors to the patio, blocked off with blue tarp). This was tolerable due to the lovely grounds beyond. Although websites refer to this as a beach resort with private beach, I don't think one could really swim from there! Prices are relatively high, even for the Keys.
Close by to many activities. Good parking. Nice & quiet surroundings.
Seaweed smell on waterfront dock unpleasant. More lighting in The La Palma room would have been better.
Lovely house. Exceptionally helpful staff- could not fault stay at Azul delMar. Would not hesitate to return
Easy to find. Friendly Staff and owner. Comfortable bed. Very well kept grounds by Raul
Should have realized before we got there that it was self catering which was not a problem. Room and furniture a bit tired. Not mosquito free, got well bitten.
The location was wonderful and the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Wonderful view.
The unit was very poorly and cheaply furnished and did not correspond with the luxurious surroundings. Bathroom door opens almost directly onto the sofa in the living area, offering no privacy.
Luxurious apartment with separate kitchen and living room. Beautiful grounds with a wonderful semi-private beach. Nice view. Very helpful and nice staff.
The highway is nearby and sometimes a bit loud. We found the Florida Keys in general to be a bit disappointing. The highway is everything but scenic. You really need to get out on the water in a boat to see anything resembling nature.
From the moment we stepped through the door we were impressed. The "bungalow" (Orchidae) was beautiful, the view fantastic, and the peacefulness heavenly! The fact that this is adults-only and the semi-private beach-front seating areas added a lot to the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. It was like we had our own house on the Gulf! Right outside our door were friendly anoles, a thatched-roof cabana, and a great area for beginning snorkelers. We thought it was perfect! Definitely enjoy the sunsets and early-morning coffee on the private pier!
It was hard to find! The font of the sign, and perhaps the coloring, made the entrance hard to locate in the daylight. At night the blue lights worked great, though.
Great staff, treat you like family. Small private beach is worlds better than the public locations nearby. Rooms are nice and spacious, comfortable bed and kitchenette. No need to go another 100 miles south, Great Keys are right here in Largo.
Bathroom needs an exhaust fan. Check the mosquito level prior to travel, bring spray as they blow in from the surrounding area at times.
Stylish and secluded. Great getaway!
We loved the view, we had the beach/sitting area pretty much to ourselves, staff was helpful and very nice. Did a sunset cruise with capt.ron(casey), and that was enjoyable
beach was tiny
Excellent view, beautiful grounds. Extremely helpful staff.
We couldn't get the room to cool down. It was always humid and warm.
Everything, it was beautiful. The setting is idyllic, quiet, and the water is warm. The sunsets were magnificent to watch from the well placed lounge. We loved having a private beach for the very limited number of guests the resort holds. Plenty of facilities for everyone. Possibly, a pool or spa would be a nice addition but, really, the beach and bay were perfect.
There was no toaster in the appartment.
The grounds were beautiful!! Better than the pictures if you can believe it. The staff was so helpful with restaurants to try and with the millions of questions that we had.
There isn't a pool but that didn't make or break our trip. There is a beach that one could cool off at though.
It was quiet and private. Very relaxed atmosphere. Well maintained grounds and rooms. Friendly staff and host.
It was a lovely place to stay! Dominick was an awesome host!
