It was clean and basic and just what I needed.
Not even a box of tissues!
it was close to the airport and after a 17 hr journey it was an ideal place to rest up overnight.
Could not sleep with the noisy aircon unit on and was to hot without it. Also would have been nice to have some coffee making facilities and maybe a light breakfast facility.
The worst hotel in the world
Room was Very Small (King bed); there is maybe 2 feet clearance between the bed and the walls - all the way around. Bed itself is quite uncomfortable - I was curious so I lifted up the sheet and found that the matress is exactly 3 inches thick and that includes the light padding over the metal coil springs. Under the 'mattress' is an elevated box spring that is just an inflexible platform. If you like sleeping on the floor, you'll love this bed. Otherwise, look elsewhere. The property is quite convenient to BART and CalTrain, but its not the nicest neighorhood (between a car repair place and a tattoo parlor). We won't be back.
Friendly place, nice room. Will stay there again.
Proximity to the airport, and easy access to highway.
Very noisy because of aero plane passing overhead even after midnight.
The receptionist offered to schedule a cab to pick us up and take us to SFO to catch our flight. We took her up on her offer and she confirmed a taxi would "knock on our door" in the morning when it arrived. The next morning, we woke and we ready for our taxi to arrive at 4:30am. No taxi. We went to the office, no one was there. We waited 15 more minutes for the cab to show. Nothing, but a nice German couple came out to wait for their cab to the airport and agreed to share with us. Ten minutes later, their cab hasn't arrived either. We tried calling three separate cab companies to pick us up, but not one answered. We were out of options, so as a last resort we started walking. The long-term parking lot was a mile and a half away and we figured we could catch the shuttle to the airport from there. A mile down the road, we realize that in order to get to the parking lot we would have to walk over the eight-lane highway in our path. Feeling hopeless, we ran to catch a city bus which was stopping across the street. The magnificent driver informed us that the airport was his next stop and that the next bus would have been in another hour. Our German friends would have missed their 5:45am flight completely and we would have been sprinting to catch ours. That bus was a beacon of hope after the morning of hell caused by an incompetent receptionist.
There was nothing that I liked about this hotel.
Check-in: small area to check in and clerk protected by bullet proof glass. Room was not ready. I registered on line and advised I would arrive between 2 - 3 PM. Clerk advised not ready and then pulled out paper which said my check in time was reported for 7PM. I got a room at 3:40PM. Room had dirty carpet, had a cigarette burn/hole in bed spread and in blanket in a different location. I was reluctant to walk on carpet in bare feet. No air conditioning Extremely small room Cheap and small bathroom accessories: soap, shampoo Not enough towels wash cloths for two people. Also very thing To sum this visit up: worst hotel experience I have ever encountered. I don't think the hotel was represented properly online. Bad hotel!
It is a great value for the money. For those laying over at SFO not going to find a much better value. Not a 4-Star hotel but has Micro/Ice box/Internet (very good) and Cable TV with more channels than a person could ever view....and clean.
Did not expect the Bayhill to be as nice as it turned out... really nothing really sticks out as a negative.
The carpets were filthy. The towels were awful. The room smelled like smoke. Traffic and aircraft noise extreme. The owner walks into the rooms with a cigarette in his mouth while inspecting them!
there were vacancies within days of check-in. Convenient location near shopping, restaurants, BART and freeway on-ramp
I found out why there were vacancies. Springs in bed uncomfortable. There had recently been a smoker in my "no smoking room". Street noise was loud at times.

Undesirables wandering around streets outside property
My gf woke up with several large red bites on her face and shoulders. Bed bugs or spiders, either way, it sucks. No refund offered when we told front desk
The room was impeccably clean! I tried find anything that wasn't clean or was broken but couldn't find a single thing wrong. Decent location.
Would have liked there to be a coffee maker. Aside from this "short-coming" the Bayhill is an excellent value.
Being close to the airport
Sleeping on mattress that should be replace, furnisher that could be upgraded, overall, fair..........
They don't provide an airport shuttle as they promise on booking.com
The staff was friendly and helpful with the baggage and accommocating to get me a first floor room.
The low flow toilet was noisey.
Location near airport is great while you have car. Many taxis never heard of Bayhill and found it hard to find.
Staff is one part-time clerk behind bullet proof glass.
The rooms were too small, dirty, old, toilet didn't work, TV didn't work at times, shampoo/conditioner is a laugh, mattress sank in to box springs on one side, attendant was inattentive like I was a bother to be there, all in all....my stay there was terrible and I will NEVER stay there again!
Hmmm...this could take quite a while to think of a single thing I liked because I disliked so much so intensely...I was angry!
I'm not a fan of dirty towels & linens, nor stopped up drains, nor lumpy mattresses, nor AC FILTERS clogged with dust, nor being without hot water for morning shower.
Very close to the airport and BART-station San Bruno. I booked this for one night after a very long flight from Finland and it did the job just as planned. Very clean, good Wifi, easy to find, big mall and food joints nearby. Lots of parking space if you arrive by car. Reasonably priced. All in all a good basic motel.
Close proximity to airport causes inevitably lots of aircraft sounds. It´s up to you if you find it disturbing. Anyway sfo is pretty quiet during nighttime.
Bay hill inn never got the invoice from when i booked the room on the web and used my card so i payed cash ? Good thing the hotel was not full The room heater looked nasty and the room smelled bad I would not stay there again
The reception clerk was very nice; making checking in early possible.
My husband was very disappointed that there was no coffee available, no a.m. newspaper. The room was very small, but suited my needs for one night. Would not stay again due to no conveniences as stated above. Sorry!
Was easy to get to and outside of the craziness of San Francisco. Easy access to SFO.
Room didn't have a desk. Parking was limited and had to park on the street one night.
I needed a cheap place to crash for a few days while I was in the Bay area, and this place had everything that I needed.
