To go from the room to the pool, you have to first walk out in the cold to the elevator then go down to the main floor, walk outside to get to the lobby then enter the pool area. Great for summer but not for us who traveled in December. The kids had to wear coats, hats and gloves over their swimsuits just to go to the pool.
The magnificent view of the beach; The proffessionalizm of the staff; How everyone made us feel at home.
The only sad thing with our stay was... THE PARKING.....TOO SMALL!!!!!!! LOL
Tennis court area provided a safe area for the kids to skate board and play with some supervision. The pool area worked well for the kids to swim while the adults socialized and relaxed.
I would suggest towels at the pool area to sign out to your room. The card keys did not work well. While checking out the card stopped working exactly at 10am. We were locked in the garage and out of the room. Maybe change that to 10:30.
maid service was above average, front desk did a great job also
The location was excellent -- right on the beach and the rooms were surprisingly spacious. We even had a full kitchen.
Some of these units are timeshares so the front desk staff makes a strong push to get you to consider buying a timeshare.
Location and price for the off season.
Free internet was painfully slow, wallpaper was fraying in the bedroom, holes in the upholstery in the couch, counter in the kitchen was too high. Parking garage was difficult to navigate. I saw prices for high season too high for what you get.
I thought the price was very good, the kitchen was clean, and the view was Spectacular .
The room I stayed in was too dark, the bathroom lights especially, it was hard to see yourself in the mirror, the lights were on dim most of the time. The lights were not set up to be on dim, the light just did not give off bright light. There was a crack over the shower in the ceiling, the bathroom water faucet not put on properly so there was a hold showing in the plumbing, and chalking was pull away from the bathtub.
The location is very good.
So this place does time shares. I booked a room for 2 nights, when I got there I stayed in a room on the bottom floor then on the second night was moved to the 4th floor. The room I had on the bottom was right by the exit and the door slams shut if someone doesnt know to shut it easy. They also charged my card each night, also I was charge another night after I left and had to get them to refund the money. When I went down to the front desk to ask about why we were charged after the first night there were about 5 other guess complaining as well (all about differnt things). The staff was very nice and said they would take care of it, however no one took care of it.......
Staff was well trained
Bed could have been more comfortable
I didn't like the fact that we had reservations for a 3 night stay but had 1 room for the 1st night and had to switch rooms the next day. That was quite annoying
The location is at the end of the boardwalk, so it was a little quieter. The beach was right there, and you could sit out on the balcony and enjoy.
We didn't get our room cleaned on Saturday night, and at 7:30 in the evening, I called the front desk. The girl there was a bit rude at first and said we'd get towels in the morning. I pretty much demanded that we get the service we paid for and she changed her tune a little. The housekeeping staff dropped off towels, changed our sheets. The next day we had our sheets changed, but no fresh towels. Not very pleased with that service.
Great place to stay! Staff was helpful and very pleasant. Defiantly will be staying again
I love the location, a room with a full kitchen, and of course the incredible view right on the boardwalk. Having parking is good too if you can navigate the tight garage. There was a power outage to several blocks including the resort. The staff handled it perfectly.
I've stayed at the Beach Quarters several times, but I must say that it’s starting get into some disrepair. The doorknob to my room was difficult to work (room 212), as were all the doors leading from the garage to the suits. The door to my bathroom would not close. There is a horrible stench of cigarettes at the south garage stairwell. The front burner on the stove in my room was almost unusable due to the knob being stripped. The cleaning staff was in my room when I checked in. I had to wait 15 minutes before I could enter, even though the front desk said it was ready. Overall the room looked clean and smelled clean. However there was some mold in the grout in the shower. Yes I would stay at the resort again. I believe with a little better management, all the issues I raised would be resolved.
Good to stay with specially if you are with your kids..
I didn't like the fact of having to ask for towels and for my room to be cleaned. But overall a great view of the ocean.
Location of the resort to watch concerts while at the American Music Festival.
We had to ask for our room to be cleaned twice. When it was cleaned it seemed like it was rushed through.
Location and staff
Parking space design
I like the fact that all the rooms were ocean front and that you were able to use the other resorts.
The in door pool needed to be cleaned. It looked like it was full of algae. You could not see the bottom. The money that you pay to stay, there should have been a Continental breakfast.
Eveyone was nice, it was always clean, they was on time with all there services.
Kitchen, staff, amenities, activities for kids
bathroom, parking lot
The staff was Excellent... They were pleasant and Very helpful. There was a problem with our reservation and the staff went out if their way to accommodate us... We have 4 kids so that was not easy...
This is not specific to Beach Quarters but it is VERY difficult to find accommodations for large families
The staff was very helpful & courteous The rooms were clean We still had a nice time, but wasn't overly thrilled by the room
The parking garage was horrible if you had a mid-size to large vehicle. Way too small to maneuver around in, the room was very small & disappointing Closet door wasn't sized right so a 2X4 was exposed & very small. Stayed at a Best Western later that week for a fraction of the cost n room was much bigger
Location location location
Outdated sofas and beds
We declined the time share sales pitch but they kept trying to pursue it :-(
The only good thins about this place was that it was on the beach. The maintenance men (who we got to know) were the only friendly people.
Hotel staff very unfriendly, toilet would not flush and was located in a closet size room, shower handle broken and would not turn on, and the beds blanket had 3 large brown stains on it. For 350 a night you would think a clean blanket would not be too much to ask for. The walls must be paper thin because we could hear every word of our "neighbors" conversations and TV.
