|Nestled among historic embassies and enchanting row homes, The Embassy Row Hotel is in the Dupont Circle district of Washington D.C.|
The hall and reception don't give you the best first impression. However, the room and bathroom is clean and there is what you need of facilities in the room.
No breakfast (besides toast and jam)
Affordable, clean, and except for sirens in street a mostly quiet place to stay. There is a bar on ground floor, convenient restaurant in basement, great selection of beers! Breakfast is OK, but a bit spartan and heavy on carbs.
Elevator has two manual spring-loaded doors that can be a problem to manage for one person with luggage. I used the stairs exclusively after one ride.
The bar/restaurant downstairs has a nice atmosphere, serves good food and a lot of different beers.
The choice of breakfast items was really small
Although when I checked in the night clerk charged me a higher rate, this was promptly corrected in the morning when the manager arrived. I also appreciated the help of Booking.com staff in making sure I had a full refund of the overcharge.
The hotel has great location to see everything that is worth to see in Washington DC. It has great bar, offering more than 1000 different types of beers from all over the world.Great and helpful personall.Free Wi-Fi.
The madrace of the bed, as well as new bed sheets can be renewed.
Budget friendly and convenient location, walkable distance to Dupont Circle metro station. Good housecleaning service. Rooms are clean and location quiet with access to supermarket. Nice bar/ restaurant in the hotel with discount for hotel guests.
wifi in room is bad. I manage by getting access in the lobby and in my business conference.
The noise level from the bar on some nights was a little much.
I was quite cheap and the bar in the basement was cosy and had good food and beer. Bathroom small but newly renovated.
Staff weren't very informative. Air conditioner/heater was very noisy and keept us a wake some of the night. Walls ultra thin which caused the room to be chilli and noise from the street was intense at times.
The heater in the room was making loud sound making it difficult to sleep.
The location is wonderful, and the price is probably the best you can find in the city.
One of the receptionists is extremely rude and impolite, but there are really nice and helpful ones. The walls are way too thin, and we could hear everything from the next door's television. They provide slippers in there, but they are worn and had lint and hair all over them.
Super comfy and nice Hotel, but- ask for a quiet Room upstairs or the Beer Bar downstairs will keep you awake + great location + Cozy Hotel + great Beer Bar
- very noisy heaters in Room
Great location, friendly desk people. We were on the 4th floor, so didn't hear any noise from downstairs bar.
Kind of a funky, one person elevator, but using the stairs is good for you! Room could have used painting ( lots of chipped paint on woodwork.
The location was good.
The wifi was very disappointing and the reception not helpful and not welcoming ...
Great location near Dupont Circle, lots of little restaurants and a market right up the street. Super clean room.
Shower head was completely clogged and water just dribbled out of it. They did come and replace it quickly but it makes me wonder why nobody complained about this before me. Daytime desk person is not so friendly, but wasn't rude.
Staff, room to small, bed not comfortable
The Barron hotel is in a great location, only a short walk to dupont circle station and a vast range of resturants and cafes. The hotel is perfect if you just need a place to sleep at night. The room is very basic, but has everything you need, minus a fridge. The bathroom is spacious, a large tv and closet to hang clothes. We enjoyed our stay here.
There was no fridge in the room, nor was there any bench space in the bathroom. Therefore you had to leave all cosmetics in the already space limited room. The bed wAsnt comfortable and heater was very hard to work! The building also has an old style lift, which is nifty but not at all practical. That is fine though, we just used the stairs and this was no worrys from the 4th floor. Would reccomend this hotel as it is in a nice, safe, area.
Location is OK. Relatively low rates make it good value for money.
Interior of rooms are basic and a bit worn. Wifi is unreliable and could most of the time not be used.
Location, location, location of this property narrowly beat out the helpful staff as the biggest asset of the hotel.
the historic but very annoying elevator doors. It was just way too difficult to manage those doors whether I was empty handed or when loading my bags by myself. Those doors were a real menace that shouldn't exist anywhere, much less a busy hotel.
Location is good, worth it if you don't need a parking lot
No parking lot, you have to pay 40$ to park overnight or take the risk to be towed from the side of the road.

Great pub inside the hotel, and guests have discounts there; great heat in the room, actually felt hot there in January; good location, close to Dupont Circle; good breakfast for 5 dollars
There are stairs at the entrance of the hotel, no ramp or help; the pressure of the shower was extremely low; no safe in room; had problems with the wi-fi on the first day.
Access to a great neighborhood and Dupont Circle. I needed some special care because my back went out, and the staff were extremely helpful. I made a last minute reservation, and the cost of this hotel made it perfect for me.
The room is small....no comfortable chair...no bedside lamp Getting my bags into the European style elevator was a challenge.
friendly staff discounts on restaurant food good shower & hot water convenient location open long hours
lift doors very heavy no luggage trolley no hotel safe missing bedside table not enough clothes storage shower room needs shelf space breakfast poor choice and too early finish
It has the feel of an older hotel one might find in eastern europe. I had a cheap room, it was clean, the bed was comfortable enough, the bathroom was spotless, and it got the job done. The staff was also very responsive and helpful.
Not much here, though my stay was short.
Room was spotless, location was great, close to Dupont circle and metro station.
Mattress was a little lumpy.
