right on the beach! friendly staff. great breakfast at the restaurant. Kitchenette.
sink dripped. but didnt keep me awake.
The only thing I like about this place was the location.
The hotel smelled and the elevator. The room was in need of upgrades. The bed was really bad. The only thing we liked was location.
Staff honored all my request. My room was clean with a wonderful view of the ocean and pool. Very relaxing I even added a day to my stay . Staff was very accommodating.
Main problem the under ground parking. I had a handicapped person with me . the parking was very tight underground.
They had a sign to clean dishes before leaving but didn't offer any dish detergeant
My husband and I went for an off season weekend getaway and were very happy with Bal Harbour. We had a balcony view of the beach, the room was clean, temperature comfortable, and very quiet. We ate breakfast at their Oasis cafe and it was good.
We are used to our Temperpedic mattress so I can't say for sure if the mattress was good or not. It felt firm and looked fairly new.
I loved everything about this hotel, the room was great but a little dated, it was a 2 room efficacy with a kitchenette and nice cozy living quarters and dinning area al you could see was beach and ocean great sunrise when it wasn't raining
small TV almost at ceiling, but if your there for the beach and views I guess TV doesn't matter, not enough water pressure to take a good shower
Ammenities of hotel and location on beach
The pool closes way too early.
Had to go to parking garage for ice. Yuck. Bed were awful. Pillow like a rock. All bathroom fixtures from the 70's. Location was great, nice views of the ocean. Not worth the money for this time of year. No coffee maker in room. Would not stay again
You can see the water from almost every room Cafe was nice Arcade would be great if my grand daughter was with us
Toilet paper was really cheap! Shower was clean but head was really bad.
Everything at the hotel was Fine
A dog barked nonstop from 8 at Night to 1:30 in the morning VERY DISTURBING.Staff should hace looked into it
Impossible heat in the room, AC not working, hotel not well maintained.
rugs sticky, sink clogged, toilet seat wouldn't stay up, had to beg for towels
entrance wasn't easily accesible, parking was too narrow and too low ceiling, bed creaks, tissue not provided and awful toilet paper. Coffee not provided. Towels are as old as my grandma
Great location, wonderful view from private balcony.
No shampoos, hair dryer, dish soap to clean the dirty dishes, no heat.
pool area shop easy access to beach good and pleasant staff quiet
rooms do not have safe. no coffee maker not enough toiletries (e.g. soap)
Loved the location of our room. it was clean and comfortable. The hotel just needs a little tender loving care. Air conditioning should be evaluated. The Oasis Restaurant was excellent and the personnel was extremely excellent. I would go back again.
Didn't like that there were no blow dryers in the room nor iron. Don't want to travel with my house when going away. Didn't like that the gift shop was only open a few hours and not open when needed for skin care products or gifts.
And view of the ocean
The early garbage pick up. Some times they were there by 7 a.m. and make a lot of noise for that time of day. I would suggest they come later in the day. Mid afternoon perhaps, when everyone is pretty much out of their rooms
Location not bad
Dirty and needs major updating. Elevator kept smelling like urine. Building should be condemned.
the view of the beach
no hair dryer no ironing board ice machine in garage - should be one on every floor not enough parking
The location was great and the layout of the room was just great for the two couples. The view of the pool and the ocean were excellent. I would ask for this same room again when I call for a reservation.
Like all rooms at the shore it was a bit damp and musty. Tried to use the heat to take a little of it out but the unit would not get warm. I guess it may not have been turned on the last week of September.
cleanliness size of room
dated, slightly shabby décor noisy
Great breakfast value. Great Location.
no iron and iron board. no shampoo. no hair dryer. could use an updating.
Outstanding location, awesome ocean front balcony.
Not having Queen size beds for (2) beds to a room. Not offering King size beds for (1) bed configurations. Place is OLD, and in need if renovation & updating.
Beds were very hard and had to slam sliding door to get it to lock. Although parking is close to the hotel, spots are tight and parking garage has low clearance and insufficient space.
Where do I begin? I had reservations for Friday night, I called on Wednesday when I found out I had a death in the family to make sure they knew I was going to be checking in late. Well, no one relayed to the staff on friday night. I received a call while I was leaving the wake asking if I was still coming and that there was no record of me calling for late checkin. When we finally arrived, The room I booked with Booking.com was the M4, well I was put into a smaller room called The Pirate Cove. The room left something to be desired. I was so excited to book here when I saw it on booking.com since this place had such great reviews via talk in Wildwood Crest, which I have been going to for over 31 years. The room was outdated, the toilet bowl looked like a toilet in High School, there was gum under the counter in the kitchenette on the floor, which remained there the whole 3 days we stayed. Flat screen tvs? The tvs they had there were 19" big tubed ones, up on the ceiling and the placement made your neck hurt when u tried to watch from the couch in the living room. The screen door to the balcony did not have a track, instead it slid across the carpet, which made it super hard to close. Bedroom - the bottom draw of the dresser was broke, same tv in the bedroom as was in the living room, which was pulling off the wall, it is just going to fall on someone someday, thank goodness it was not me. The mattress was like sleeping on a rock and it was a double bed, which felt like a single bed. The room also smelt. They put a sign on the door when leaving to make sure you shut off the AC/Heat before you leave the room, well...... They dont have heat, or they are not set up for heat as I was told. What Hotel books in the middle of September on the Ocean where it gets down to 50 degrees but does not have heat??
