Location and price.
staff was very gracious. The air conditioner was on when we checked in (it's 20 outside) but they immediately fixed the unit and it stayed fixed. The bathroom was very clean
We were 2 adults and this room was barely for one. There was a chair you couldn't sit on since there was no space. The bed sagged in the middle: cold came in from the windows: I heard the person in the next room snore, cough, and talk on the phone. Not a happy experience.
clean, good location, nice food at the bar/restaurant
the walls are very thin
Very friendly staff; The tavern downstairs (20+ tap beers, 600+ bottled beers); Good location.
Old elevator with a hard-to-handle door
Super staff, spectacular bar and beer selection
the nostalgia. The elevator was a true antique.
public areas were not heated, and my window unit was working poorly. It was l5 degrees outside.
The room was small but very clean and nice. For breakfast we got muffins, toasts with jam and butter, coffee and juice, it was ok for us. The bier bar is amazing.
The heating was very close to the bed, therefore very loud.
Location, shower, wifi, old school elevator, sick bar downstairs, clean
Walls/ceilings in poor shape, looks a little grimey and the place is pretty dated but clean and comfortable
staff was answering, but did not give you more attention
I loved the location and the facility of the place. Very close to Dupont Metro Station, supermarket and nice restaurants on P street. The staffs were very nice and kind, too. I feel like I got the most out of my time and money while staying here. Two thumbs up!
I can't say I liked the breakfast. I think they could do little more for $5. I stayed from Friday night and it was bit noisy on the weekends. Other than that, I was very happy I stayed here.
Pros: Great location, minutes away from the Dupont Circle station. Cheaper than major chains.
Cons: The hotel had a very noisy bar. When I arrived in the morning, the elevator was not working (it would keep being so for several days). So the staff placed me on the 1st floor, without informing me about the bar. At first I thought it was a convenient decision, but then the noise of the bar would keep going till about 1am. What's worse was the staff's attitude in handling my complaint. At one night, when I went to bed at 11:30pm, hoping to get a good night sleep for the next day's conference, I couldn't bear the noise. So I went to ask the staff whether he could do something about the noise. The staff didn't even look up from his desk. He simply told me that they were winding down and would stop at 12:00pm. But of course, the noise didn't stop for another 90 minutes. I was more than enraged. The beds' quality was also pretty poor. My bed wasn't even... Moreover, the hotel didn't have a proper luggage room. When I arrived, I asked to store my luggage in the hotel in the morning and then came back to check in at night. The staff simply told me to put my luggage behind the staircase, outside of his counter. Fair enough, it was within his sight. But since I didn't think he would stay at the counter for 8 hours straight, I didn't feel safe enough to leave my bagpack there.
The location is great. Very close to subway station. Very clean. Friendly staff.
Breakfast was very unpretentious. We missed eggs and fruit.
I really liked the cleaning and localization. The hotel is so simple but clean, comfortable and near so many stores and metro station.
There were some noise at night because it is also a Bar/Taverna.
Available at short notice
Cold. Poor wifi. No soap. No extra blanket. Horrible water pressure in shower.
cheap, good attendent servce, clean, very close to MRT
Elevator is wrost.
Staff are very personable. Location is excellent, close to DuPont Circle Metro. Great value for expensive DC
Bed was hard. WiFi was very poor. Breakfast was cheap, but not very good.
great location, friendly staff
rooms were on top of nightclub. when changed got smaller bed, but no discount. We even said what bout a few free beers from the hotel bar (which doesn't cost them anything) but these things were just not possible. If you fuck up, be extra nice to your guest I think should be common courtesy in the service industry
The bar has good beers.
We had made a reservation for two people and my friend even had a copy of the reservation with him, with his name on it. He arrived in the morning in the hotel, while I would arrive in the evening. Yet, the hotel staff did not let him into his room until I arrived 5 hours later, while he was completely soaked due to the rain. This was a very unfortunate start of our stay in the hotel. Also the other staff members were not so friendly to us.
25 minutes walking to downtown
too much noise at night, there are some pubs under the hotel.the heater/cooler makes a horrible a noise. No parking near...if you go by car on weekend the hotel staff tell you park in P ST, 15 MIN walking to hotel if you know well the neighborhood
Location and the bar at the hotel is so nice.
Breakfast has to get better with higher price.
Too expensive for the type of room.
Comfortable, safe, clean and well located.
The location of the breakfast, depressing place.
Wifi very poor! Staff fair, rooms stuffy and cramped. Overpriced. Location the only redeeming feature.
My 3 day stay was very enjoyable at The Baron Hotel. Good location for me. I had a personal problem which the staff resolved very quickly. I rate their service very highly.
