The guy in the front desk, Rob, was very helpful and friendly.
The staff was very friendly and the location is perfect for walking to the beach. I plan on staying here when I come back.
Everything but (see What you didn't like)
The room at the backside of the motel ... you are facing a wall when looking outside the window.
We enjoyed the close location at an awesome rate! It was Better than expected, the service is aimed to please;)
The hotel was very close to the beach. The room was small but the beds were very comfortable! The pool was warm and perfect for splashing around.
The breakfast needs more protein options. The floor in the room was sandy and gritty but its a beach vacation so I guess that's expected.
BED WAS COMFY LOCATION GOOD WAFFLES
PARKING ..WAS A MESS NOT ENOUGH BREAKFAST ITEMS ONLY ONE JUICE. IF THEY'RE SERVING DRY CEREAL THEY NEED TO BE COVERED WITH LID OR UNDER SNEEZE GUARD MORE SEATING NEEDED
Great location and amenities! Loved the in room keurig machines and great smelling soaps. Bed was very comfy and the tv and cable packages were good
Not enlighten parking for everyone in the lot when at capacity. One of the staff members we interacted with was very flustered and having a hard time dealing with a rush.
Proximity to beach and downtown..
Noisy parking lot.
It was clean and nice looking
Beds were very very uncomfortable, breakfast was just okay. A few more options would have been better. Vary over priced
closeness to the warf..within walking distance..no paying for parking while there... although parking was tight. the pool area was nice.
Room was not ready at 5pm when check-in began at 3pm,after driving 2 hrs to get there after work. Continental breakfast was very crowded to get to and the morning staff seemed uncaring about refilling the products as they were emptied... If I did not ask both days ,he did not refill and there were still patrons coming in... before 10 am. The room was not as clean as it could have been had I not already paid for 2 nights on-line booking we could have paid the same or less for just as good accomadations. 600.00 for 2 nights was too...Much for those conditions. The neighbors were very loud after midnight...
Location Room size Free breakfast
Location, room was comfortable
Too close to the pool and a lot of little kids screaming all day
Very clean and had hardwood floors. We were traveling with a 1 year old and the staff was very accounting and gave us a more spacious room without us asking. A very easy walk to the beach. Well stay her agsin.
staff was courteous, housekeeping staff great. Good to have a fridge.
$10/day for parking (seriously?) & there was never any in the lot! They pd for street parking if in sight of hotel. None available the 1st night. Had to park down the street, around the corner & hope the car was still there in the am. Had to get up at o dark hundred to feed that meter. Rm was small, shower was dank & small. Not even 2 luggage racks. Lobby was small & very limited choices for brkfst (really at those prices?) No meat or eggs. It was so bad, we will probably not return to SC. I don't think you can use this example on your commercials.
Close to downtown
If you go through book.com the bay front inn will hit you with parking fees and others, and the hotel sucks for parking
The location was just a short 2 blocks from the beach, without the noise. And not much more to the downtown area for restaurants and shopping, Grounds were well kept and the room was clean and adequate. Only one chair so not the best for a couple who wanted to relax after a day of fun,
Drivers beware! $10 per night and you better get there early or you wont have a parking space and if you do, you will be wedged in by morning. With cars crammed in like sardines in a can (no exaggeration) God forbid you have a medical emergency. You better carry yourself to the curb so the ambulance can take you away! The property does not have enough parking spaces for the amount of rooms they offer so you may or may not be able to leave when you want to.
Good continental breakfast, the room was quiet and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.
The staff was wonderful and it was within walking distance to the beach. This is a great family hotel and the kids loved the pool. Our room was very clean.
The only negative was that my husband thought the internet was a little slow, but the staff actually checked the connection from our area of the hotel and gave us another connection to try.
My kids liked the bikes. The hotel has bikes that are free to use for one hour. After that, bike usage is ten dollars an hour. The breakfast was ok; I had granola, a yoplait yogurt, and a banana, which was perfectly fine with me. Our room was freshly painted and clean. Room was pricey, but so was every other place I researched. We went during the height of summer, and that's just how it is. I liked being in walking distance to beach and boardwalk. Didn't have to use the car!
We went to Santa Cruz for July 4th weekend and liked the hotel being close to the Boardwalk and Downtown, and no fee to use cruiser bikes; the breakfast included cereal, yoplait yogurts, waffles, pastries, juice and coffee and staff continuously refilled supplies so guests that are not "morning" people could enjoy breakfast instead of being stuck with only muffins and coffee.
We were in the back of the hotel, althought very quiet, it felt like we were in an alley. The hotel was full or would have requested a front room.
The location was within walking distance to the Wharf and the Boardwalk. The Beds were comfortable. Room was clean and somewhat updated. Complimentary breakfast was fine.Front desk staff was helpful and friendly.
The room smelled cleaning supplies when we walked in. Had to air it out. Parking was a mess. Not enough spaces for guests. Housecleaning tried to enter even with the DND sign.
No parking and charging for it. Rooms smelled and too small. No outlets to charge phones. No closet. Fan in bathroom was wired to light and outlet so you couldn't charge anything without the fan and light on. Had to unplug lamp to charge phone. Night stand was almost falling off wall. Holes in the wall. Paint chipped on door.
Staff was excellent and the location was great. Just a 10 min walk to the wharf. Beds were comfortable and rooms clean .
Parking was a little tight.
Not much, the room was clean and that was about it.
Number one their pictures lie about the size of the rooms. The walls are paper thin, the night clerk had no idea what he was doing and the morning clerk was lost also. I gave them a message to give to the manager, and while it's was written down, both times, the manager never got it. And then when I was finally contacted the manager lied to booking.com and to me about the situation, and I was charged for two days when I was there less then 16 hours. The last point like think should be made very clear there is not enough parking for everyone that was staying there. People were parking in the driving lanes, and non handicapped people were parking in handicapped zones because the parking lot was fill to over flowing. The Bay Front Inn's name suggests they are on the bay, when in thueth, it is several miles from the ocean. Another lie. I will never stay there again, nor would I recommend it to my worse enemy, let alone my friends.
Location was great!
All the extra fees. $518 turned into $660...
