눉Do you like getting ripped off? Hidden fees for parking? Literally the
worst hotel experience I've ever had. We booked online as it was one
of the cheaper options and therefore, weren't expecting much, just
wanted somewhere to sleep that wasn't a car. Realistically we would
have had a better sleep in the car. Can we blame the hotel for noisy
guests at 2am? Not really, cheaper prices hotels are always going to
attract unsavoury characters. What we can blame the hotel for is the non
functioning light/fan switch in the bedroom, which decided to turn
on and off whenever it wanted during the night, resulting in more or
less no sleep.
The following morning we went to enquire about leaving one day early, due to terrible conditions (well before checkout time). We didn't want a refund on the night we stayed there because to be fair, we did stay the night. We just wanted to move on. The girl working there said she'd ask to have the second nights bill refunded, but couldn't authorise as she wasn't a manager. Completely fair in our eyes. Gave them my number and they said they'd call at 3pm to let me know the outcome.
I had to call them that night, the following night AND the night after that, each time getting hand balled. I finally got called back on the fourth day by the manager, who bluntly told me I wasn't getting refunded as I could have changed room. Upon telling her I would have to give her a bad review she simply said "that's fine you can do what you want". Oh and here's the kicker, you get charged $10 a day for the parking area...I didn't even get refunded the $10 for the second day I WAS NOT THERE!!!
Seriously, absolute joke of an establishment. We've been travelling for 3 months and this in hands down the worst experience we've had, there were better standards in Mexico and Cuba.
