Score from 2263 reviews Very good
Unclean, over priced and very noisey
Very expensive for a very small rooms with no extra services and no amenities no lobby no extra services
Fantastic downtown location, very near subway, rooms small but clean and comfortable. Really friendly, helpful staff. Hotel itself was really quiet, didn't hear any other guests at all. New York is very noisy but not a lot the hotel can do about that! Highly recommended.
Comfy bed and pillows
Bed sheets were ripped Could probably get better for same money
The room is fine for 1 person . I think it's too small for 2 people . Having said that the hotel is great , clean & I love the location
Location with 5 metro lines. Room change possible because first room was too small
Small rooms but ok price, loud air con, bugs in the shower
Very basic amenities Have to go to lobby for water
Rooms are very tiny, but it's all you can get for this money.
Small rooms Not very clean
The area is much nicer than we were told. It's noisy and not super clean, but the atmosphere is very nice and the food amazing and cheap. So if you want a cheap hotel in Manhattan, Chinatown is the place. But do yourself a favor and pick another hotel!
You can feel every single metro going under the building (every 5 minutes and at night too). The internet connection was terrible half of the time and non existent the other half. One of the staff member was pretty rude. The A/C is pretty bad.
Overall a good place to stay; for being on the less expensive end of the spectrum, the quality was good.
Very small. Very modern, but cramped. No where to store anything and when you open the shower door water goes everywhere.
Location is close to a subway station.
The woman in the reception is very unfriendly. Although the terms and conditions says not prepayments will be charged the hotel charged the 1st night 4 days before to our arrival. The room is very very small and dirty.
This hotel is perfect if You want to stay in Manhattan and don't spend too much money. Canal St. Tube station in under the hotel...location is perfect!
Manhattan is a very caotic city and room is not very soundproofed
Location, Hotel Staff
i was able to book one of the rooms with 2 twins bed
noise & how small the rooms were
Everything was wonderful.
Nothing to report,
Location was great, on the corner of Canal and Lafayette right next to Chinatown.
Room was a little small...
We did like the location even though it was more congested then I thought it would be. I t was still convenient. We were at the heart of Canal St. My bed was so comfortable and comforters and pillows were great! I am fuusy about my pillows. Staff was very nice! Wayclose to Little Italy and China town. Soho district around corner for unique shopping.
I had room 207 and it was a little small. It was just myself and neice and shared king bed. Please wash the windows they were so dirty, it was gross.
Location, being very close to china town, soho and little italy is great.
Room was too small, staff was not really helpful
I was unsure about the hotel at first given the area and its lower star rating, but honestly it was a great hotel for an excellent price. The lobby looks a bit shady but the rooms are clean and comfortable. I saw other reviews stating that the subway made too much noise for them to sleep; however, we were only on the second floor and had no problem sleeping with the air conditioner on. It is also super close to Little Italy which offers a wide variety of cute restaurants and bars.
I didn't like anything
The space was small, and uncomfortable. It was filthy and inhabitable. The floor wasn't vacuumed. The shower was coated in grime. The service was a disgrace. NEVER EVER AGAIN
The position of the hotel and the price was good for NYC. Staff provided a fridge on request. Air con worked well.
Very small area to move in the room
Chinatown location Small room, but okay for only being in the room to sleep and shower
Street level is super busy and early morning honking is better than an alarm clock. We had an issue arise and were needing to leave a couple days early. We tried to talk to the Hotel staff ahead of time but were kept being told, "I don't know. You need to talk to the manager." Needless to say, the manager wasn't scheduled to show up until the actual day we needed to leave and we ended having to pay for the days we weren't there. If the hotel staff on duty were knowledgeable and could have provided us a little bit information as to what our options were and what we needed to do, we would have at least been able to get a partial credit back. Unfortunately when we received this information, it was too late.
desk staff extremely cooperative and accommodating. all systems in room worked as expected. bedding was excellent and comfortable.
The convenience of the location
How tight the bathroom was.
