Very clean close to beach
Muni line was very loud and no elevator
The room was clean and I felt comfortable staying there. The location was great it's literally a short walk from the beach and a nearby coffee shop. It was pretty cheap considering that the location was so good. Overall I would stay there again, my friends and I didn't end up spending all that much time in the hotel because we were out all day exploring San Fran.
It wasn't the nicest room there were a few things here and there such as a boarded up fireplace that made the room look a little shabby. Not horrible, just not five star. And they only provided a couple bars of soap for the bathroom. I wouldn't stay here if you are looking for a nice hotel room to spend a great period of time in, our main interest was the city itself and we basically just needed somewhere to stay that was affordable.
Fun to hear the waves of the Pacific crashing on the shore
Less fun to hear the rumbling trains and loud bar late into the evening
it was noisy, disgusting, unsafe, smelly. We walked out and left our $200 behind, drove 1 1/2 hours to another hotel. How this place is even still open is beyond me.
Location is good, close to the beach, ZOO and city tram. Parking. TV.
First of all, there was a party going on 2 night in row when we stayed there, I don't know if it was within the hotel or out, but we couldn't sleep, the music was so loud! Room was old but renewed. Not too clean and very small. No breakfast.
Beware: the N train turn around is right by Beach Motel and runs through the night. The motel rattles and shakes everytime it goes by, which is a lot. Very noisy old, worn down motel which needs a lot of work, walls are paper thin bad location - not near anything except the N train absolutely NOT a good value for the money
The price was about all that was good, and even for that, I'm sure there were probably better places
Old, run down. very hard to find, I lapped the block 3 times before calling to ask where the place was
Parking space, room was OK
Incredibly noisy in the morning due to passing trams
The train passing makes the whole hotel shake; couldn't sleep at all. Heating system cannot be turned off. Refrigerator as noisy as a lawn mower. Carpet better not to touch barefeet
space, refrigerator, microwave , wifi, near beach
Metro is a bit noisy
Location and free parking added to our trip, as well as the great breakfast spot and pub within walking distance. The staff was great!
The carpet, the broken mirror in bathroom and missing towel bar.
The hotel definitely looks better in the pictures , location was good but run down . No air conditioning and the trains right out front runs constantly. Good news easy easy to ride downtown on the train.
No air, constant noise from the train .
Room was clean and bathroom was quite large. There was room service....was not expecting it..... Off street parking.
Hotel insisted that we PREPAY upon arrival prior to even seeing the room and the charge was non refundable. Manager very confrontational.Stated that he had to charge in advance as my credit card "might not be good"....despite the fact that I had booked months in advance. Stated that if I did not pay in advance he would not honor the rate and would charge additional fees. No where was this stated on Booking. Located next to the train/trolley which was very noisy and runs till late at night and starts early in the morning. No ice machine. No elevator.
Tram stop were near by the hotel, so it was easy & cheap (2 usd.) go to the city center & other places.
Tram traffic caused lot of noise, & hotel shaked when tram passed by!
Easy access to the city center via trolley line, next to very nice Golden Gate park and right on the beach but foggy coldish weather.
It was right next to a very noisy tram line, the rooms were damp, and the windows were unsafe. The neighbourhood is a bit run down.
Noise of the muni train
it was close to the beach
there was a bar downstairs very loud, train right outside the window, parking lot if you didn't know how to drive you wouldn't get out
location by the tram was handy, except for the noise
noise of tram older owner was rude younger son in law was very nice, but we did not get to meet him much
Location by the beach
Close to (not on) the beach.
Trolley noise and bar noise downstairs very late into the night. Floor to ceiling windows that are also difficult to close -- safety hazard, especially for children. How does this pass inspection?
The motel was very close to the beach and had free parking.
The staff were a little surly (when I wanted to get the wifi password, before talking to me he answered the phone and talked for 10 minutes while ignoring me. Also, there was a workman in our room when we arrived and we had to convince the staff member to give us another room). The room was clean but smelled like cigarettes and the metro went past all night sounding like a train. At $158/night I did not think it was all that cheap for such a poor place.
The hotel was on my route of bike riding down the coast. The desk clerk lady was friendly.
No first floor rooms which I wanted due to my heavy bike gear. NOISE of downstairs trolly cars.** VIBRATION of downstairs trolly cars. Drunks on sidewalk below at bar. ** The hotel is at the very end of the trolly car system and the cars are active until about 11:30 pm and start up at about 5:00am.
Nearness to the Pacific
Area really poor and too far from downtown
It was walking distance to the beach.
The hotel looks rundown.
I had no issues here. Staff were nice, room did the job!
Not much I didn't like!
