I was in Seattle to attend a wedding at the Canal event facility. The location of this hotel was perfect for that. Also, loved being surrounded by restaurants and shops. Coffee was excellent and appreciated complimentary bottle of water. Apples and newspapers in lobby also very nice.
Room décor was dated, e.g., big chipped places of paint missing from walls; severely marred dresser top; hard to heat and maintain room temperature; no mini fridge; couldn't find soda/water anywhere in hotel.
The soaking tub was amazing
Excellent, nearyby escape. Excellent room, very quiet, very relaxing and great nearby choices for dinner and breakfast. Nice little Ballard village to walk around in. Room is excellent and also a wonderful place to come back to and relax. Wished we had more time to check out the fitness center too.
Great room Location large number of Restaurants nearby Close to many activities and landmarks
difficult to park outside, but hotel has indoor parking for a reasonable price.
The Hotel bar, the style. Ballard is for young hipsters, so the food along the strip wasn't quite my style. But if you want a casual restaurant / bar scene, it's well located.
I rated the cleanliness below others because the two wine glasses in my room were dirty. Otherwise, the linens etc. were very clean.
Love the location it's perfect for a romantic staycation with the husband to get away from the kids. It's got a wide range of places to eat at or grab a couple of drinks. The room itself was pretty upscale for being a smaller hotel and the room was luxurious with its decor. Staff was very helpful and quite easy to deal with.
Almost everything about this hotel was lovely with the exception of no breakfast. We booked because there was a fab restaurant associated with the site, restaurant truly was FAB but......
No breakfast service other than coffee. We book hotels in order to enjoy a great meal in the a.m. We never thought to inquire whether the restaurant was open for breakfast. A big disappointment and will keep us from booking here again.
Nice, clean and very welcoming staff. Great amenities. Great restaurants within walking distance. Would stay again next time. Great date night or romantic getaway location.
Nothing. I LOVED this hotel. Everything I look for and more. I didn't see a refrigerator in the room, but I'm sure they would have something available if I had asked.
The Hotel was beautiful and the staff was awesome and helpful. The Location was perfect. The Ballard Market was in full swing when we arrived. Plenty of places to eat, drink and shop within blocks, as well as some of Seattle's best outdoor stores and the local bike trail that loops around town. I true treasure.
My stay was too short, this is the perfect place for a mini getaway.
Excellent location and value.
The people....all of them from the front desk to the wait people in The Stoneburner Restaurant were exceptionally pleasant and couldn't have been more helpful. It really made the trip to see their smiles every day.
The staff was so friendly and went out of their way to make my wife and me feel comfortable. The Ballard area is alive with entertainment and interesting restaurants.
If you like night entertainment; Ballard Hotel is in the center of activity.
We had just finished up a cruise and had to get a early 3:00AM morning wakeup to fly out. The noise from the street and the wedding made it difficult to get a good night sleep.
The owners of the Ballard have paid attention to details! We were upgraded to a courtyard suite and could not have been happier with the accommodations. From the painting that greets you from behind the desk to the elegant outdoor chairs for lounging, there is an unusual and distinctive aesthetic here. The comfort is evident as well... deep two person bathtub with separate shower enclosure, bathrobes and slippers at the ready, good personal care items and a REAL LIT makeup mirror! Even the sheets were really comfortable.Heaven! The staff (specifically Tina and James) were extremely helpful and friendly. Location is outstanding as well. Great restaurants and shopping right on the few blocks surrounding the hotel.Overall the Ballard was the nicest small hotel I have ever stayed in and I would highly recommend it.
The location, the tub, the down duvet & pillows, the rooftop courtyard, the access to the state-of-art health club.
No mini bar.
The hotel and courtyard suites are gorgeous!
I did not like the pavillion area having a loud party during our stay. the attendees were loud and drunk. There should be someone monitoring the noise level for the hotel guests.
We wish we could have stayed more than one night! We will definitely return for a longer stay. It was the perfect first night on our honeymoon and the bar and restaurant were excellent!
Not downtown but a cool neighbourhood and easy to get around. Good local eating options too.
The location was perfect with lots of small shops and good restaurants. There is casual dining and elegant dining, coffee shops and quick bites within a few blocks. The rooms are very comfortable with plenty of space. The decor was very trendy. We loved their shampoo.
Great décor....not your usual hotel room. Excellent location in the heart of Ballard.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms really are amazing, beautiful decor, roof top, and an interesting layout. It was a great place to take some photographs and a comfortable spot to get ready. They provided some really nice wedding night gifts too. The bathrooms in the suite were amazing!
It was difficult to get any kind of a commitment on check-in time which is a challenge if you need to get ready. If arrival time doesn't matter to you then it is a mute point.
I liked the location very much, Ballard area is amazing and the rooms are really nice
The hotel is on a main street and it's very very noisy, the bars are open until late and the music is very loud.. Too bad for this, otherwise the hotel would be amazing if it wasn't for the noise
Charming location Friendly staff Great gym attached
Ever so slightly dated decor in the rooms
Our family stayed in two rooms. The rooms are beautifully decorated and large. We walked to most things ( movie theater, delicious restuarants, shopping ect...). Short cab rides to aquarium, zoo, downtown area and space needle. We loved that the Ballard was a small luxurious hotel in the middle of friendly town.
That we had to leave!!!
The staff were friendly. We were upgraded to a suite on the roof even though we were staying for one night. Not expected but appreciated. The Ballard neighborhood was a great place to relax.
