Clean rooms Comfortable beds Easy location to get to
Busy street and lots of your typical New York noise...honking!
friendly and helpful staff
A few Wi-Fi connectivity problems when I first arrived, did get fixed that evening
Big room with three twin beds and to bathrooms. Great value for money. Not the nices area, but taxi is cheap. Totaly safe area though. Also i will reccomand Shanghai delux cafe close by. Very good food in genuine surroundings. Good beds. Good wifi.
The area. Have to walk a bit to shopping .
A quiet and nicely appointed hotel.
I would have preferred a top sheet on the bed in addition to down comforter. Very convenient if you do not have a car to park - it was a bit of a challenge to find overnight car parking close by
Although the location of this hotel next to Chinatown and Little Italy might not suit everyone, we liked it. It felt like being in a real community and not in a tourist trap. As we had my elderly mother with us, we relied on the Subway a fair bit, so being Downtown didn't make any difference and there were several lines nearby that we could travel on. The hotel is so close to a wonderful range of Italian and Asian restuarants and we were spoilt for choice. We felt comfortable going out at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our family suite was clean and more spacious compared to most NY hotels. The 2 double beds and king size in the adjoining room were comfortable and having 2 bathrooms for 5 of us was wonderful. They weren't very big but were clean and functional. The room had sufficient storage space and had a great view of the Bridge. There was unlimited free internet which was a bonus but it was not very reliable. However I would happily stay here again
design cleanliness location nice staff
very noisy outside and inside (loud people in corridor, doors slamming, traffic outside...) poor to no wifi connection
Price was great for booking last minute compared to others in the area. Clean room and very conformable bed. I would stay here again
No breakfast included but there are lots of great places in the area.
Everything was very good.
Great location near Soho, Chinatown and Little Italy. Near Canal St. subway which links you to everywhere. Lovely room, clean with a great night sleep. There aren't facilities such as restaurants, bars or gyms but you're in New York so you don't need them. This is reflected in the price which makes it great value.
Housekeeping was a little sporadic - not the cleanliness but things like restocking coffee and cups etc.
huge room for NYC, new, nicely decorated
the tub repeatedly didn't work and I felt like there was no communication between staff members. The hotel is really understaffed, especially at night--there one person on staff had to go help someone with a problem leaving my luggage unattended for 10 mins.
The rooms were comfortable.the staff were very helpful. Thank you Harvey for telling us about the exhibition at the Whitney :)
The hotel is new and employees are Always available to help you. You can find Starbucks and DDonuts just in the corner.
Localization is not so good mainly if you are a single woman on the streets at night. Subway is close, but I thought the hotel was closer to Central Park ( my mistake)... So you have to plan your comings and goings to hotel during the day.
New hotel with high quality of décor, on the edge of Chinatown and within 5' walk from metrostation Grand street. Compared with European standards I would give it 4*.
Cleaning was not optimal (dust behind the bedside tabel)
modern, new, comfortable beds, safe in the room.
no fridge in the room, small bathroom
- Good service from front of house staff in terms of recommendations for local restaurants and transport - Good quality bedding - Play on demand free to air TV
- Noise from street quite noticeable. Trucks and motorbikes heading up hill to Manhattan bridge can be quite loud - Bed light not working and not fixed during 4 day stay - Power plugs on desk not working and not fixed - Wifi dropped out and needed to be re-logged on every time - Cleaning was not very thorough - Beds would be short for anyone over 6ft tall - Only one lift for entire hotel so can be sow to get in and out
Location, location, location...BE hotel is located close to LES, Soho and TriBeCa. And easy to access from the subway. The staff recommended great/hip spots to eat and we were never disappointed. Excellent value for your money!!! Thank you BE!!
Wifi was spotty.
We were in a perfect spot. Enjoyed the room a lot which was roomier than others in the city and a great value. Clean sharp and enjoyable.
The rooms, the quietness. Cleanliness
Lack of room service.
It's a very clean hotel in a reasonably good location. It's in Chinatown and has good access to two subway stations, so very easy to get anywhere. The front desk staff were quite helpful and provided me with an excellent map.The wifi crashed for a short while, but otherwise was quite reliable. I had a wonderful view from my room of the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge and the Financial District.
I've never in my life stayed in a hotel that didn't provide teabags. A massive coffee maker but no teabags? That's discrimination against tea-drinkers!! ;-) But seriously, tea bags are cheap - throw a couple in the room and the room would be near perfect. Tea drinkers need their morning fix, just like coffee drinkers.
Rooms are very clean, comfy, modern, everything look new
Location, the subway stations are a couple pf blocks from the hotel, but at nigth chinatown could be creepy... But if you taking a cab, the hotel is worth it
Fast check-in. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient location. Phenomenal view. Good amount of space for a New York City hotel. Luxurious beds and linens.
Nothing. There was honestly nothing to dislike.
The staff at the front desk was always very helpfull.
Location great for 911 memorial museum, Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island
Friendly, helpful, professional staff. Small, well-edited rooms with all the bare necessities, but done with style. Extremely comfortable beds with a choice of pillows and Frette linens to boot. Very, very comfortable and clean. I hope they will keep up their attention to detail in the years ahead. I'd love to be a regular guest.
Room was quite comfortable, but there was a good deal of street noise, which can be par for the course in New York. Will certainly return, but not without earplugs. Also some half and half amongst the Keurig coffee amenities would have been extra nice, but I know that's getting a bit picky ;).
Great Concierge, Clean and Spacious Rooms and facilities, very good value!
