Best centrally located for all the fun in Newport. Bed was super comfortable.
comfortable sleeping and awesome shower and shopping and bars very close by....beach was clean...will be back again
Very boutique and comfortable! Proximity to everything. Staff was very friendly and fun. Will definitely come again.
The help with car and luggage. Very very clean. Safe, bar staff was super fun, food was great as well.
My daughter has a very rare nerve dystrophy called RSD. This disease causes extreme pain from any loud or extreme heightened noises. We come to California every 8 weeks from Oregon for dr appoiments. I was raised in NPB and was excited to share a few days to relax before we went home as well as a comfortable place for her to rest during treatments. Tuesday July 22 we were awoke to loud jack hammers I mean so loud the room shook. I contacted the front desk an she explained it was an issue behind your property. Later I asked that the owner or manager call me as well as shared the issue with the kind gentleman when we checked out. I felt assured and comfortable that I would be contacted by the owner as I felt the 2 days I paid for was interrupted to the point of having take my daughter and leave early in the morning to get away from the horrible noise. I felt we should be at least contacted or compensated a bit. I am now back home and have made 3 attempts to contact the owner or manager and have heard nothing. I feel any kind if maintenance be it on the property or close when it is that extreme should warrant at least a call to all visitors with a a warning as the office knew about it even before I called down. I am sorry this happened and disapointed. It was unfortunate. I hope to try to stay again but will call before making any reservation to make sure no major constructions will be going on.
Safety was my major concern as I was traveling alone on this trip. It was wonderful and the staff treated me like a queen. The location is fantastic as you can walk to everything you need and feel completely safe. Eateries, The Balboa Fun Zone, the beach, whale trips, fishing trips, boating ... it is all their with in walking distance. I loved the Valet parking as well. Their on site restaurant had a wide variety of prices and food selections to fit the whole family. The food was excellent. The rooms were newly redone, refreshing, clean, and fun to stay in.
I think the bathrooms need a bit more shelving for us women to put our things on. The new free standing sink was beautiful, but there wasn't enough space for convenience of curling irons and make up etc when using those things.
location excellent, beach front. Walking distance to pier and arcade.
Breakfast was not to our standards
High parking fee
Rooms small no amenities
Location was Excellent, room was clean, staff was friendly
The noise from the hallway can be a little loud at times.
Location! Right off the beach! Once we park our car we walk, jog, roller blade to nice restraunts, or casual dinning. Continental breakfast is included.
The courtyard where meals are served have faded furnishings. Pool and spa are small; not a main feature. Their are two rooms right next to the ourside dining area that are small and dark. We moved from one of these rooms and payed $50 more than expected.
Location was great. Staff was so nice. When I called the front desk for towels and a second time for a hair dryer they were both delivered within 3 min. We split a family room with another couple and it was fine. Also a great little cantina bar across the street.
It's just so pricey, but that's what you get with a hotel right on the beach. Seriously.... Right by the beach
Excellent location. Very clean.
Price of vallet parking.
The staff is very accommodating, and the renovations are beautiful.
Once our room was upgraded to an oceanview room because we were initially taken advantage of and put in a below standard room by the day clerk, the room was fabulous.
being taken by the day clerk like we were idiots. We paid for an upgraded room and were put in a lower grade room on purpose. Both check-Check - in clerks lied to us about the room we booked, each telling us a different story and different lies. In the end, we prevailed with a better room then we had booked, but we're still upset for being taken advantage of. We wanted the room we booked not some musty old room being passed off as the modern room.
Location was perfect. We stayed here the night before traveling to Catalina, and the boat left literally across the street and the parking facilities were right next to the hotel so the location was amazing. Staff was friendly enough.
Breakfast was toast and juice basically and some fruit. There were stray hairs all over the bathroom and a HUGE hair ball in the shower, it was pretty gross! Tried to grab an early night around 10:30 and there was a lot of noise coming from downstairs. Not sure if it was on the premises of the hotel or just general street noise... not a problem for me but my fiance is a very light sleeper and this kept him from being to fall asleep easily.
The room 219 we stayed in Towels were dingy the shower facilities were Rusted and not working properly the shower head had a pouring flow no actual shower adjustments. Finally both the television and the bathroom sink faucet handle didn't work properly the faucet handle for the hot water could barely turn it on it was so hard to turn on lots of rest molded paint. so my point is for 200 something dollars night I understand love you is the most important but the facilities should be top of line
I loved the view of the ocean from my room and I enjoyed being in such a quaint little town. Everyone was helpful and pleasant.
I did not like the way booking.com presented the room because I was lead to believe there was a spa tub but when I got there I was told that there was not and there had n
This is a great place with a fantastic location. Walked to dinner and then drinks right across the street. Very nice secluded hot tub right outside our room door. Make sure you book the ocean view with a balcony.
Good location very close to the beach and the Balboa ferry, lots of restaurants and shops.
The floor in the room was extremely dirty. No carpet. It desperately needed to be thoroughly washed.
Location and cordiality.
Brakfast outdoor. It was very cold in the morning. Pay fot wifi. Pay for parking.
We enjoyed people watching from the balcony, proximity to shops and restaurants, luxury linens and sea breeze.
The drunken, screaming 20-something's on the street below our window at 2am. You can hardly blame the hotel though, can you? Wish the in-room spa tub had been working....
Attitude of staff jacuzzi broke no breakfast restaurant closed during the week no free bikes parking expensive
The view and location
The broken jucuzzi the spa tub in my room was broken and instead of switching my room I was told try putting a towel in the drain to stop the water that ruined my trip
