One female member of staff not interested, but gentleman was very helpful.

Dwight at front desk was very helpful . he wa professional. Dwight was has great customer service skills. I wil come back to the Baron for pleasure or business. Because of Dwight customers service ski lls. I didn't mind the band playing at night.

May be some pre cook bacon or meat that you can put in microvave for 45 seceonds

The rooms were clean and had just enough space to be convenient. The hotel is just a walking distance away from the Dupont Circle and Subway in the center of town. The food in the downstairs pub was good too.

There was some construction going on at the time but only during the day when we were out of the hotel anyway.

The bar downstairs was a winner. One of the top 10 award winners. Within walking distance to public transport, restaurants, cafe and convince stores. Staff very helpful and friendly. Homely stay. Would come back.

The elevator was out of service and we had to carry our bags up to the fourth floor. Hubby had to stagger up after trying the 600 beers on offer in the awesome pub that rocked his world.

An unbeatable location a block away from Embassy Row and round the corner from The Phillips Collection, The Society of the Cincinnati and other amazing, quirky Dupont Circle sights. The staff are friendly, the rooms basic but comfortable and clean. Mainly, this is a great location and even better for the price. Instead of going to the in-house bar, I recommend travelling one block to Pizzeria Paradiso for the best beer list in the DC area.

Wear ear-plugs in summer - collective noise of a/c units can be a problem. Make sure you have a strong pair of arms to lift suitcases - elevators weren't working and the front desk is several steps up from sidewalk.

Good location at an affordable price

Staff neglected to give me a wake up call to catch my flight, resulting in my missing my flight.

My expectations were exceeded in all respects. A carpet cleaning is all that is needed to match the quality of the staff and accommodation. The housekeepers deserve special praise.

The location is great,quiet neighborhood fairly close to all the sightseeings.the downstairs bar was fun too.the room and beds are small but we were only staying the night so it worked out.room and bathroom were clean,we would definitely stay again.

The area where it was located was a nice area for walking and enjoying some good food close by. The Baron's burgers and selection of beer were really good.

It was a bit noisy at night because of the tavern but I was so tired I fell asleep quickly anyway.

The location, at Dupont Circle, was very good, with lots of eateries nearby, and most of the must-see spots were within walking distance. Of course, one needs to be able to walk about 10 km a day to see all the spots.

The breakfast, at $ 5 per person, for those staying at the hotel, was pathetic, with hardly anything worth eating. The breakfast room, sporting a huge hangover from the previous night's parties, is dark, dingy, and quite miserable. It is actually part of a bar, that becomes a breakfast room by morning! Our room was close to the bar, and the noise from it disturbed us throughout the night.

It was close to the sights we wanted to see and to the Metro.

The room was dingy and it was right next to the entrance and the restaurant and was noisy until about 1:00 am. Staff was not that friendly.

The staff was very supportive.

They gave me room in the 4th floor, and the building had no elevator. So I had to carry all my havy bagages to the 4th floor on my own.

Convenient location

Where do we start? When we arrived there was an extremely loud grunge band playing in the restaurant. It was difficult to even have a conversation in the lobby. We had reserved two rooms, one with a queen (for my BF and I) and one with two single beds (for my mother and my son), but they didn't have any rooms left with two beds. My mother is elderly and uses a wheelchair, and upon arrival we discovered that the elevator was out of service and our rooms were on the 4th floor. There was no bell hop service, nor did anyone offer to help carry our luggage to our rooms. The rooms were very small and there was no closet, dresser, or even a hook to hang things on. To make matters even worse, the room was infested with ants which needed to be sprayed by hotel staff periodically throughout our stay. We barely slept the three nights we were there due to the rock-hard mattress and sirens blaring all night long. The alarm clock was broken, but we didn't need it because we were awoken by the sound of the workers scraping paint immediately outside of our window at 7am. It took 10-15 minutes (no exaggeration) to get warm water (not hot) in the shower. The continental breakfast consisted of cereal, bread and pastries which they wanted to charge us $5/each for. The hotel staff was generally unaccommodating and on occasion, rude. We were never offered any concessions or apology for all of the inconvenience and inferior service. You've been warned! Stay away!

Location. The bed. The room was thoroughly cleaned.

The breakfast pastries but the whole breakfast was only $5. The elevator did not work.

I liked: the value, that there were not add-ons, like for Wi-Fi, the friendliness of the staff, the simple included breakfast, and the general feel of a European hotel, in fact, a majority of the guests seemed European.

The decor, while charming, felt a bit "worn", and not well considered, our room had 3 framed pictures hanging, all the same photograph(huh?), there were multiple loose and missing tiles in the bathroom floor, and the elevator seem out of order for a long time.

The location was great, a block from Dupont Circle and across from a park. Lots of free on-street parking. Lots of good restaurant's within two blocks. Bar/restaurant in lower level for food and drinks is convenient for evening entertainment. Free wifi.

Rooms are dated but large. The bar in the lower level is very popular so there were lots of restaurant patrons in front of the hotel in the evening.

Very quaint, European like. Had charm.

Too bad elevator didn't work (4th flr.) breakfast wasn't worth it... had I known would not of wasted money.
