Even though the hotel is over 100 years old it is well restored and extremely clean!! The staff was friendly, and helpful.

Rooms were small and no central air.

Free internet, hot coffee/tea always available, friendly staff, and towel animals--nice touch :)

Noise from garbage pickup--couldn't leave windows open.

Nice staff and clean, bright rooms.

The bathroom broke and they would give us another room. They were difficult to deal with when it came to a mistake in paying the bill

Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was greta. % mins walk to Union square, Macys etc. #5 mins walk to Fishermans Harbour, and mins from Chinatown. Reasonably priced. A bar onsite, and tea and coffe making facilties in the rooms would have been nice!!!

Excellent location central to China Town, Transport and Shopping and close to restaurants. Room was well presented clean and tidy. Could not fault anything. Good value for the price. Would choose to stay here again.

As I stayed for six nights a refrigerator in room would have been handy.

The bath/shower was a bit risky for older guests. Should be a rail or similar to hang on to while getting in and out. And, there was nowhere to put the soap etc while showering.

Noisy on St. Patrick's day due to a huge 2day party across the street.

The location couldn't be better! Room was small but very clean and comfortable.

No tea/coffee making facilities in the room

Great location one half block to Chinatown and adjacent to Financial District and Union Square. Staff was very polite and professional. Great value for the money!

Great hotel no problem what so ever would stay again

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful to us. Alvin booked the cab for us. Crystal answered all our questions with a smile. The location is very good as it is only 3 blocks away from Market Street, and sits right next to Chinatown. Getting to and from the Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge is no hassle at all.

The heater is a bit too hot outside of the elevator, you could feel a slight heat shock coming out of the elevator before entering your room. The hotel could do better by ventilating the fresh air at least once a day. The wifi, while complimentary, was not great. The connection dropped rather too often so your Skype etc...can be very erratic.

Centrally located. I was only a minute's walk from the 3-day class I was taking. Good Japanese restaurant next door that does to-go orders.

Too noisy. Even with windows closed and seven stories up, there was way too much noise from the street. Odd tapping sound from the wall (?) my first night which also kept me awake. Old facilities; bathroom really needs to be redone with modern shower and more counter space.

The location is amazing! Walk distance to union square and many, many, many stores where you will spent your money! This is the best region on sf to go shopping and know the best restaurants. You can take the Red Tour Bus right in front the hotel. The hotel doesnt have breakfast but you have many options 2 or 3 minutes walking. All the staff is chinese and friendly. Everyday one of your towels will be folded as a different animal. Amazing!

You can't sleep with the windows open because its a noise city , noise streets but with the window closed, you can't hear nothing!

What a great hotel, wonderful staff, clean rooms, awesome location and affordable price. I will defunetly stay there again.

Our room was next to the alley so it was really noisy when the garbage truck came to get the garbage.

Hotel is ok but a bit loudly till late evening. WiFi works so so. Hotel is very clean with very nice birds and puppy on the bed. The small towels used to make this fun!

A bit strange rules for payment the room. Hotel requires 100 usd as security deposit in cash or hold on the credit card. I have 100 usd but receptionist asked me about a credit card. He swiped my card and hold full amount of stay...... I asked him about this, he told me that didn't do this. Stupid! I have presented him sms from my bank and asked him charge this amount and give me back my cash. Then came another receptionist and they finished payment together.

1.) Great Location to visit San Francisco and 2.) is the roof top view of the hotel. We see all the landmark of San Francisco which was really cool.

1.) coffee 2.) the room near street was very noisy. We stayed 301 near the elevator and street. :(

Location!!! Very close to chinatown, and union square. The room was quiet and big and have a nice view. The only problem was the room was too cold and when I told to the front desk he couldn't do anything.

Clean, nice and simple hotel that had everything we needed.
