The pool table and hot tub were great
I wish they served dinner also
Our stay at Batchellor Mansion Inn was, without exception, one of the finest inn experiences my husband and I have ever enjoyed. From the moment of our arrival, we were treated to top-notch service and hospitality. Fresh-from-the-oven cookies delivered to our room, a luxurious hot tub, a wonderfully cozy bed, and even a full-sized pool table right in our room... it just couldn't have been any better. Can't wait to return!!
This was a refreshing change from staying in a large "name brand" hotel. Truly immaculate & very spacious accommodations. I highly recommend this beautifully maintained Bed & Breakfast for a relaxing change of pace.! Extremely comfortable bed-just an overall pleasure to step back in time yet enjoy all the amenities that one could seek. Breakfast was delicious!
The staff was wonderful. The building was beautiful and rich with history. The room was comfortable and quiet. Within walking distance of shops and restaraunts. Very lovely!
1.Our room was large, architecurally lovely and beautifully decorated. 2.Common areas were ample, well appointed, comfortable, architecturally interesting. Innkeeper was knowledgable about property history and provided a descriptive tour. Property was clean
1.We had to bring suitcases upstairs ourselves-no elevator or attendant service. 2.Registration at hotel was awkward with innkeeper sitting behind desk in his office as we stood in front of his desk; only one chair available. 3.Although we greatly appreciated innkeepers historical tour, it would have been more enjoyable to have been first shown to our room and given help with luggage rather than having launched into the property tour before removing coats, visiting washroom, or seeing our room. 4.Shower was adequate only. 5.Inn is located near several chain hotels a fact that we found to detract from its setting.
Full of oldfashioned luxury, charm and genuinely welcoming staff. Great value, awesome breakfast cooked to order, perfect location. Fantastic, we really loved staying. Thanks to staff Kate, Matt and Chelsea.
Batcheller Mansion is an incredibly beautifully kept inn, the architectural details, decor and layout wowed us when we first saw it on the street. And upon entering the common areas and our room, we were amazed that we got to experience such a magnificent place.
One of the reasons we love to go to B&B's is to meet the innkeepers and have experience unforgettable breakfasts (and other personal touches such as teas, home made cookies or snacks for afternoon or late night munchies). Never met the owners (though the staff were very friendly) and the breakfast reminded me of a Marriott breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet included Yoplait yogurt, single serving packaged cereals and the fresh fruit were whole apples and bananas. To their credit, they did prepare a fruit salad for me for the flavored yogurt (there was melon in the kitchen- which is an amazing room!). There were no pastries - just bagels, English muffins and bread which you can toast in the old-fashioned toaster on the buffet table. In short, the breakfast was not on par (or even close) to the spectacular setting. A disappointment.
Loved the integrity of the magnificent building. Beautiful restoration work. Very nice staff. Spacious room. Great comfortable bed. Bathroom was to die....huge jet tub, lovely shower. Clean. Not one complaint. Will visit again.
We did not dislike anything.
The gorgeous mansion itself, and the wonderful, friendly staff who made us feel at home.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff catered to every guest with made-to-order items. Staff was always available and eager to provide activity & dining advice. They were interested in what we did during our stay. Rooms were comfortable.
Bathroom could use some minor sprucing up. It was clean, but shows some signs that it's time to redo a few things, especially the shower.
Breakfast very nice, location was great, can walk to downtown in five minutes. Restoration and gallery was great.
Be nice if they had an elevator, king beds, and a stronger flushing toilet
quiet, beautifully furnished, excellent breakfast, interesting history, little extras like iced tea and cookies
lots of stairs and no elevator so it is difficult if you have mobility problems
beautiful mansion, staff was superb
room was too small - instant oatmeal (when asked in advance for oatmeal); asked for fresh fruit also; cookies and scones weren't too appealing/better breakfast perhaps cinnamon rolls or sticky buns
Our stay was so special and we will never forget it. It was my girlfriend and I was three-year anniversary and we walk to downtown Saratoga and slept like logs in our incredibly comfortable bed with fresh linens in cold air conditioning. We will never forget the stay here- from the evening welcome to the breakfast the next morning we had an amazing time. A treasure in Saratoga.
Expensive but worth it !
I was returning to Buffalo from Boston and decided at the last minute to stay over at Saratoga. The price and the location of the Mansion Inn was perfect. Only when I got to the Inn did I realize how lucky I was to have such an enchanting place to stay. All elements of the Inn were more than I expected.
The beauty of the Mansion. Something to see! The fact that you could walk to many highlights.
Public spaces were beautiful, staff was very friendly and attentive.
Mattress was old and sank in the middle, refrigerator was noisey.
the mansion was like going back in time. The nicest we have ever stayed in. The staff were genuinely interested in making our stay enjoyable. We were given a menued breakfast that was freshly prepared. This is our new favorite accommodation in Saratoga Springs.
AC/loud. A stretch of the legs to down town
Location and staying in mansion
The preservation of a bygone era, with the subtle amenities of modern living.
This is the best place to stay in downtown. Can't believe it's taken me years to go there - what a treat!
Antique house and historic feel with all the comforts of home.
It was an easy walk to the main street area and the park.
Bathroom tiles needed regrouting.
Climate control in the room
Everything from the level of detail in the architecture to the minute touches of warm chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon
Water pressure in the shower
