rooms very clean
that it didnt have a microwave and refrigerator
I mainly liked that the Motel was very affordable and on the other hand close to our family. I also liked that every time we went back to the room it was neatly cleaned. They really made my stay comfortable and caring.
My next door neighbors. In the middle of the night i could hear them yelling, arguing loud and in the morning the police was there and took someone.
The room was clean, bed was comfortable. Vent fan for the bathroom was nice.
The sidewalks are coated in a latex paint and the weekend I stayed it was raining so the sidewalk became so slippery I could barely walk on it. I stayed on the upper level as well and the walkways are slanted down towards the (flimsy) railing and the upper floors being coated in that same paint I slipped and fell into that railing holding most of my baggage. needless to say I won't be back.
Booked a room..went to work got off at 2am and was unable to get n room..money wasn't refunded!! I did not damage room..was at work from 10am till 2am
Bed was amazing hardwood floors very clean very cool very modern look right next to the denny's (yum yum) nice flat screen cool staff lots of towels, overall we had a great stay
Everything was great
No shampoo, no clock
The rooms were clean and modern. The outside doesn't do the place any justice. Beds were up to modern day standards. Security on site.
We were in the back of this location and there were people being loud all night. In and out of rooms. Sitting outside until 1 in the morning.
Staff is great!
I did not like when I came back to the room around 9PM from work 10/20/2014 and my room was not cleaned that morning. There were no do not disturbs signs on the door. No one could give me an reason why the room was not clean. I paid for two more nights and this is the kind of service I get from Motel 6. I did not like the first one because of customer service now this. My room not cleaned. So tell me how can I be accomindated for this mistake? Beds were not made, no fresh towels, and the trash was still in the room.
I liked the style they were going for in the room.
They executed the style in the room poorly and it felt cheap. There were also lots of bugs in the room, noise outside, and it was in a sketchy area.
Drug deals and prostituion in parking lot. No chairs in rooms. Some insect problems.
Nasty dirty tub. Hardwood floors dirty...never been mopped.
The shower leaked all night -- soaked the bathroom, bugs (crickets and green bugs) were in the room, the neighboring guests were partying and smoking, there was a dog barking all night in the room next door, and guests partying until 4am, I could not sleep, I felt unsafe, I was put in a back side room with poor outdoor lighting, and shady people walking around and hanging out in front of my room on the balcony all night, staff did not solve the situation, was very rude to me, insulted me, I complained to him 3 times about the guests smoking in front of my room, partying next door and dog barking, and each time he told me that Security was there and that Security told him this was not happening, told me I could leave the hotel but would not get refunded, then he later on called me in the room and said that Security actually did see guests making a lot of noise and told me I could get 50% of the night refunded, yet he didn't tell me Security was going to do anything about it -- I was not even concerned with the money, I was concerned with my safety. I did not sleep that night, nor will I ever stay or recommend that anyone stays at any motel 6 ever again.
They were prompt in giving me my refund
This hotel is nothing what they advertised. I made special request for handicapped access, they said that Booking never passed it along (I called too). They also charged me $35 more at check in than what they promised online. I was expecting a newly remodeled room. We got puke stained carpets, torn bedding, blood stained mattresses, cockroaches milling about, heavy smoking smells, and moldy bed sheets. It was beyond nasty. I had reported them to the health department.
That turned out to be the worst experience that I’ve ever had in a hotel. For starters, when I booked the place it was called the Baymont Inn, and it seemed nice on pics. They were charging me about $700 for 9 days, which seemed reasonable. When I got there, the name had changed to a Motel 6 (but Booking.com never warned me), and it was a complete mess. I had tried to request an early check in and they denied it, and they even said they couldn't store my bags. I had to pay an extra night so I would have a place to put my bags. But surprise: The price was without city taxes, so the whole thing ended up adding to almost $1,100, which is not okay for that kind of hotel. When I got there, their credit card machine didn’t work, which resulted in me having to pay for part of my stay in debit. They put in the first floor and there were people walking and laughing in front of my room door until 3AM on my first night there, their air conditioner kept turning on and off in the middle of the night, scaring and bothering me with the noise, there was hair in the sink and in the bed, proving that the room hadn’t been cleaned properly before I got there, and I found 3 spiders in just one day. One day in that hotel and I knew I couldn’t stand it anymore, so I asked for a partial refund, which they gave me, and went to a nicer hotel across the street. Now, I’m looking at my credit card statement and guess what? They charged an extra $137 when I left, without me authorizing that transaction, because I had already paid about $400 in debit (they gave me a refund of about $200). I’m not a very demanding person as for comfort, I usually book cheap hotels and I’ve stayed in many hostels and bed and breakfasts in my life. But, honestly, I had never stayed in a worse hotel than that.
We come to Austin every year during March for the UIL HIgh School Boys' State Basketball Tournament. We stayed at this same location the previous two years but it was a Baymont Inn & Suites at that time. Unfortunately, this place has really deteriorated in one year's time since it has come under the Motel 6 umbrella. First of all, I didn't appreciate the fact that I made my reservations in the fall of 2013 but when I arrived on March 5, 2014 all the front rooms had been given out to people who hadn't made reservations in advance. The only rooms left were either upstairs or on the very back. We were assigned a smoking room (wanted nonsmoking) on the very back which is not a good place to be. The TV didn't work and we went to the front desk and were given keys to another room which was filthy with a very dirty and horribly stained carpet and a dirty bathroom floor. It appeared the carpet had not been cleaned in quite a while. This room had only one set of towels when we arrived. We had to wait until 11:30 p.m. to get clean towels and we had to walk or drive around to the office to get clean towels (we had to do this our entire day.) I complained and asked for another room but was told that all the rooms were filled. The clerk at the front desk said she would have us a nicer room the next day and for us to take our things with us when we left the next morning so our present room could be cleaned as well. Unfortunately, after we returned the next night after being gone from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m., we had not been given another room and our current room had not been seviced. The beds were unmade, the small trash can hadn't been emptied, the dirty towels were still on the bathroom floor and hadn't been replaced with clean towels. Complaining is a waste of time. This Motel 6 shouldn't be allowed to operate. There was only one staff person on duty at any given time during our entire stay and we were there for three days.
People were trying to get things done but were new at there jobs and they had to keep calling someone else..
The name change. Should have said formerly Baymont inn. Drove around block twice. No ammenities. Refrigerator did not work and I needed it for my Meds
I liked the interior design in the room
It didn't have a refrigerator or a microwave
The heating worked really fast and the beds were really comfy. Great price and quiet.
The staff as I waited to check in argued to how to check me in on computer and the asked me for a fifty to a hundred dollar deposit which should have been mentioned while booking..something about new owners request.. this should be brought to booking. Com attention not the guest. Needs more parking light and the dennys next to it out of commission for repairs.
The bed was comfortable and I slept like a rock after my 5k run
The location was not the best, there was creepy people with teardrops on their faces and employees were not that friendly when asked if they had a water bowl for dog. Also we didn't have a door mat, no breakfast like a normal Baymont has, old hotel and the deposit of 50 dollars cash or 100 dollar hold on your card is nuts.
