The Bacon was clean, quaint and well-appointed. Within walking distance of excellent restaurants and unique shops.
Air traffic noise
EVERYTHING..Ambience, friendliness, location
Location, ease of booking and check in. Friendly staff/ owner. Planning our next trip!
Could do a sugar-free option for breakfast ...
Morning coffee station in hallway outside our room, great Capitol Hill neighborhood, beautiful common areas in Bacon Mansion, Waking up to snow on trees outside our window was especially nice!
Well appointed converted mansion with many common rooms (library, etc.) run by attentive owner - location at north end of Broadway keeps it quiet though just minutes' walk from bustle of Broadway & Capitol Hill
Wireless access was public which even the mildly paranoid among us will flinch at
Daryl does a great job making you feel welcome. The room and bath were fantastic.

Staff was really cool. Natural fruit in the morning was great and recently made muffins taste yummi. This B&B is well located. Close to downtown and walk or take a bus.
I hit my head twice. The inclination of the roof in the last floor was meant for short people. I'm 5 foot tall and I still had problems haha
Perfect quiet clean comfortable stay in walking distance to shops & restaurants on Capitol Hill. Will stay each time we visit our son at Seattle Univ.
Overall, breakfast was fine, if a bit heavy on the sweet side. We'd appreciate options that might include toast/bagels/english muffins, or something like that alongside the sweets.
The Capital Hill location, relative to Volunteer Park the Pike Place Market, and many restaurants and shops, is great for walkers who want to get an upfront look at Seattle. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast just what we needed, along with NY Times. Accommodations comfortable and attractive.
Ability to get to various locations using public transport including downtown Great Wi-fi Cable TV for the kids at night
A fridge and microwave would be handy - if guests wished to have cool drinks during stay or keep food a little food (cheese) refrigerated
the location is in a very nice neighborhood ( Capitol Hill ). You can park the car in their driveway ( if there is room )
The carpet in the room smells and the outside is not kept clean. The breakfast is not very rich
The Bacon Mansion is a lovely building and the rooms are beautiful. It is in an excellent location for getting the bus down town which is very cheap and easy. It is also a short walk from an amazing array of restaurants. The breakfast suited me very well (although my husband prefers something a bit more egg and bacon). It also provided the opportunity to share thoughts and experiences with other guests.
This was a good location for walking to restaurants and walking the residential streets; close to a park. Breakfast was good.
We had to use a plunger when the toilet stopped up and the shower had mold in the caulking. For the money, I didn't expect that.
I was disappointed with the breakfast - was expecting a more variety.
The room was large.
The main quarters had a bad smell. When we got into the room it too had a dank smell which never went away even with the one small window open. The breakfast was served late and very scarce compared to other B&Bs we've stayed at in the past.
Great location, common areas and great food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was easy.
Charming old home, freeway close in Seattle.
Great location, beautiful surroundings, lovely room, cool mansion.
The host seemed a moody and as though he didn't enjoy his job. This made us feel a bit like we were in the way. Was missing that warmth, you usually get when staying at a B&B. Common areas were dusty/dirty and needed proper cleaning. Internet did not work properly in our room.
-stately appearance and decor -safe location -friendly, helpful owner and staff -adequate parking -comfortable rooms, home & grounds -great breakfast!
Weak WIFI in room
Location was AMAZING...one of the most beautiful neighborhoods we have ever visited. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Host was great.
The homemade muffins every morning were very nice, but I would have appreciated some version of eggs, to add some protein to my breakfast.
Living in an American stately home. The size, number and quality of the 'state' rooms that guests were allowed to use was impressive. Would certainly recommend the experience
While yogurt & granola & cereal is wonderful, for travelers who stay for several days, more variety to breakfast to change it up would be nice as a suggestion!
