Room was clean and night clerk friendly.

Street traffic noise. Young adults where partying in adjacent beach house until 3:30 am

Warm treatment, as you would be guest to one of your best friends! Staff is so friendly and cheerful, welcoming you with a big smile and a bunch of freshly baked cookies. The rooms and common spaces are gorgeous to the details. The breakfast is excellent.

Maybe the price, but worth paying it!

Comfy, cute updated rooms. Wonderful bed....very clean conditions. Newspaper every morning. Great chocolate chip cookies baked fresh every day. A fresh fruit bowl in your room. Great patio for relaxing and viewing the ocean. Choice of movies for free! Adequate breakfast. Roll out the front door, cross the street, walk a short distance and you are at the beach...they offer free towels, chairs, bogey boards and other beach equipment to use at the beach. Wonderful staff....friendly and very accommodating. We loved our stay!

The roof top view was excellent. The people working there were helpful and happy. Breakfast and coffee were the best. Fresh flowers in bathroom and at breakfast! Parking was close and secure. Very clean rooms!!

I did not mind paying 10.00 for parking, but, I did not like paying 10.00 more for (taxes?) I was not told about. No screens on windows, so, could not leave open.

It was a very sweet little property that goes out of its way to make up for size and age with attention to detail, cleanliness, comfort and personability. Loved the welcome note on our pillow on arrival; the turn-down service every evening with a mint on each pillow; the relaxing spa music that greeted us back to our room each evening after a day at the beach; the beach toys on loan; the use of a wide library of DVD's; and - a good way to the heart of my husband - the free cookies. (The free parking and free breakfast really sealed the deal.)

We have stayed there many times over the years. It has always been a place of homeliness and friendship. And! it still is!

The location is amazing. Could walk anywhere for great food or entertainment. Will be in the area again next year at this time and will book my entire stay here. Staff is friendly and gave great recommendations for food and where to go for a run.

Friendly welcoming staff,great location, close to beach,excellent service,very clean.a real pleasure to stay there.Would definitely go again for a carefree relaxing break..Like a home-from-home but in the sunshine!It is as good as it all looks on the web,which is n ot always the case.Unless you want a large multi-national hotel away from the ocean THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY .Don't look elsewhere.

The hotel was very clean and the friendless of the staff was excellent! Every evening we had our pillows taken off the beds and covers pulled back ready to jump in and chocolates left on our pillows...such a simple touch but very nice! The breakfast availability was excellent, we were able to use the kitchen to make tea and coffee whatever time of the day we liked and in the afternoon, cookies were served, which were awesome :)! The location of the hotel was perfect, all you had to do was cross the road to the beach. During our stay over the past two weeks in the USA...we have stayed in six different hotels in different parts of California and this hotel by far, has definitely been one to remember :)!!

There was nothing we didn't like or could fault....would recommend the hotel to anyone and we will definitely be returning!

Love the location, the friendly staff, the continental breakfast and cookies in the afternoon. Walk to the beach and Newport Pier!

The hotel staff is very friendly, always helpful with a smile. The "open kitchen/breakfast room" was really nice, feels like being at home. The rooms are VERY clean. The hotel is ideally located, close to the beach and many small restaurants and bars. We enjoyed our 4-day stay at this hotel a lot.

the WIFI signal is very weak at moments

Location of the hotel to the beach. We loved the ocean from our window and the panoramic view of the ocean and bay from the rooftop desk was unbelievable. We will be back.

The staff is great, place is homely, and love how they provide breakfast.

The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful--gave us a complete tour of everything as we checked in. The other staff people were also very nice. I liked the location because it was close to the beach and our favorite restaurants.

Loved the partial ocean front room; could open the wall of windows and get the fresh beach air. Loved it! The roof top deck with 360 degree views of the ocean and bay made a perfect happy hour venue with family; bring your own wine and cheese it's perfect and free!
