The water temp did change while in the shower. Wasn't by any means horrific, but went from cold for a quick second then hot, then normal. It just makes you get in and out sooner. The AC worked fine, but the motor itself was quite noisy. The other rooms did not seem to have that so I think it was just the system itself for that room. The towels were tiny and quite thin. But hey.........Keep an open mind here and realize you aren't in a 5 star highrise here!
The location of the hotel was actually surprising and quite nice. Every room has a balcony which you can see the ocean from. I had read the previous comments from other reviewers so I knew what to expect beforehand. The beds were to me a little on the hardside, but I slept very well on them. Our tile floors were not dirty, but brought my slippers regardless. The building is in need of an update, but realistically, you are in a building that is quite old and is in old time Wildwood. The town itself is still nostalagic in its own way. I thought the price I paid was well worth it. The lobby is quite nice and clean, both elevators were working, and never had to wait more than 1 minute for it to arrive. The desk staff was very nice and polite. And I never saw one bug in the place! :-) Housekeeping came by but nothng was needed. If you want the Hyatt this is not it, but it is also not the Hyatt pricing either. We stayed at the Bolero last year directly across from this hotel, and liked this one much better. We will be rebooking here again next year.
