Beach Stay Motel  

Gretchin, was wonderful, helpful, friendly, the rooms were quaint, clean, accomadating. Would recommend the location and would certainly stay again, Gretchin is "awesome".

Really needed more space to dispose of trash, larger trash container.

If we had more time there was so much opportunity for walks on the beach, play games, read books, & just relax.

Lack of time on our part

Spotlessly clean, decorated nicely, it had all we needed.

It was all good.

They had parking. The mini fridge was a good amenity.

I did not realize that they allowed pets in their rooms, and although they said they kept it clean-it did not appear to be so. I found white hairs everywhere. I could clearly hear other tenants conversations, including snoring. That immediately ruined any chance of a romantic atmosphere. Lastly, our bed was covered in sand! We didn't even really go to the beach, but each level of blankets had a good amount of sand. We shook out the top one and slept on top of the bed.

King Bed; Reading material of attractions and things to do/restaurants in the room. Free Wi-Fi, deck of cards, interesting books, small courtyard out back & small "porch" out front, child gate to keep doggie in.

Dish TV didn't seem to have much on except info-mercials or pay per view.

Our deluxe queen kitchen suite was perfectly clean and shiny. The decor was unique, with art from Asia and sailor motifs. Toys and games were available. It was good to have a kitchen to prepare food and sit down to eat, especially since most restaurants weren't open on Tuesdays in the winter.

Though shown as having room for four (three of us, mom, grandma and 3-year- old), the full-sized sofa bed almost filled the living room. The suite had everything, but was unusually compact. The bar stool chairs were unstable for both child and adults and glass table a bit unsafe.

The rooms were cozy and the beds nice.

The fact that the room was not vacuumed daily, if we needed the coffee replaced we had to ask. if we didn't ask for it to be done then nothing was done.

Love Rockaway Beach. The staff at Beach Stay was super friendly. Cute little cabins.

We really enjoyed staying here it was very cozy and the hotel staff was SO NICE! It was such a fun experience!

The only thing we didn't like was other guests smoking outside and having the smoke come inside because we had our windows open to enjoy the fresh breeze.

This is definitely not your standard motel box. There are only five rooms, each one highly individualized. We loved ours. Within easy walking distance of the beach. Manager was very nice.

First and fore most Gretchen and (forgot other ladies name) were awesome !!Very helpful and friendly. We were very close to the beach, Our room was very cute and clean.

I missed having a T.v in our bedroom. But slept like a baby without it !

It is close to beach. Bad was comfortable.

Room needs some update.

Several nice touches above what we'd come to expect in motels of this price eg real mugs for tea and coffee - so much better than polystyrene - a pot of pencils, salt and pepper there if needed. Also some comfortable seating just outside the room in the attractive little seating area - yes, other motels give you a seat outside but usually it's just looking out on the car park. That was nice with floral touches but additionally we took our breakfast on a three minute walk and sat eating it on the beach just looking at the ocean.

Very little not to like but the bed may need to be renewed soon and it would have been much nicer to have had another reading lamp on a tiny tiny table on the other side of the bed.

How neat, tidy and well maintained it is. They really keep a very ordinary place, so well manicured that it is extraordinary.

The refridgerator did not work...that was the only thing that was not really good.

I loved that it was right around the corner from a great beach. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! We had many questions about the area and they not only had answers but went out of their way to find brochures and print off things that we might also like. Gretchen offered us wood for a beach fire, something we had not even thought of doing and that is our best and favorite memory of the trip!

The just wish the shower had been bigger but that isn't a big deal at all really.

Simple, low cost accomodations that provided a great spot for the night and very close to the beach itself. Helpful staff. Would definitely stay again as when I am at the beach, I want to be outside and not spend a lot of money just to sleep. I am glad I found this little gem.

The manager was very friendly. It was one the cleanest motels that I have ever been in and I have been in a lot of them. Spotless.

Missed something to hang coats on.

The hotel was fabulous we didn't want to leave. There was a real home feeling to the place. I wish we would have booked for a longer stay. Someone did a very good job with the little extras. There was even toys placed out ahead of time for my childs age group. I would recommend.

conveniently located off of 101. Rooms were old but clean.

Best staff, quaint. Close to beach and town center. They provided complete privacy, did not enter room during our stay.

No closet or hooks for hanging clothes. Not discounted for a continuous stay w/out maid service.

Friendly owner, nice redo of an older motel, quaint rooms and yard.
